The story of a snake
In eras long past, when the continents were yet untamed by the footprints of modern man, that entity was both a primordial terror and an unquestioned divinity.
Wielding an overwhelming power capable of subjugating entire kingdoms, laying waste to fertile lands, and striking down all who dared cross its path, its mere existence demanded the trembling veneration of mortals.
Or at least, that was its glorious fate until the tragic day when the very humans it once protected chose the path of betrayal.
Utilizing forbidden arcane arts and spiritual techniques that allowed them to perform miracles at the cost of their own lives, they confronted her at a moment of weakness. The battle was ferocious, lasting days and nights until one of the two sides fell.
But in the end, those who prevailed were the "humans."
Even so, they were utterly incapable of destroying her completely, so they opted to seal her away for all eternity deep within the earth.
Time passed, and days turned into years, years into decades, and decades into eons... until she finally awakened once more from her long slumber.
Now, imprisoned, resentful, and with her powers reduced to a mere shadow, the Snake Goddess could only watch helplessly as the place where she had fallen—losing everything she once possessed—became a shrine where prayers and praises to heaven transformed into a harmful energy that slowly eroded her soul.
She knew that at this rate, she would fade away forever.
But was it luck, or a miracle?
Today, an adorable-looking figure had appeared, with dazzling silver hair and mysterious white eyes, whose ethereal charm would make anyone second-guess their gender. In the entity's eyes, this was nothing more than a little girl blessed with an immense amount of spiritual energy and, even better, possessing a fragmented soul capable of accepting the essence of what remained of her without being consumed or destroyed in the process.
It was the perfect opportunity. Something like this might never present itself again for the rest of eternity.
So, gathering all her strength, she transformed into a mist of black smoke and, taking advantage of the child's deep concentration during prayer at the altar, entered the host's body, permanently fusing her essence with the soul until they became one.
Normally, this would allow her to read and influence the other's consciousness at will.
However, for some unknown reason, that was completely impossible inside this small child's mind.
To illustrate it, it was like trying to use an old, broken radio where you could only hear brief fragments of information between deafening static that constantly shifted channels.
With no other options available, the Snake Goddess had no choice but to reveal her presence within the mental plane, planning to take advantage of inherent human greed to achieve her goals.
Moving through the spiritual shadow, she projected her voice directly into Mireya's mind.
<"Mortal, be grateful for having been chosen as my vessel.">
The transmission echoed with a deep, heavily distorted resonance that completely obscured her female identity.
(Hiss...)
The mass of black smoke slithered slowly through the air, taking on the silhouette of a divine serpent.
"......."
Mireya looked confused, a clear expression of disorientation on his youthful face as he stared at the strange figure.
"Huh?"
Hearing that spectral, inhuman voice, he didn't seem to understand what kind of bizarre entity he was looking at.
<"I see that you desire power, which I can offer you.">
Taking advantage of that confusion, the Snake Goddess continued to expand her mist with a deep air of superiority.
"..."
Mireya stared in silence for a brief second before replying.
"For... real?"
The deity smiled internally at the naive reaction of the little creature before her.
<"Indeed. The only thing you have to do is subjugate many women and make them your concubines to become stronger.">
"........"
Mireya froze, staring directly without blinking.
<"And become the one who reigns over all!">
The silence became thick and heavy in the spiritual plane as Mireya let out a long sigh.
<"Are you ready to...—">
A small hand crossed the air at absurd speed, landing square against the fluid mass of the goddess.
(Smack!)
The sharp impact echoed violently throughout the entire mental space, scattering the dark mist in every direction.
<"Cough, cough...">
The goddess frantically tried to reassemble her form near the ground, trembling from the shock of the assault.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKIN' MIND, YOU DECREPIT OLD PERVERT?!"
