Chapter 150. I’ve Put My Eyes on You For a Long Time
Succubi Chapter 150. I’ve Put My Eyes on You For a Long Time
I leaned on a tree, head tilted back to the sky. The clouds above didn’t care. The breeze didn’t help. My body still felt like it was humming with some infernal frequency.
“Okay. Okay. We’re almost at the dorm. Once we get in, I’ll lock myself in the bathroom. Cold water. Meditation. Anti-pride chants. Something.”
“Or,” Evelyn said, tapping her chin, “you could let me help.”
I squinted. “Help how?”
“I’ve read about aura redirection. If we channel it properly, we can mask it or reroute it into a containment field.”
“…That’s a fancy way of saying what?”
She smirked. “That I’d have to sit on your lap and keep eye contact for five uninterrupted minutes while touching your chest.”
I froze.
“…That’s not containment,” I said carefully. “That’s activation.”
“Could be both,” she offered, too casually.
I stared.
She stared back.
Her eyes sparkled with the same gleam that started all of this.
My pride aura pulsed.
A cat meowed nearby.
I turned around and walked faster.
I reached the estate steps and practically slammed the door open. The cool interior finally hit my skin like salvation. The lights hummed softly.
I was home.
Or at least, back in the zone where no one would bow to me or ask to be tied up.
I dropped onto the couch in the lounge, exhaling like I’d just survived a battle.
Evelyn sat next to me, close enough to keep my panic alive.
I was still recovering from the whole 'Leon on one knee' episode like it was some cursed fanfiction scene someone summoned into reality. And now here she was, casually sipping from her thermos like I wasn’t currently dying inside.
“You really need to get a grip,” she said after a moment.
“I have a grip,” I muttered. “It’s just slipping a little. Like, violently. Off a cliff.”
She turned to look at me. Her expression was calm, almost annoyingly so, and she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear like we weren’t talking about demonic emotional instability.
“If you’re horny, you better keep it contained.”
I blinked. “Excuse me?”
“Or,” she said with the calmness of a girl explaining weather patterns, “you should keep your mind straight. Because the stronger you get, the more you'll activate this.”
“This,” I echoed.
She gestured vaguely at my face. “The aura. The charisma.”
I looked at her seriously now, my face still hot from earlier, and asked, “Why?”
“Pride demon’s charm,” she said simply.
“That’s it?” I huffed. “Just like that?”
She nodded. “As simple as that.”
Her tone was maddeningly teacher-like, but the air around her held that sharp clarity. Like she wasn’t joking. Like she knew. Like she’d seen this before.
“Pride demons are the most complex sin demons above all,” she added, like she was reciting from some ancient monster manual. “They’re regal, demanding, magnetic. You don’t even need to cast a spell. Your existence can draw people in if your intent is unstable. Pride feeds on attention, desire, dominance.”
“That sounds exhausting.”
“It is.”
My voice softened, my thoughts slowing. “So… this aura of mine. It reacts to my thoughts? My emotions?”
She nodded again. “Your aura isn’t just leaking power, Evan. It’s inviting things. People. Feelings. Even trouble. And it’s not always what you want.”
I fell silent.
Deep in thought.
If I could do something like this just by walking around in a sweat-soaked uniform and thinking questionable things about ropes… then what about someone who's been a pride demon longer?
What about the current King of Hell?
What would his aura look like?
How many people did he attract without trying? How many eyes were locked on him every second? Was it control or chaos? How did he even function?
I whispered, “He must have had… followers. A lot of them.”
She tilted her head. “Of course. That’s the point of Pride.”
I looked down at my hands. They weren’t glowing or anything, but they still didn’t feel normal. My body felt hot again. Not temperature-hot—just… charged. Like I was one step away from floating without casting a spell.
I cleared my throat. “So how do I settle this? The aura. The... horniness.”
Evelyn smiled.
Smirked, really.
A sharp, slightly evil smirk.
“I can help you.”
I froze. “How?”
She stood up without answering and extended her hand. “Come with me.”
“…That’s ominous.”
She just wiggled her fingers.
Against my better judgment, I took her hand.
Her grip was soft. Warm. Smooth. Dangerous.
She led me through the dorm hallway, cool tiles, humming magic lights, faint spell glyphs flickering near the walls, and headed toward the girls' side.
Which instantly gave me a bad feeling.
“Wait,” I said. “Wait, wait, wait— we’re going that way?”
She didn’t stop walking.
“You’ve already been inside Lilithland,” she said casually.
“That doesn’t even mean I could roam around like a pervert.”
She stopped in front of a door. Her door. The nameplate said EVELYN. in stylized cursive.
She opened it.
I stared.
“…Wait. Are we—?”
Behind me, the door clicked shut.
Evelyn turned and smiled. “Yes.”
I stopped breathing.
The room was warm, softly lit with gentle rune lamps glowing faint pink. Her bed was neatly made, sheets the color of wine and shadow. A soft scent of perfume, hers, lingered in the air, blending with something citrusy and something sharp.
I turned to her, words slipping out before my brain caught them. “That means… you want to do s*x with me? Fulfilling my dirty wish.”
Silence. Then her lips curved.
She smirked, slow and knowing. “Just… you know, Evan.”
She stepped closer. Close enough that I could feel her heat, close enough that the air changed. I didn’t move. Couldn’t. My heart was doing parkour in my chest.
“I’ve put my eyes on you for a long time,” she said quietly. Not teasing. Not joking.
