Chap 119: big three clan

Morning rise, and with that, Takumi and his wife and child.

They soon got picked up by a lavish limousine, and the four soon arrived at the meeting. Takumi, Tojiko and his clone body Takune who is carrying Megumi walked through the large wooden gate to Gojo clan territory.

Both Takumi and Tojiko are wearing black and white colored kimonos with big, loose sleeves. Each of them has a notable attraction to them. Tojiko was avoided because of her menacing aura.

Next to Takumi's beauty, it was like the thorns of an alluring rose. Making every woman very much careful when they were close by. But there was something even more astonishing to look at, floating right above Takumi's head was a pinwheel.

While the clone only has a simple servant cloak to avoid suspicious eyes on him, travel close and behind them.

As soon as they walked through, there was a Zennin clan member waiting for them.

"Ah, you are here." Naobita greeted them, bowing at his sight, which earned some weird glances in their direction. "Takumi-sama." So did the clan women who followed her.

"Rise, Naobita-san." Takumi said, this action from her was enough to confirm the rumors.

"Let's get inside first, shall we ?"

They formed a line walking with Takumi, Tojiko to his right and Naobita to his left. They are walking together as Naobita slowly explains the situation to Takumi. His first time in public as the new clan head, Takumi listened to every word that was said.

Takumi had prepared himself on the way, thinking about what he should say as a Clan head, but he was not used to such an occasion. Thankfully, he has Naobita to learn how to manage a clan.

The clan women behind can't help but put their eyes on the floating wheel. Murmuring in small whispers together.

Tojiko, for her part, only cares about the people's gaze; one look from her can make anyone freeze in their step or just drop dead if she really wanted. That, however, did not stop the constant gaze aimed at her husband.

He was so focused on listening, she did not get much of what was said, but she guessed it revolved around how to be a clan head and whatever else it takes. She got a headache trying to understand just a few sentences. Her senses are tuned to hear a lot of things around them, enough for it to become annoying.

And before Takumi could tell, he was at the door to the meeting. Here, everyone else has to stop; only he can go in.

There were three types of meetings that the clan leaders needed to seriously participate in. First was the National Councils meeting which brought together the big three clan, their elders, some small clans that have a bit of push to get in, the heads of various departments, and the clan leaders themself. It wasn't an actual meeting, more like a public gathering of high-class individuals that was held each year.

The second type is the more businesslike meeting, which is more serious and is taken with more weight as it delves into the state of the curse spirit and how they are being managed across the nation. This type has much more influence by the higher up as excorsicing curses is how Sorceress and the like made a living, of course, there is also more stuff regarding jujutsu being used for personal gain. From what Takumi heard, they gather to pass judgment on people as the judge, jury, and executioner if need be.

The other type of meeting was the Clan Leaders' Gathering, which was restricted to the clan leaders only. They usually met once a month to discuss how their current clan is being handled. Or to make a big anouncement, such as the rise of a child who has the six eyes and limitless or the new head of a clan. Traditionally, meetings such as this existed since the beginning of Jujutsu and were seen as something sacred. Mostly used for communication between clan heads.

The big door opened and Takumi walked right in, not before giving his wife a goodbye glance.

Inside, there were three large crescent tables forming a circle. White, red and black, Takumi walked over to seat himself at the black table. He can feel eyes landing on him the whole time.

The jujutsu world is a secret society after all, they don't have the need for things like an emblem. The most important is curse energy, and so every clan of the big 3 picked for themself a color. White for Gojo's six eyes and limitless, Red of Kamo's blood control and Black of Zennin's ten shadows.

Signaling not only their symbol but the very piece of fabric on the table holds a curse energy signature that is unique to their clan alone. Not all clans have this right, however, so they can only be under the banner of one of the three colors.

"Greetings to you, Zennin clan head." The voice came from a lady at the white table. She has long white hair while wearing a fully white Kimono.

"Thank you, Gojo clan head. You may address me by name, Takumi." He looked at the white table, "greeting to you, and to you as well." He addressed the red table.

"Then I hope to do the same, call me Kara." The clan head of the Kamo is an elderly lady, in her fifties or less, from what Takumi guessed. She wore a loose-fitting Kimono with black and red as the main colors.

"It's fine for me as well." The clan head of Kamo spoke up, "I am Narime."

Takumi smiled inwardly, the meeting was starting out quite smoothly. But partially from his own looks, and he did not mean beauty. Their eyes, he can see, are directed at the eight-pointed wheel.

'These women, well, at least I wasn't meeting any trouble.'

Everyone was taking turns to talk, showing their achievements while being respectful toward each other.

The Gojo clan was the first to announce some event; their connection to other nations' governments has just gone up. Many of the clans that follow them have an increase in Jujutsu sorceresses being born.

Narime Kamo praises a member of her clan who has gone up to a Grade 1 sorceress. Along with achieving some minor development in the world. Building some more facilities, but was halted by the government.

Takumi occasionally drops in his opinion once or twice; the other clan head did not pay much attention to it. He cares little about that, only that he can show he is worth the position to sit here.

"So...the rumors were true." Narime Kamo casually moved the conversation to Takumi, her eyes now looking straight at him. All three of them knew what she was talking about.

"Yes, I am the new holder of the Ten Shadows technique." He said, right now, it would be better if he confronted them than trying to change the flow if he did not want to be seen as weak.

"I am quite interested," Kara Gojo said, "How did you manage to tame the last Shikigami. From what I know, that is the wheel of it, right ?"

"Indeed it is, would you believe me if I told you that I beat it myself ?"

The room fell into silence; he could tell they were genuinely considering that possibility.

'They must be really spooked if they look like that.' Takumi's curse energy had not dropped by a bit since entering the room; he could guess they were trying to discern if he was really telling the truth by his power.

"I must say, by your looks alone, it would be quite unbelievable to say you have the ten shadows."

"Is this not enough proof?" He pointed up, looking innocent.

The Kamo clan head snorted mockingly at this, "Well sure for your own clan member, but we are from outside your clan. We're going to need something more than a floating wheel."

Right away, Takumi did not think too much about it, so he put out his hand to form a hand sign.

"Divine dogs." From his shadow, two dogs jump up to the table.

"Hmmm.... seems smaller than I anticipated." The Gojo clan head sounded almost disappointed when she said it.

"My clan heir could stop this thing in an instant." And here it is, spoken in a condescending tone. The Gojo clan head talks as if everyone else is below her.

"Sure, not every clan could be blessed by both the Infinity and Limitless." The Kamo said, trying to defuse the situation and then added, "but it is such a shame the Zennin clan head did not show us his strength."

Now he sees it, they're testing him. To see how deep this lake goes. Well, he can play too.

"I would certainly show you my power, but too bad there's no target for me."

"Oh why, this is the perfect occasion, we'll be here to play. Right Narime ?" Nara said.

"There's even a spot where you can show us." She pointed to an empty field leading through the back of the room.

"And what if I accidentally use too much of my power and harm you two. I don't want to accidentally kill you two."

"Oh don't worry about this old girl. I'll be on the sideline." Narime Kamo said in a lax tone.

"So...what do you say, Mister Takumi, woman enough for a fun spar ?"
