Chapter 149. Suggestive
Succubi Chapter 149. Suggestive
I looked at her helplessly. “I was just walking! I didn’t do anything!”
“You were thinking something,” she said flatly.
I froze.
She raised an eyebrow. “Weren’t you?”
My face got hotter. “I— no— I mean— maybe—I don’t know—”
“Evan,” she said slowly, “were you imagining something… suggestive?”
“Define suggestive?” I tried.
She gave me a look.
I broke instantly. “I blame you! You and the towel and the perfume and the wiping and—”
She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “I knew I shouldn’t have let you wear that.”
I rubbed my head. “Okay, how do I fix this? Do I… punch a wall? Eat a chili pepper? Take a vow of silence?”
She stepped closer, inspecting me like I was a magical grenade mid-tick. “You need to lower your intent. Your internal monologue is too loud. If you’re thinking about dominance, pride, s*x, or rope, it feeds into your aura and people feel it.”
“STOP SAYING ROPE,” I hissed in horror.
She smirked. “So it was rope.”
I covered my face with both hands. “I hate this.”
“You love it,” she said sweetly, poking my chest. “And unfortunately, it loves you back.”
I groaned. “How long does the aura last?”
“Until you chill,” she said. “And maybe drink some water.”
I looked around again. Even more students now. Some just confused. Others clearly too interested. One guy was whispering to his friend while pointing at me with his notebook.
I slumped. “Can we go back to the dorm now?”
She nodded. “Yeah. Before the rumors spread and you get labeled as the Incubus Prince of Sector S.E.X.”
"I'm not an incubus!" I cried.
She just hummed and started walking ahead. "Not with that attitude."
I wanted to throw myself into the nearest bush and roll in dirt until the scent vanished. Instead, I jogged to catch up with her, trying to keep my face neutral, my thoughts holy, and my steps calm. Which was harder than it sounded considering Evelyn’s hips were doing that sway thing, that sway thing that looked like it had a physics engine of its own and was out here causing mental lag spikes.
Every time I tried to focus on my breathing, the image of her from earlier today, towel in hand, wiping my sweat, leaning close, flashed again in my brain like a cursed pop-up ad.
No rope.
No moaning.
No Evelyn pinning me down and…
STOP.
I shoved that thought away and bricked it shut with shame.
Focus.
I exhaled slowly.
But the aura?
Still there.
Still humming around me like a pride-laced fog machine. Still triggering glances. Still making people hesitate as we passed, like they were waiting for me to issue a royal decree or seduce someone’s pet dragon.
Three more girls turned their heads.
One dude literally saluted.
I didn’t even know him.
I muttered, “I need an exorcist.”
Evelyn didn’t look back. “Or a girlfriend,” she said casually. “Might help with the overflow.”
“Don’t say overflow like I’m some enchanted faucet.”
“Right now, you’re a mana geyser with unresolved tension and a perfume-boosted ego.”
I glared at her. “That is very specific and too accurate.”
She grinned. “I’m very observant.”
I hated how smug she sounded when she was right.
And then…
Another disaster came.
“YO!”
The voice boomed across the quad like thunder wrapped in energy drink fumes.
I turned.
I shouldn’t have.
But I did.
And there he was.
Leon.
My brother in crime.
He stood maybe twenty feet away, one hand raised in greeting, his other arm casually slung over his satchel. Tall. Grinning. Walking like he had no clue the storm of ‘whatever this aura’ was had already detonated in full force around me.
I met his eyes.
That’s it.
All I did was look at him.
And that was apparently enough.
He stopped walking.
His grin faded. Slowly.
His face changed. From bro to… serious bro.
Like some ancient instinct kicked in and started downloading instructions from a higher power. He blinked. Took a breath.
Then…
He went down on one knee.
One. Damn. Knee.
Like we were in some medieval drama and I was about to hand him a cursed sword and a kingdom.
He dropped his bag beside him, lowered his head dramatically, and raised one clenched fist over his chest.
“I’m here to serve you, my lord,” he declared.
Loudly. Very loudly.
And we were still at the halls!
I cringed so hard I think my spine tried to invert. My soul left my body and filed a complaint.
“No— Leon— what the hell—”
People were staring.
Like not just glancing. Staring.
Some girl dropped her notebook.
A guy tripped on nothing.
Someone gasped like they’d just seen a rare artifact.
I waved my hands. “Stand up! Get up! This isn’t the medieval age!”
But Leon stayed right there. Kneeling. Head down. Dead serious.
“Your aura demands fealty,” he said solemnly. “I obey.”
Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose. “Oh my god.”
“Oh my me,” I corrected, horrified. “Leon, please, don’t start a cult.”
He looked up, eyes glowing with absolute nonsense. “You already started it, man. I just joined.”
I turned to Evelyn. “We need to go. Now. Immediately. Run.”
“Agreed.”
And we dashed.
Like actually dashed.
Through the courtyard, past the confused students, away from the guy now loudly swearing allegiance to the very idea of me.
I heard Leon call after me, “Wait! My lord… do you want me to carry your books?!”
“NO.”
We didn’t stop until we were halfway down the shaded path toward the estate. My breath was ragged. My face? Still hot. My soul? Slightly wounded.
Evelyn bent over slightly, catching her breath. “I can’t believe your aura activated Leon’s loyalty kink.”
“He doesn’t have a loyalty kink!”
She looked at me. “Evan. He bowed.”
“That’s just Leon being dramatic!”
“Leon is many things. Dramatic is baseline. Bowing is new.”
I groaned. “Do you think it’s contagious?”
She looked at me seriously. “I think if one more person drops to their knees, we’re going to need to start charging them tuition for worship sessions.”
