Luffy’s Journey in the Impel Down Part 2

At this moment, Luffy had gone through several different paths, but he couldn't find the way to the second floor without destroying anything.

He was glad that he could use Soru even in this body. He was capable of moving around at great speed, which was blurry in the eyes of those image-capturing snails.

But it didn't take long for Luffy to sense a strange presence. It was a familiar presence. If he hadn't met this guy a long time ago, he wouldn't remember this presence.

He immediately rushed toward the chaos even though it might expose him.

When he saw Buggy being chased by some strange creatures, he waved his hand and shouted.

"Buggy, I'm here."

Buggy was surprised by this voice. Because he couldn't forget this. When he saw that stupid face underneath the straw hat waving at him, he couldn't help but cry.

"Straw Hat Boy, I was wrong about you. You came to save me."

Buggy was angry at first, but when he saw Luffy waving towards him, he immediately understood his intention and ran towards Luffy.

Though Luffy didn't understand why Buggy was crying, he focused more on the creatures behind him.

There were at least ten of them. He had to make this battle quick, especially with many image snails capturing his movement.

'Let's try it!'

Luffy closed his eyes to feel the Haki within his body.

Haki existed in the body of every living being. But only a handful of people could bring it out because most didn't know the method of awakening Haki.

For some people, there was an easier shortcut.

Reach a certain age and have a certain level of strength!

At the age of seventeen, this world's Luffy wasn't weak, but he lacked the opportunities to awaken Haki.

He was either facing someone far stronger than him or someone only at his level.

The only person he faced that pushed him to his absolute him was Lucci.

If he had had similar battles many times, he might have awakened all three forms of Haki on his own.

But after that, the only opponent he fought who was on his level was Moria.

And that's only because of his Devil Fruit. So, the battle wasn't fulfilling to Luffy, nor did it help awaken his Haki.

As for the enemy after that, he was decimated.

But even so, his body was getting closer to awakening Haki, especially Conqueror Haki, which he had already awakened.

'Hey! My Conqueror Haki seems to be the same. Well, it's a bit lacking compared to my real Conqueror Haki, but this Luffy hasn't mastered it yet.'

'No wonder Liam always told me that I have a great talent for Haki.'

Luffy's Conqueror Haki was stronger than this Luffy's Conqueror Haki, but that didn't mean much when this Luffy had barely awakened it and couldn't even launch it consciously.

Not to mention controlling it and learning Advanced Conqueror.

'Huh? My Haki….. I have full control over it. Even though I am not this Luffy, my previous mastery of Haki is with me.'

'But there is one serious problem. First, let's solve the situation, and then I can think about it.'

Luffy opened his eyes, and a scary Aura burst out of him. The red and black lightning traveled towards those beasts and knocked them unconscious.

The prisoners of Impel Down were stunned when they saw these Blue glory falling out of nowhere.

On the other hand, Buggy recognized Luffy's Haki, especially his control over Haki.

He lived with the Roger Pirates. He knew just how devastating the clash of Conqueror could be, but he and Shanks were never hurt by them.

Because his captain, vice captain, and navigator could easily perfectly control their Haki, and even if the enemy tried to use Conqueror Haki against them, their Captain could block it for them.

"Y-y-y-you have learned Haki?"

Buggy staggered his finger in front of Luffy and asked.

"Yeah? Is there a problem? By the way, how did you get captured, Buggy?"

Luffy asked with confusion as he looked at Buggy's prison uniform.

"Oh! That's a horrifying story. I will tell, but we need to move."

Buggy said as he ran past Luffy, but Luffy quickly grabbed him and brought him back.

"We need to reach the Second Floor. Take me there!"

Luffy said with a serious tone.

"Huh? Why should I help you, Straw Hat?"

Buggy snorted and asked.

Luffy knew what kind of person Buggy was, so he clenched his fist, coated it with Haki, and asked.

"Will you help me, Buggy?"

As soon as he saw the fist coated in Haki, Buggy realized this boy had already surpassed him far ahead in terms of strength.

He didn't want to stab his foot with the nail and pick a fight with this guy. So, he could only agree, but he still showed a proud look as he spoke.

"I'm only helping you because of our past relationships, Straw Hat. Don't think you can threaten me! I am the great Buggy the Clown. I am just paying you back for your help."

"Yes, that's all I am doing."

Buggy nodded, as if he was fully convinced that he wasn't threatened by Luffy.

"Alright, let's go!"

"Hey, wait! Help us too!"

"Yes, you are so strong. You can definitely help us."

"Please let us out!"

The prisoner saw how casually Luffy and Buggy were walking and shouted at the top of their lungs.

"Hey, am I tripping, or is there another person with Buggy?" One of the soldiers watching over the footage asked.

"There is definitely someone else. Those Blue Glories were defeated so easily."

"We need to find his details!"

While they were discussing, Luffy and Buggy were having a certain conversation.

"I will help you, but under two conditions." Buggy said with a serious attitude.

Luffy didn't think much and said.

"I agree."

"Okay, I will tell you my conditions. Wait! What did you say? You agreed?"

Buggy roared, his voice drawing the attention of several guards who were searching for them.

"Ahh! They saw us. We need to hide."

Luffy also realized the problem and ran away with Buggy.

"Aren't you going to ask me about the conditions?" Buggy was floating in the air while his feet were running on the ground.

"No matter what the conditions are, if you help me find my brother Ace, I will fulfill your conditions." Luffy spoke with a serious tone.

Naturally, he knew the greedy nature of Buggy was similar to Nami but he was in a terrible situation.

He went to sleep last night, woke up in the body of another Luffy who was much weaker than him, was inside prison, had to find his big brother, and escape.

He didn't find his crew. He was alone and a bit scared.

Luffy hadn't felt this kind of situation till he made friends with Ace, Sabo, and the Dandan family.

After being their friend, he was rarely lonely.

At the same time, he understood the desperation in this Luffy's heart. He had this weird sensation in his Observation Haki.

He couldn't go through the memories of this Luffy, but he could his emotions.

The fear, anger, and helplessness were weighing his heart down. As if a mountain were pressed against him.

Since his conversation with Robin, he understood why.

He and his crew were decimated by Kizaru. At this moment, he couldn't even use Haki, how could he fight someone at the level of an Admiral?

He believed that if Kuma wasn't present there, he might not have died, but his partners would've.

He understood why as well.

The reputation of his grandfather was still there. He knew just how much his grandfather loved him despite all of his actions.

At the same time, he also understood the weight of his grandfather's strength in the Marines.

If his grandfather went mad, all three Admirals would need to go together to stop him.

Just learning a simple move that his grandfather used, Luffy understood the true gap in power between him before fighting Kaido and him after awakening Gear Fifth.

With his Gear Fifth, he had the power to easily defeat his grandfather, but that didn't mean he could do the same without it.

That meant his grandfather wasn't weaker than Kaido or any other Emperor of the Sea.

All of this, just because he had learned his Grandfather's 'Galaxy Impact' by watching Liam do it again and again.

Unfortunately, this Luffy didn't know any of that. He was just crying in his heart, not understanding why he was so weak.

Luffy might have talent, but he needed some guidance to truly flourish.

That guidance came from Liam, but this Luffy didn't have Liam, which meant he was just enjoying the ride.

At this moment, a little bit of the grudge that he held against Liam for making him train every single day disappeared.

Because only when he came here and faced this Luffy's mind, he felt what true helplessness and weakness were.
