Luffy Versus Akainu Part 2

The atmosphere began to heat up. The heat from Luffy's Red Roc was by no means low.

As for Akainu Hell Hound, it was strong enough to pierce through anything, literally anything.

So, when they collided, the heat generated by these two attacks began to evaporate every drop of water on the island. Not only that, the air began to heat up and rise towards the sky.

Because of that, the area of their collision lost most of its air, causing a powerful wind to blow in their direction.

The wind only intensified the power of the flames, turning the collision of two fists into a collision of two massive fire hurricanes.

Boom! Boom!

The intensity of the explosions only began to grow. But Luffy kept punching downward with the best of his effort.

When Luffy's fist pierced through Akainu's fist, he quickly realized that his fire wasn't strong enough to burn Akainu's magma.

On the other hand, Akainu's magma was quite easily able to burn his flames. Not only that, he could only stand this level of temperature in his base form with Advanced Armament Haki.

Despite that, he didn't stop. His gigantic fist reached Akainu, forcing him to block Luffy's giant fist with his small fist.

Bang! Boom! Boom!

Though Akainu's strength was nothing to scoff at. At least, he was quite capable of blocking Luffy's fist with ease.

The collisions of their fists created a powerful ground-shattering impact and the residual magma only created more explosions.

Thankfully, there was no one on this island; otherwise, they would've been burned to death by these explosions.

Suddenly, Luffy released his leg towards one of the buildings and wrapped it around the pillar.

Because of the explosions and dust, even Akainu didn't notice him stretching his leg until he looked closely.

By then, Luffy's fist began to shrink, and his body flung towards the building. It rapidly spun around the pillar and was flung towards Akainu.

Luffy clenched his right fist, coated it with Armament Haki and Conqueror Haki before he reached in front of Akainu.

His movement was so fast that even someone with powerful Observation Haki wasn't able to sense his movement.

By the time Akainu noticed him through his Observation Haki, it was already too late.

Because Luffy was already in front of him, with his right fist coated in the colors of Armament and Conqueror Haki.

[Gomu Gomu No]

[Roc Gun]

Luffy punched straight at Akainu's chest. The impact brought by this punch was enough to shake Akainu to his very core. Some of his chest bone was even broken by this attack.

It wasn't a normal attack. It was a Conqueror-coated attack that even Akainu couldn't defend against.

But while this attack did harm Akainu, it also enraged him. The magma erupted out of him.

The ground began to melt, and the air began to rise.

Bang! Thud! Thud!

Before he could get angrier, the impact of that punch sent him flying several hundred meters to the other side of the island.

He struck the ground several times before coming to a stop, where he held the ground and melted it instantaneously.

Suddenly, his body began to merge with the ground as it turned into lava, and he disappeared.

Just when Luffy was feeling excited about landing a powerful blow on an Admiral, his Observation Haki gave him a strong warning, even showing him a short future.

He saw the ground erupting into blazing magma, but he didn't see Akainu anywhere until he appeared in front of Luffy out of nowhere.

Luffy wasn't a bright kid. Calling him dumb wouldn't be wrong, especially under normal circumstances.

But during the battle, he had an absolute genius-level battle instinct. Even though he didn't see where Akainu was coming from, he instantly deduced that he was coming from underground.

This clicked in, and he realized how Akainu was able to create pillars of magma from the ground.

[Gear Second] [Geppo]

Just when the ground began shaking, Luffy entered Gear Second and started running into the air.

Of course, he wasn't going to let Akainu hit him. That would be too dumb.

The shaking of the ground became more intense. The island cracked open, and several large pillars of magma erupted.

There were a total of seven pillars, each creating a certain distance from the other, making a strange formation with seven pillars.

[Seven Fang Destruction]

Those seven pillars spurted a stream of magma towards the middle. It merged in the middle and formed a massive wolf out of magma.

The wolf roared towards Luffy, who was staying in the air, and rushed forward. The feet of the wolf were constantly releasing explosions, helping it stay in the air.

"Chase him down, Fangs!"

Akainu roared as he placed both of his hands on the ground and released even more Magma into the pillars, creating another wolf with those pillars.

"What?"

Luffy almost gave a comical shout while running in the air. This wasn't a normal attack, as the wolf could not only fly but also chase after him.

But nothing was connecting it with Akainu. So, how could it chase after him?

Luffy was confused, but he couldn't find the answer.

Since he couldn't find the answer, he could do what he does best.

Fight back!

He stretched out his leg and struck the first wolf. When his feet struck the wolf, he felt that it wasn't attacking the wolf, but rather passing through it.

He became confused as he didn't know why his attack didn't work.

But this made Akainu's expression ugly.

"Burn him down, Fangs!"

He roared.

Nearly five of the wolves rushed towards Luffy from different directions and attacked him at the same time, with their magma teeth.

Seeing this, Luffy spread out his hands and feet in mid-air and started spinning. He spun so fast that his body almost turned into a sphere and started releasing punches and kicks from random directions.

[Gomu Gomu No- Fireworks]

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Luffy's attack kept piercing through those wolves, but these wolves kept getting back up, without suffering any damage.

It was confusing, but Luffy didn't stop. His fireworks could go on for a long time. So, this was just going to be a matter of endurance.

While those wolves might not suffer any damage, Akainu was getting inflicted by those attacks.

He had come to realize that even with this method, he wouldn't be able to take down Luffy because Luffy had a multi-directional attack.

Upon realizing this, he dissolved those wolves instantly and shot forward those seven pillars.

Each growing hundreds of meters in size and chasing Luffy!

Because Luffy had just finished Fireworks, he wasn't ready to face another attack. He had no choice but to defend against such an attack.

Otherwise, he would be left with severe injuries.

Luffy returned to his base form and covered his hands and feet with Advanced Armament.

When the first pillar attacked him, Luffy slapped the pillar in the middle from both sides. The slap managed to break the pillar.

But it was only the first pillar. There were still six left. He stretched out his leg and smacked the second pillar with a whip.

Bang! Boom!

The third pillar was destroyed by another leg whip while he covered his body with normal Armament and tanked the fourth pillar.

After that, he once again slapped the fifth pillar, kicked the sixth and seventh pillars.

After destroying all seven pillars, Luffy was left enraged. Because the previous attack destroyed his Armament Haki and left quite a lot of burn marks on his chest.

Just a normal magma with no Armament Haki coating was capable of destroying his Armament Haki and harming him.

It was an unprecedented but something he had to accept. Because Magu Magu No Mi was the Devil Fruit with the highest offensive power. He had heard Liam mumble this several times.

"Then, let's see which fire is hotter."

Luffy's eyes burned with determination. He instantly locked his Observation Haki on Akainu, forcing him to stay put and focus on his counterattack.

Luffy coated his fist with Armament Haki, contracting it into a ball. This started heating his fist. Soon, the smoke started coming out.

Akainu was surprised when he saw Luffy's hand heating, as he was too familiar with the heat.

But he didn't care much. He simply coated his fist with Armament Haki and Magma before shooting another Great Eruption towards Luffy.

This time, it was much more powerful and destructive. As the magma began to rise, it started expanding even more, almost reaching the size of a quarter of the island.

[Great Eruption]

At the same time, Luffy's fist also came out of the ball. It was red as magma, hotter than flames, and stronger than a giant's fist.

Luffy blew air through his other hand and expanded his right hand, slowly expanding the fist as well, bringing down a massive, red-hot fist.
