DXD 0004: Sleeping Buddies

Abaddon went into the room and was satisfied by the ambiance of his new abode for the foreseeable future. He went over to the huge bed that was more than enough to house him and multiple people on the bed comfortably and lay down, “I need a maid…” He mumbled as he felt like it was too much work to change his clothes.

‘I’ll look for someone tomorrow when I attend school.’ He thought as he didn’t bother changing his clothes and closed his eyes.

A few minutes later, a weak red aura was shrouding him as it seemed to be emitting from every single pore of his skin. Though it wasn’t dissipating into the air and was seemingly being absorbed back into his body after being released.

This was a regular training exercise that he does whenever he was sleeping. He used his Power of Destruction to tamper his body. As it flows through his entire body with a weaker intensity, it destroys his cells and the newly created ones are stronger and slightly more immune to this energy. This was only possible due to his natural regeneration as a devil.

He had been doing this kind of training for a couple of years now and he could easily manage the slow destruction and regeneration of his cells with ease, being able to ignore the pain that came with it. It was to the extent that he did this training instinctively even while asleep. As a result of this training, his natural regeneration was also much stronger than the average high-class devil and he could easily recover from most wounds quickly.

Within a few years of this training, he was sure that he would also have true immunity against Destruction energy and would be able to use many riskier moves as a result of that. This also served to better his control over his demonic energy and Power of Destruction.

He could do this training consciously and unconsciously. The only difference was that when he does it consciously, the effects are better since he can focus on specific areas of his body and work on some areas with a higher intensity. All in all, he was able to maintain a balanced level of enhancement throughout his whole body with a mixture of conscious and unconscious training.

After a few hours, he opened his eyes and thought, ’Should I unpack? Fuck it. I’ll get someone to help out and have her do all of that stuff for me.’ He thought as he kept lying on the bed and continuing his training.

A few more hours later, there was a knock on his door, “Enter.” He said, not bothering to get up or even open his eyes to look.

The door opened and Akeno walked in with hesitant steps, “Greetings, Abaddon-san.” She was wearing a kimono that was tightly wrapped around her perfectly busty body, highlighting all her curves. She was barefoot as she walked to his bed and stood at the side, her long hair that reached her calves swayed with each step she took.

“You agreed?” He didn’t really expect anyone to show up and was just shooting his shot. He wouldn’t actually have minded if no one came. Though he would’ve teased Rias for chickening out.

“Of course, Buchou asked me. I couldn’t refuse. And Abaddon-san is so handsome, I couldn’t hold myself back.” She hid her embarrassment behind her flirty mask as her coquettish smile didn’t give away her real feelings.

“Really?” He smiled before opening his eyes to admire her and said, “Help me take off my clothes. Then we’ll go to sleep. And since you agreed to my request, I’ll give you a little bonus for your willingness.” He said cryptically with a teasing smile.

“As you wish.” She said and stepped up to the bed. He sat up and spread out his arms. She slowly opened the buttons of his shirt, starting from the top. With each button that she opened, she was exposed to his muscular chest and a blush crept up her face, but she opened all of the buttons of the shirt with a flirty smile and took it off, leaving him half naked. She even trailed a finger over his chest to flirt with him.

“My shoes and pants too.” He said, allowing her to take off his shoes.

Akeno hesitantly knelt down in front of him and took off his shoe and socks before doing the same with the other in quick succession. Then she got up quickly and started helping him with his pants, “Could you get up, Abaddon-san?” She asked and he got up.

As she took off his pants, he was left wearing just his underwear.

“God… I can finally breathe now… Thank you, Akeno.” He smiled appreciatively at her and brought his hands to her waist, touching her gently. He could feel her shiver even through the kimono. That told him enough about how her current state was far from what her composed expression told.

“Let’s sleep. Would you like to take off your clothes?” He asked. “N-no Abaddon-san. I sleep wearing my kimono.” She lied.

“As you say,” He shrugged his shoulders and let go of her waist before lying back down on the bed on his back. “Come on,” He opened his arms, inviting her.

She hesitantly got on the bed and let herself fall into his arms. “Don’t worry so much. I’m not some big bad devil who will eat you up…” He paused, “Half of that sentence was false. I’m definitely a big bad devil. But the other half was completely true. I won’t eat you up, I promise. At least without your consent.” He said earnestly, making Akeno giggle, “It’s fine, Abaddon-san. I trust you.” She said, making herself comfortable.

