Luffy Versus Akainu Part 3

(A/N- In this chapter, I might go a bit overboard with attack names.)

Magma that was the size of a quarter of the island and a fist comparable to that collided in the middle.

When they collided, the entire island shook. Not just it, other islands also began to get affected.

The heat in Luffy's fist began to burn magma itself, while the fist began to pierce through the erupting magma.

Boom!

An explosion that was the size of an island shook the entire island. It almost destroyed everything within the island, causing every single building to collapse into rubble.

Drip! Drip!

Several large magma fell on the ground and top of those rubbles, melting them instantaneously.

The heat began to evaporate the sea water, and the island was being surrounded by the water vapor.

Bang!

Luffy's fist exploded upon colliding with Akainu's fist. This time, the explosion created a literal sun, although smaller than the previous explosion, it was more concentrated.

The heat from this explosion began to affect both Luffy and Akainu. Though in than few seconds, the effect of the temperature began to show no effect on Akainu.

While Luffy was still suffering from his attack. If he hadn't coated his hand properly with Armament Haki and used a much less concentrated version than that he used against Kaido, he would've been seriously injured.

Though this explosion did cause some serious damage to his hand. He had to instantly pull back his fist.

"Foo! Fooo! Fooo!"

When he pulled back his fist, he began cooling it down with his breath, though it wasn't as effective as he thought.

This time, Akainu didn't rush forward with hatred. Instead, he looked a bit surprised and had some level of recognition towards Luffy in his eyes.

Because he was magma, he knew just how strong this attack was.

"That was a good attack, Son of Dragon. Even the user of Mera-Mera No Mi isn't as good as you. By the way, I remember something. He is your brother, right?"

"Unfortunately, both of you are going to die. First, I will kill you here. Then, the marines will execute Fire Fist Ace in the Marineford. I don't know where you get your confidence to face two admirals, but you don't know a thing about Logia Fruit users."

At this moment, he began to drip magma all around him, except that the melting process was getting even faster.

"I am Magma. The temperature of the Magma is just the basic temperature for me. Borsalino and Kuzan were too lazy before. This time, even Borsalino can't remain lazy."

"Your Vice Captain is facing someone whose basic speed is light. And, you are someone whose magma will only get hotter."

"Face your death, Son of Dragon!"

Akainu roared and released a powerful fist of magma. It exploded towards Luffy, but Luffy was a bit too calm.

He was actually thinking.

When Akainu began explaining the advantages of his Devil Fruit, Luffy was thinking about his Devil Fruit.

After all, he had been using it as a Rubber Fruit. And, it was still a Rubber Fruit, but it was also a Mythical Zoan.

He knew he could only gain the true power of Mythical Zoan after awakening, but he wanted to obtain some of its power beforehand.

Just like how he had a lot of endurance and recovery speed of Zoan, he wanted to obtain more benefits.

So, how?

How could he obtain other benefits of the Mythical Fruit?

What exactly was his fruit even about?

Rubber, right? So, how could he utilize Rubber in different forms?

While Akainu's attack was coming towards him, he closed his eyes for a moment. He released his Observation Haki, Armament Haki, and Conqueror Coating at the same time.

'I need to find it. I need to find my fruit.'

Luffy thought to himself as he raised his left hand, facing his opponent with an open palm and his right hand clenched into a fist.

Suddenly, a smile appeared on his face as he let his fist loose and extended his fingers.

Before Akainu could see what happened, Luffy wrapped the entire Great Eruption within the palm of his hand.

[Gomu Gomu No]

Luffy started spinning his hand above him, as the magma began to drip out of his fist. Before it could drip into his body, he slapped all of that magma on top of Akainu.

[Power of the Sun in the Palm of my Hands]

Splash!

Akainu was squeezed into a paste on the ground. Luffy simply raised his hand and pulled it back.

Akainu had started bleeding from his mouth. That attack came out of nowhere, which confused him and forced him to take it head-on.

It was problematic since it was a Conqueror-coated attack.

Before he could understand what was happening, Luffy stretched back his arms and held the large mangrove tree.

He was instantly pulled into the tree, where he started spinning around with his arms and rocketed towards Akainu at a great speed.

[Gomu Gomu No]

[Juggernaut Charge]

Bang!

Luffy struck Akainu on the chest with his head, breaking some of Akainu's bones while sending him flying.

Akainu crashed into those molten rubbles and gritted his teeth. He couldn't believe he was attacked twice nonstop. He powered his Observation Haki to sense Luffy's position.

At this moment, Luffy didn't enter his Observation Haki range, which confused him.

But soon, he did sense Luffy. It's just that Luffy was coming towards him.

He had to raise his head when he saw a figure covered in flames rushing towards him from the sky.

That meant Luffy had flown to the sky and was coming towards him.

Luffy didn't stretch his body parts; instead raised his palm towards the ground.

[Gomu Gomu No]

[Buddha Palm]

Bang!

Luffy released such a powerful blast of Haki imbued air palm that it shattered the ground itself, pressing Akainu to the ground on his face.

Of course, that wasn't the end. His palm was imprinted on the ground and Akainu's justice cloak.

"Damn it, Son of Dragon!"

Akainu roared and stood up, only to find Luffy far away from him. At this moment, Luffy was using the rubber abilities' weirdness to its fullest.

He caught one of the torn pillars and spun around it, which sent him directly to Akainu, but this time, Akainu was prepared enough to dodge it.

Of course, it wasn't going to end here. Because when Luffy passed by him, he had already stretched out his hand and caught another pillar.

He used the pillar to send him flying towards Akainu at the same time. Akainu had no choice but to dodge it once more.

Luffy did the same, but with a branch of the mangrove tree. Akainu dodged it again, only for Luffy to do it again with another branch.

This time, Luffy faced a powerful counterattack from Akainu, who sent a massive pillar of exploding magma.

Because of this, Luffy was sent flying by the explosion. Fortunately, he quickly caught a nearby rock and went behind it.

Because the entire island was covered in post-explosion state, he only had a few things to hold on to.

But Luffy's previous attack didn't stop there. He continued, and this time, he went even faster.

His body was attacking Akainu from different directions, and every time, it looked like Luffy was bouncing on the surface of those things.

Only he wasn't.

[Gomu Gomu No- PingPong]

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

He was like a ball coming from different directions just to hit Akainu in the middle. Sometimes he failed, sometimes he succeeded.

But even Luffy knew he couldn't do it for long.

So, he stopped and prepared himself for another attack. This time, he had an idea of using Gear Second with Geppo to fly into the air and attack Akainu as if he were a mole.

That's right, he planned to play Whac-a-Mole with Akainu.

Just when he was about to put air into his bones, he noticed something from another island.

He raised his head to that island and saw Robin fighting against her opponent while being in the air.

Because of his playful attitude, when he saw Robin in the air having her clash, he momentarily paused.

"Robin!"

Unfortunately, Akainu took advantage and poured all of his hatred and anger into his attack, making his Magma even hotter than before.

Coating his fist with Armament Haki as well, he turned his hand into the shape of a claw and shot towards the air.

The claw-shaped magma attack struck Luffy on his chest. At the last moment, Luffy used Advanced Armament to the best of his ability; even so, he was a bit too late.

He was distracted by Robin and his playful attitude, causing him to bear the impact of the attack.

It ripped out some of his muscles and skin. If it wasn't for his strong Haki, it would've shaved that part completely.

"Argh!"
