DXD 0005: Acting on His Whims

After Akeno woke him up, she had her own things to do. So, Abaddon went to take a bath after she told him that he has a connected bathroom with a hot spring. He thought that it was pretty dope.

He walked out of his room and to the Occult Research Clubroom after wearing the Kuoh Academy uniform that Rias had given him the previous night.

Just as he walked into the room, “Did you bully my Queen?” Rias was sitting behind her desk with a menacing expression on her face. The other members of her peerage were nowhere to be seen.

“What? No.” He said with a frown as he took a seat on the couch, “I just asked her to help me undress before we went to sleep while spooning. Why would you think that?” He asked with an offended tone.

“Oh… It’s just that she’s refusing to tell me what happened so I thought that you bullied her.” Rias heaved a sigh of relief after hearing his words. “Though she told me that her demonic power’s concentration has increased…” Rias trailed off, hoping that he would tell her. She had gotten up from her seat behind the desk and walked to the couch to sit with him.

“Not telling. You have to be my body pillow for the night if you really want me to tell you.” He said to Rias with a smirk.

“Come on, we’re cousins, it’s weird,” Rias whined as she stomped her foot on the ground before taking a seat beside him. “We’re devils, Rias. This kind of stuff doesn’t matter.” He reminded her.

“Yeah, but…” She was interrupted, “Shush,” He put a finger over her lips, “Be my body pillow and know, or forever stay ignorant.” He smirked before pulling away from her blushing face as he got up from the couch. “I’ll get to class…” He said before leaving a final comment, “Take care of the arrangements.”

…

Abaddon had an irritated expression as he walked into the classroom. ‘I’m technically older than you…’ He grumbled inwardly. Rias had put him in the class for one year below hers, which annoyed him. But not to the extent that he makes a move himself to change things up. He was lazy that way.

Without knocking on the door, he walked into the class, interrupting them, “I’m the new guy. My name is Morpheus.” He said and just as he was walking to his seat he heard, “Holy dick!” A girl with glasses was looking directly at his crotch, ‘This place seems full of degenerates…’ He thought, remembering the incident from the previous day where multiple women were chasing a group of three boys. He cast a weak compulsion on the teacher to not make a big deal about his attitude and continue what he was supposed to do.

“Miss Aika, please refrain from making such remarks in my class. This is your only warning.” He said, but the girl named Aika was too occupied with him to say anything. ‘Girl, I know I’m devilishly handsome, but you seem to be obsessed with me within seconds of seeing me…’ He was getting weirded out.

He also heard some passing remarks in the class that he was comparable to Kiba Yuuto and bullshit, which he promptly ignored. Kiba was just Rias’ servant and was far from being comparable to him.

The class went on in monotony as he looked around at the people in the class. ‘There are those three perverts… Why in the world would Rias put me in this place?’ Apart from the three perverts, there were 5 more males and the rest of the class was female.

‘I guess that since they just made this place co-ed, the females are in abundance in comparison to the guys…’ He thought, ‘So fucking bored…’ He was already done with this stuff.

“I’m gonna go take a walk…” He said and walked out of the classroom, ensuring that the professor didn’t throw a tantrum with a slight mental compulsion. He also glanced at the girl who seemed to have gotten obsessed with him instantly, making sure that she noticed his glance. ‘Let’s see if that pervert chick takes the bait…’ He thought amusedly.

A few seconds later he sensed her following after him and got an interested smile on his face.

“Wait up!” She tried to stop him, “Hey, wait up!” She grabbed his arm after he didn’t stop. “Are you talking to me?” He asked.

“H-Hi, my name is Aika Kiryuu…” She said to him shyly. “You’re the chick that shouted holy dick when you saw me…” He had a look of realization as he looked at her. “Ahem, ahem… That was an accident.” She said, her glance going to his crotch every once in a while.

“Somehow I don’t believe you.” He narrowed his eyes at her, amused at her behavior.

