88 Encountering Orphans

"Manager Jiao, could it be possible to meet the alchemist master? I wish to meet the noble alchemist master." The alchemist Wang looked at Deng Jiao and pleaded.

Deng Jiao shook her head and said, "Sorry, the alchemist didn't come himself. His disciple came, but he didn't want to meet people.

After most of the people left the building, Deng Jiao invited Shi Tian to her guest room to chat.

"Here are the items that you have bought in the auction. And the spirit stones. The five spirit ascension pills sold for a total of 8.1 million low-grade spirit stones, and you have spent 230000 thousand on the items, so your remaining spirit stones are 7.87 million spirit stones."

"Huh, you didn't take your cut." Shi Tian questioned. He knew that the Auction house charged a fraction of the amount as a handling fee to auction the items in their auctions.

Deng Jiao shook her head and said with a smile, "No need, Brother Tian. You are our most noble guest. How can we take a fee from you? By auctioning your pill, our auction house's prestige soared in the sky. It is already a very generous gift."

Shi Tian thought for a moment and nodded.

After chatting with her for a while, Shi Tian walked out of the auction house.

The Red Cloud City was very big, if he were to decide to walk around the city, he might not able to complete a circle of the city in one day. As he was wandering on the street, his ear perked slightly as he heard something.

Shi Tian walked into a small alley that looked a little deserted in contrast to the lively market and came to a small shop. It was a small clinic.

Around a dozen children aged from 6 to 14 years old gathered in front of the clinic. From their clothes, one could tell these children were poor. All of them were looking at the person who was lying on the wooden bed, an old man was standing beside her checking on her condition.

A woman in her twenties was laying on the wooden bed, her eyes were shut, and her breathing was slow. Her face was pale as paper and an air of death surrounded her.

This young woman was originally supposed to be healthy, but now, not only she was healthy, but her body is even weakened to the point of being a body without muscle.

The old man looked at the girl and frowned as he looked at the girl with difficulty, he could tell that she was near her death. Saving her was out of his ability.

"Uncle Wa, please do something."

"Please save sister Shuang. We beg you!"

The children pleaded and beg to the old-aged man who seemed doctor of this clinic. The old man looked at the children with pity and sighed slowly, "Childs, I am helpless. Her condition is severe, the normal medicines aren't effective against her illness. Only spirit medicine could cure her, but alas...sigh!"

They were just poor mortals, where could they afford spirit medicine? They didn't even have money to give to the old man. When children heard the words of the old doctor, their faces became pale as their eyes filled with despair. Small ones immediately burst into tears.

The old man looked at the children's crying faces, then he looked at the girl and sighed.

The sick girl was the sole caretaker of these children. She was an orphan as well and grew up in the same house. The previous caretaker of the orphanage passed away a few years ago and because she was the eldest of them, she took responsibility for these children.

Naturally, their life was not easy, but they somehow managed to survive under the care of the girl.

At this time, a young man arrived in front of the shop when the old man's eyes fell on the young man, he was surprised. The young man was handsome, wearing expensive clothes, and has a immortal aura around him.

The old man's face changed, he immediately walked to the young man and said polity while bowing respectfully, "Sir, what bring you here?" The young man was naturally not an ordinary person. The old man was curiously inwardly why this young man came to his shop.

"What is going on here?" The young man was naturally Shi Tian. The old man didn't dare to neglect and explained the situation to the young man.

After some inquiries, Shi Tian found that these children were all orphans. Their orphan caretaker was ill, so they came to the clinic for medicine. However, the condition of the person was grave and this small clinic was unable to save that person. These children were poor, naturally, they didn't have money to go to a better clinic.

Shi Tian's heart couldn't help but melt after watching the pitiful faces of the children, and sympathy rose in his heart.

"Let me see her!" Shi Tian spoke slowly. Although he wasn't a doctor, he had many healing pills. He decided to give it a try.

"Huh, what do mean sir?" The old doctor was startled and asked.

"I said I want to see her, see if I can save her." The old doctor was stunned; he couldn't help but glance at Shi Tian. Shi Tian's words really puzzled him. 'Why would he want to see her? Is he a doctor? No, he didn't look like a doctor, he is too young.'

Although the old man was surprised and curious to hear his request, he didn't dare to reject Shi Tian. Without any delay, he immediately invited Shi Tian into the shop. Shi Tian walked into the shop.

"Children hurry up, step aside!" The old man immediately said as he told the children to give him some space. The children were naturally surprised by the arrival of Shi Tian. Curious, wary, puzzled. The children have many expressions on their faces after seeing Feng Yun.

However, fear was top. They were born and lived in the city, and had experienced many things over the years.

'The mortal cannot offend the cultivators or noble; it was not the biggest sin of a mortal.'

The elder ones immediately recognized that Shi Tian was a noble son from his attire, and they backed away, dragging the younger ones along. Shi Tian wanted to comfort these children, but on second thought he decided not to and focus on the sick girl. As long as he saved her, they would stop crying.

Shi Tian arrived near the sick girl; his face couldn't help but frown slightly after seeing the girl's physical condition. Shi Tian reached out to hold the hand of the girl. His divine sense moved and scanned the body of the girl. Shi Tian didn't sense any sign of spirit qi from her body, but he did sense some kind of weird aura from her body, but it was not fatal. However, her current body was very weak due to disease, which was why the weird aura was having a very negative effect on her body.

Shi Tian was not a doctor, nor did he read books about the disease. He could tell that she was suffering from fetal disease, but couldn't tell the name of the disease.

"Sir, what is it?" The old doctor looked at Shi Tian and asked. There was hope in the old man's eyes when he looked at Shi Tian. Because it doesn't matter if Shi Tian was a doctor or not, he looked noble and a cultivator. If he decided to save this girl, then she would.

At this time, the youngest orphan who was a small girl asked out curiously, "Uncle Wa, who is he? What is doing to sister?" She was still half crying and afraid, but she still bravely took a step forward and spoke.

"Sush! Xiao Yuan, be quiet." The old doctor immediately said. He looked at Shi Tian and hurriedly apologized, "Sir, please forgive her, she still is a small child."

"Don't worry." Shi Tian said to the old doctor.

Then he looked at the small girl and showed a gentle smile and gestured to her to come close. The small girl hesitated for a moment before slowly walking toward him.

"What is your name?" Shi Tian asked gently.

"Yuan, Xiao Yuan!" The small replied. Shi Tian's gentle expression somewhat relieved some fear from her of a stranger.

"Okay, Xiao Yuan! Don't be afraid. My name is Tian. I will not do anything to your big sister. I was checking her condition to see if I can cure her."

"Save her! Really, Big Brother, can you save big sister?" Xuan Yuan muttered before jumping, she held his hand and asked nervously in a shuttering voice.

"Please save her!" The young girl's big blue eyes became teary in an instant, as she spoke while holding back her tears. Not only here, the others orphans also started begging.

"Alright alright. Don't cry. I see what I can do. I will try my best to save here." Shi Tian said gently.

Little Yuan quickly wiped her eyes as she quietly nodded multiple times. Hope once again ignited in her heart that was extinguished a moment ago.
