Luffy’s Journey in Impel Down Part 3
So, all Luffy had right now was his strength.
He needed some level of emotional support, and he could only get that from people he knew.
This Buggy might not be the same as his Buggy, but he understood Buggy to his core.
So, he felt a bit better being around Buggy. That's why he didn't ask for a condition.
He also knew one of the conditions would be about some kind of treasure map.
Hearing what Luffy said, Buggy struggled in his heart for a moment before he replied.
"My two conditions are simple. You need to take me out of this prison."
Luffy nodded immediately.
"You need to give me this. It looks pretty." Buggy immediately showed that the greedy merchant looked as he stared at the arm band that Luffy had.
"Huh? Does this have some kind of treasure?" Luffy was confused when he heard the second request. Because he knew what kind of person Buggy was, he believed only the treasure could move him.
But this arm band looked completely normal. So, the only thing it could have been was a treasure clue or even a treasure map.
"Ahh! You know about it. Curse you, Straw Hat! Now that you know about the Great Treasure of Captain John, how can you give it to me??? Huh?"
Buggy almost burst into tears when he heard Luffy's words. He didn't expect Luffy to know about this arm band. But the next moment, he was stunned because Luffy passed the arm band to him.
"It's a treasure, right? You are as greedy as Nami. Only the treasure map can move you. You can take this, but you have to make sure I reach Level Six."
Luffy said nonchalantly. No matter how good this treasure was, it wouldn't be as important as his brother's life.
"Yo-y-you are really giving it to me. But-but I haven't even taken you to the second floor."
Buggy burst into tears as he held the arm band in his hand, but deep down, he was giving a thumbs up to Luffy for his open mind.
"I believe you will. Besides, you can't escape this prison on your own, can you?"
Luffy said.
Suddenly, Buggy reacted as he remembered his previous words and said.
"Wait, you said Level 6. How do you know about that? I didn't know about the mysterious floor before I was captured here. From what I've heard, that floor holds some of the most powerful and dangerous criminals."
"Since level 5 generally has prisoners with the bounty around one hundred million berries, your brother must've been sent to that mysterious level. I can only send you to Level Four."
Hearing that, Luffy frowned and said.
"Alright, but you need to wait for me. I won't leave this prison without my brother."
Seeing this, Buggy nodded.
"Hahaha! You understand me, Straw Hat. I will wait for you since only you can take me out."
Knowing that Luffy had awakened Haki and could use it rather easily, Buggy had no choice but to rely on Luffy.
Otherwise, it would be extremely hard to escape this prison.
"By the way, whose treasure does it belong to?"
Buggy laughed.
"Hahaha! I would be an idiot to tell you that this treasure belongs to Great Pirate Captain John….. Ugh!"
'I was so happy that I told him.'
He clutched the arm band.
But Luffy casually nodded and said.
"I don't know this person. So, how did you get caught?"
"It was a sunny day. I was with my crew trying to dig up the treasure of the Great Pirate Captain John. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the back of the marine base."
"So, I was captured and brought to Impel Down. It's a sad story."
But before he could continue, Luffy said.
"Are you an idiot?"
"Shut up! You of all people don't get to call me an idiot." Buggy roared.
Unexpectedly, Luffy nodded his head.
"I know. But you are still an idiot."
"Straw Hat, you are too blunt."
Bang!
Just when he said that, Buggy crashed into the wall.
"Huh? There are people behind this wall. Is there a path to the second floor?"
Luffy raised his eyebrows and pushed Buggy with his right arm. He used Buggy to break the wall and enter the control room.
"No! This is the control room."
Unfortunately, Luffy heard it too late, or Buggy said it too late.
"Who are they?" The guards inside began to scramble and roar.
"It's the escaped prisoner, Buggy the Clown, but who is the other one?"
Another asked while sweating heavily.
'Guard Room! That means…'
Before he could think, he was sent crashing through the wall and into the strange forest.
The forest below them was full of red spiky trees
"What is this?" Luffy frowned and asked.
At the same time, he also heard some noise from the control him.
"Monitoring Room! There are two of them. They just entered….."
Luffy turned his eyes towards the forest and said.
"There were many people, but they seemed to be in miserable conditions. What are these trees?"
"They are Blade Trees. They are said to be so sharp that they can cut like knives. This is no ordinary forest."
"And those spike needles of grass below them. The Jailors release poisonous spiders down there so that prisoners get cut and paint the floor red."
"They are all writing in pain. This is Level 1 Crimson Hell."
Buggy snot was flowing all around as he cried while falling.
"Please help us!"
"Save us!"
Those prisoners saw Luffy and Buggy coming down and begged for help, but Luffy didn't do anything.
He just had a worried look on his face as he thought about Ace.
"I hope Ace didn't go through a similar situation."
Snap! Snap! Snap!
"Huh? Straw Hat, wait, you are flying?"
Buggy turned his head and widened his eyes when he saw Luffy stepping on air.
"Isn't this the moves marine used? Ahh! Wait, I can also fly."
Buggy remembered that he could fly and placed his feet on the ground while hovering his body above those spikes.
While flying, Buggy said.
"Normally, you need to find a staircase down below. But with my method, you don't even need a key. I know a hole that can take you to the second floor."
"It's an easy exit for a prisoner to get out of Crimson Hell."
While he was talking, they reached in front of a massive hole. It was quite big.
"It's a massive hole, and it's just right in front of them. Why don't they just use it to escape?"
Luffy asked in confusion.
"Because there is even a worse hell down there. People want to escape from hell, not just right into it."
Buggy said with a terrified tone.
"Alright then, let's go!"
Luffy nodded and directly jumped into the hole.
"Ahh! That impulsive idiot. Damn it! If I want to escape this place, I have no choice but to rely on him."
Buggy muttered and jumped.
As soon as he jumped, the monitor room was notified.
[They have jumped into Level 2]
Unaware of their actions, Luffy and Buggy were about to meet another person who had a relationship with them.
Galdino, aka Mr. 2, looked outside the prison and muttered.
"What's going on? Those beasts are angrier than usual. Did something bad happen?"
"Well, I am too weak even to be afraid. No matter what we do, we will all end up in the belly of a beast."
And that beast was exactly facing Luffy and Buggy.
The gigantic monster that looked like a bird with giant wings and feathers screamed at Luffy and Buggy.
"This is quite a big monster."
"Don't just stand here, Straw Hat! Do something! It is looking at us like it is to chomp on us and swallow us in a single bite."
Buggy was crying while holding Luffy's arm.
"Don't you think it's cute?"
Luffy asked while smiling.
Buggy's mouth opened wide as he grabbed Luffy by his neck and pointed his finger at the beast.
"How do you find that beast cute? That is a monster, a monster that eats people. We are the size of his claws. Come on, do something! Use your Conqueror Haki and knock him down."
Luffy waved his hands and said.
"Although my Conqueror Haki works quite well on animals, it is quite taxing for my body. I can't use it continuously."
"Besides, this guy is too weak."
Hearing that, Buggy took a deep breath and asked.
"You can defeat it."
Roar!
The snake beast that was born out of a chicken looked at two tiny humans talking about it and released a powerful sound.
Its name was Basilisk, and it was the second in command of the Second Level.
"Hey, bird, come down here!"
Facing its roar, Luffy simply waved, but when he saw the bird attacking them with its claw, Luffy clenched his fist.
