Chap 120: Zennin vs Gojo
The two clan head circle each other inside a small circle, the gravel ground clicks on the soles of each combatant's feet.
Takumi had agreed to this "spar" but with a condition set, of course.
"What I want is simple, treated with respect, fitting the position that I have." He didn't demand any valuable object or anything that could cause the ire of the other two clans. Just the simple notion of being respectful toward him and his clan as the symbol he now bears.
"Hmpm." A condescending look from the gojo clan head eyeing him, "Why of course, then I must ask something out of this as well." She said, in a sarcastic tone of voice.
"Name it."
"How about your hand ?"
The silence that followed was palpable, everyone in the room was in speechless awe at her sheer audacity.
"I'm flatter, but I'm-"
"A married man ? Not like I'm not asking for you to spend a night with me, I just want a good fuck." A wide, cocky smile on Kara's face as she said it.
After a short silence as their eyes observed one another’s, he sees in her, greed, ambition. And she saw a calm man who could be bullied.
"Very, well."
-------------
"The rule of the spar is simple, first, the combatant can not use curse technique or weapons on their opponent." Narime explains the rules.
'So I can use my technique on myself?' Takumi thought. The rule only forbade him from using his technique on the other person, not himself.
"Second, you win by pushing your opponent out of the ring or knocking them out." She let out a brief pause before saying, "Understand?"
""Yeah."" Both Takumi and Kara said. Walking into the ring in their simple garment, ditching the formal clothing.
Kara was topless, only wearing black pants, a white band wrapping her tits together. Showing a muscular 6 pack and wide shoulders, she winked at Takumi, who was in his modest white robe, covering his body from her predatory eyes.
"Ready ?"
The two opponents both got into their battle stances and slowly inched towards each other. Curse energy flares up on both of them, enhancing their physical prowess to max output.
Takumi has his feet firmly planted, one arm at the side and one arm forward in defense. He can see that Kara's right foot was already out in front, and her upper body’s center of gravity was considerably forward.
"After this, I'll take you back to my place. I have a very comfortable bed waiting for us." Takumi didn't respond, so she kept talking by herself, "Maybe you'll even ditch that muscle head bitch, hehehe."
Takumi's green eyes dilated, outwardly, he did not show any emotion at all. Only silently observing Kara's stance.
"Begin."
Lunging forward, the Gojo clan head was in a flame of blue curse energy. She attacked Takumi, who was in a deep crimson shade of red and black curse energy.
With a barrage of fast and powerful punches hammering at his guard, Takumi was shocked.
'This is...limitless.' his feet quickly found balance again as he dodged more punches.
Just one punch was enough to pull his brain out of his head, had he not infused a ton of curse energy into blocking, he would be on the floor.
'The Gojo clan, your family technique cannot be underestimated.' He shuddered to think about "her" when experiencing this technique firsthand.
Kara still has that grin on her face, a face full of confidence. Her punches brought great force behind them, but Takumi did not dodge any of them.
Instead, he let the curse technique keep hitting his most defended spot as he evaded around Kara.
Meanwhile, the wheel above him spins.
Takumi smirked internally, he certainly didn't plan this, but a chance to help him adapt to the famous clan technique won't come like this again.
*click* 'This should take about three more spins.'
*Whoosh*
"Is this the power from someone who is a clan head ? Pathetic."
*click*
*crack* Takumi used his left fist, let out a quick jab, which was supposed to hit her face. But Takumi's fist only hit an invisible wall and that his head was jerked backward.
“Damn it!”
"Hahahhah, what is that ?" Kara laughed loudly, "So weak and you call yourself a clan head, you're just some whore that fuck the right bitch."
*Thwack*
She landed another punch to his abdomen, almost sending him out of the ring. Takumi had a hold of her with his arms and lifted her into a choke hold.
"That's cute, you think I would be in trouble by this trick-" her words are cut, a realization suddenly hits her.
"Why can you touch me ?" Baffled by this action, she was enraged, and her curse energy began to rise from her body like gas pouring into a flame.
"What's the matter? I didn't realize the Gojo clan was so careless." Kara's expression only turned more fierce as she increased her technique output by tenfold, yet her limitless did not reactivate. No, it was like something was nullifying her technique.
'Domain amplification?' She managed to glimpse at Takumi's hand, which was glowing a dark color of curse energy.
"You must be thinking I'm using some kind of anti-domain technique, right ?"
*click*
"Well, you're almost right." Had he actually used an anti-domain technique, he wouldn't have been able to adapt to her curse technique.
What Takumi did was much harder, using the nature of his shadow. He can disturb the flow of other sorcerers' techniques. Similar to how Megumi can break a domain using ten shadows, he uses the same theory to hinder Kara's use of her technique.
'And the best part ? I can still use my technique.'
"Yield."
She had thought she would easily win, but instead it was she who was losing in this match.
"Me ? Yielding to a man ?" Her face was red from anger, more curse energy flowed.
'Where does he have all this strength from ?' Struggling to break Takumi's hold, Kara can't believe that she is losing a tug of strength against a man.
Using her one free hand, she tries her hardest to pry him off her, but he won't budge even a little. Her own physical strength can't make him move at all.
This was due to his shadow making it so her limitless having much more difficult to effect him. And the more curse energy she resorts to, the more it accelerates Takumi's adaptation.
Just like that, Kara got choked, her knees bent down, her body went slack as more oxygen was deprived from her lungs.
"FUCK YOU!" Angrily shouting from the top of her lungs, a blue ball of curse energy formed.
"You mad bitch!"
"Limitless: blue."
*click*
*BOOM*
Narime was about to intervene when Kara's technique went off. A blue flash covered the entire ring, setting off an explosion.
Through the smoke, Takumi walked out without a single wound on his body. Kara was in one of his hands, held by the back of her neck. She was completely unconscious, hair disheveled, and her body went limp.
Narime Kamo stood frozen, disbelief etched on their face.
"I've won, so announce my victory already."
"The winner is Takumi..."