“You’re packing, man… Like you’re huge and the girth… God!” She blurted out just as he called her out. Now it was his turn to be surprised, “You can tell?” He asked.

“Yeah, I can judge the size of a guy’s manhood just by looking at the outline of his pants.” She said in a weirdly proud manner. “Interesting indeed…” He looked at her as if appraising a rare treasure. “Hmm…” He was deep in thought as he looked at her.

“Please stop looking at me as if you’ll eat me up soon…” She shivered at his intense gaze.

“Let’s go out tomorrow after school, I want to test something,” He said nonchalantly, “Huh?” Aika froze when she heard his words, “Tomorrow, after school. Don’t forget it and be ready.” With those words, he turned around and started walking. He was exploring the school by himself and looking around so that he could find someone familiar to pass the time with.

A slight spike of energy made him look out the window in a specific direction where he didn’t see anything. He squinted his eyes and two magic circles formed in front of his eyes, acting as lenses through which he could see. ‘Kiba, huh?’ He thought as he saw Kiba practicing his sword fighting in the camouflaged dome, ‘Why not, I’m bored enough here as is…’ He thought and jumped out of the window before leisurely walking to the free area of the ground where Kiba was practicing in.

Kiba was practicing fighting against a training dummy as he tried his best to perfect his moves.

Suddenly he felt an unfamiliar presence behind him as he didn’t hesitate to swing his sword behind him, intending to cut the unfamiliar person in half, “Well that’s just rude…” Abaddon commented casually as he let the sword hit his torso. Kiba’s eyes widened as he realized who the person behind him was, but it was too late, the sword had already struck. He felt as if his sword was like a hot knife through butter, “Huh?!” He thought in disbelief as he felt the weight of his sword lessening.

It wasn’t that his sword had cut through Abaddon, whatever parts of the sword touched Abaddon had disintegrated. Kiba didn’t let the surprise last for too long, knowing Abaddon’s fearsome reputation as the leader of the young generation in the rating games despite not fighting alongside a Peerage.

“My apologies, Abaddon-san.” Kiba bowed with a sincere apology. “It’s fine. In fact, I’m impressed by your quick reflexes.” He said. Kiba could tell that he was just saying that to appease him, but didn’t mind.

“I’ve never used a sword, do you mind teaching me?” He asked to Kiba’s surprise, “You want me to teach you?” Kiba asked with surprise.

Abaddon shrugged, “I’m bored and have nothing better to do, I thought I might as well socialize with you.” He didn’t really care about using a sword. His Power of Destruction was more than enough of a weapon for him.

“O-oh… It would be my honor…” Kiba agreed naively, not knowing that he was going to regret it a lot later. “Cool.” Abaddon said and looked around the field where all sorts of swords were buried halfway in the ground, “This is Sword Birth, huh…” He mused aloud as he grabbed the hilt of a sword and pulled it out, “Pretty useful for a group conflict with multiple sword users…”

“So how should I take the stance?” He asked Kiba while casually holding the sword. Abaddon’s posture and even his grip told Kiba that this would be a difficult endeavor. ‘For Buchou…’ He thought as he took the harrowing task of teaching someone far stronger than him about the most basic stuff of Sword Fighting.

…

“Why do you think he’s here?” Rias was looking out the window of the Occult Research Club. Her field of view was directly toward the hidden ground where Kiba and Abaddon were training.

“Honestly, I have no clue… He acts on his whims and doesn’t really seem to have a plan. He just does whatever he wants to do…” Akeno said while sipping tea.

“Unrestrained and free… I’m envious.” Rias said with a wry smile as she saw the duo of Abaddon and Kiba take a break after Kiba asked for one, having been training for a while now. Rias saw Abaddon turn directly in her direction and wave at her and got flustered. She waved back with a wry smile as she went back into the room.

“He noticed you?” Akeno asked. “Yeah, and he seemed to know about me since the start since I came to look at him and Kiba…” Rias said as she took a seat in front of Akeno.