“Good night then, Akeno.” He flipped her around and wrapped one of his arms around her waist while the other went under her head, allowing her to use his arm as a pillow. He pulled her close to him as his leg tangled against her slender ones. Her back was pressing against his chest and her butt was pushed against his crotch. He didn’t leave even a tiny bit of distance between them.

As he spooned her, his face was close to her neck and Akeno could feel his warm breaths on her neck feeling herself shiver every once in a while.

“Abaddon-san…” She called out but didn’t receive any answer, “I guess he’s already asleep…” She mumbled before closing her own eyes too, ‘Though this is pretty comfortable… I can understand why he would want to do this…’ She thought as she felt extremely comfortable as she was wrapped in his protective arms.

After a few minutes, Akeno also fell asleep. And soon, Abaddon’s instinctive Body Tampering started running by itself and started strengthening his body.

The weak red glow that was released from his body was the residue of the power after it cycled through his body. That residue was being absorbed into Akeno’s body instead of going back into Abaddon’s body. And instead of making her feel excruciating pain due to her body being destroyed, the energy was naturally absorbed into her body and was melding with her demonic power.

This residue Power that melded into her demonic energy had the effect of making it slightly more concentrated so that even with a lower power output, she would be able to cast a stronger spell.

Although this would result in the lowering of the quantity of her demonic power, the long-term benefits would outweigh the losses. This would allow her energy tank to be able to store a higher quality demonic energy and allow her power to increase with the same output of energy.

The whole process was making Akeno’s body warm up and she got even more comfortable as she felt amazing while instinctively pressing herself against him even more.

…

In the morning, Akeno opened her eyes feeling extremely refreshed. She was feeling like she’d just had the best sleep of her life.

“Mmm…” She hummed while opening her eyes. That was when she realized that there was another source of heat beside her. She finally registered Abaddon’s presence as his arm was still wrapped around her waist and his legs were tangled up against hers. She also felt the presence of a distinct appendage pressing against her butt she instinctively froze after registering its presence.

‘Get it together, you’re a devil… And a sadistic devil at that…’ She told herself as she decided to show some initiative, ‘He’s helping Buchou so much, this is the least I can do for him…’ She thought.

With that thought, she wiggled in her spot and after a few minutes of work, she freed herself from the prison of comfiness that was Abaddon’s embrace and got out of bed.

She walked over to the area of the room with the mini kitchen and decided to prepare some tea for him. Just as she cast a spell to warm up the water, it all started boiling with too much intensity.

‘What?!’ She was utterly surprised as she hurriedly canceled the spell, ‘What happened to my control?’ She thought with panic as she examined her demonic power.

‘It’s reduced in quantity…’ She realized with a frown, ‘But it is also more potent and dense…’ She looked back at the sleeping figure of Abaddon and had an expression of pleasant surprise on her face, ’So that’s what he meant by gift…’ She thought in appreciation.

As she realized that, she decided to not use magic and prepare tea in the most authentic way. Both to show her appreciation for his help and because she didn’t have the time to test the correct output of energy for her spells.

A few minutes later, she was kneeling on the bed, the cup of tea that she just prepared was on the bedside table. She looked at his peacefully sleeping expression and brought her hand to his face, running her fingers through his hair, “Abaddon-san. Wake up. We have school…” She said in a gentle voice. He didn’t respond and she tried again. After a few attempts, he finally woke up, “Let me sleep…” He turned around and wrapped the blanket around himself.

“We have school, Abaddon-san. We’ll be late. I prepared tea for you…” She chuckled and tried to wake him up again.

“Ugh… Fine.” He groaned and woke up with an irritated expression. As he sat up halfway, leaning against the headboard, he said “Help me drink…” He said, too lazy to move his arms. Akeno obeyed and blew on the cup of tea before bringing it close to his lips, “Here…” She smiled at him gently.

“Thanks…” He mumbled before taking a sip. “This is amazing…” He blinked before taking another sip of the tea. “Make this for me every morning…” He looked at her imploringly with hints of sleepiness in his gaze. “As you wish, Abaddon-san. I would be glad to serve tea for you.” Akeno smiled.

“Perfect, you’re assigned as my sleeping buddy from now on. You’re not allowed to change your mind.” He decided and nodded before taking the cup of tea from Akeno’s hand and sipping it. Akeno didn’t know what to say as she sat there quietly while he drank the tea.
