Chapter 515: A Fool’s Last Gamble

Boing! Boing! Slap! Slap!

"Ahem... Morgana?"

As we walked, Vespera suddenly called out to me, her voice tight—strained.

"Yes?" I replied lazily, not bothering to turn around.

"Can you... please stop doing this while we walk?" she asked, a hint of desperation in her voice. "It's distracting."

"Hmm?..." Confused, I turned around to see her face. She was beet red and a bit drooly. I looked down and realized what I was doing.

'Ah... Well… that explained it.'

Actually, it wasn't my fault.

Three of the six crimson ribbons trailing behind me had clearly developed a personality of their own. They curled and coiled around Vespera like mischievous serpents, playing with her ass. Boinging and slapping her cheeks.

Her breasts were also being playfully squeezed, and it seemed that the crimson ribbons bypassed her leather armor and were playing with her naked skin.

"Ara~ Ara~... My apologies," I giggled, pulling the ribbons back. "They can be a bit... playful sometimes."

'Especially when they sense a nice ass.'

"Playful?!" Vespera snapped, her voice cracking. "They're—!"

She stopped herself mid-sentence, biting her lip as she turned her head away, ears faintly tinted.

"…Just control them."

"Hehe... I will try," I chuckled, focusing on my energy. "Alright, girls, behave."

The ribbons fluttered in response—almost sulking.

How adorable.

One of the crimson tendrils, clearly ignoring my order, gave her left cheek another playful boing! before retreating with a cheeky little swirl. The other two hovered near her hips like mischievous cats, ready to pounce again the second my focus slipped.

"Morgana."

"I'm trying, I'm trying," I laughed, flicking my fingers to yank them back properly this time. They coiled around my waist like sulky pets, still twitching. "They have excellent taste, what can I say? And you're walking right beside me, waving that perfect ass like a red flag."

"My ass is not a red flag!" she hissed, stomping ahead to walk beside me instead. Her silver hair bounced with every angry step, and the tight leather creaked in all the right places. "And stop staring!"

"I'm not staring. I'm appreciating art." I tilted my head, letting my crimson eyes roam shamelessly. "Very fine art. Museum quality. I might have to frame it later."

Her ears twitched—those cute dark-elf ears that always gave her away—and she turned a deeper shade of crimson than my ribbons.

"You're impossible. One second you're squashing guards like grapes, the next you're… groping me like some perverted succubus."

"Ara~ But you love it," I teased, blowing her a kiss. "Admit it—your nipples were harder than those daggers."

"Sh-Shut up!" she hissed, but her cheeks burned brighter, and she quickened her pace, her hips swaying just a tad more than necessary.

Hehe... feisty as ever.

We continued our walk through the grand palace halls, the oppressive silence broken only by the faint echo of our footsteps and the occasional drip of blood from the ceiling.

The crimson ribbons fluttered behind me, occasionally twitching as if itching to misbehave again. I kept a tight leash on them, though, for Vespera's sake. Her face was still flushed, and she kept shooting me sideways glances, her purple eyes a mix of irritation and something hotter.

'A good dicking later will settle her down.'

Rumble!

A low tremor shook the floor ahead, and from the shadows of a side chamber, a squad of elite mages emerged. Robed in silver silk embroidered with ancient runes, their hands weaving spells that crackled with emerald lightning. Six of them, eyes glowing with elven fury.

"Intruder! For the Queen!" their leader bellowed, unleashing a barrage of arcane bolts.

ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!

The bolts streaked toward me, sizzling with enough power to vaporize a dragon.

I didn't even slow my stride.

The energy washed over me like a warm breeze, absorbed into my armor, fueling the crimson glow of my ribbons.

Vespera, however, had other plans.

"Wind dance!" she chanted, flicking her wrists.

A vortex of razor-sharp wind erupted around the mages, ripping their spells apart and scattering them like leaves.

"You dark elf, why?!" the leader stammered, a look of disbelief on his face. "What are you doing?! Helping the enemy?!"

Ves responded by throwing two wind blades at him, one after the other. He blocked the first with a hastily erected shield, but the second sliced through it and cut deep into his shoulder.

"I am not helping the enemy," Ves said, her tone cold as ice. "I am cleaning up the trash."

She then dashed forward, her movements a blur, her daggers a whirlwind of death.

In less than a minute, it was over.

All six mages lay dead, their bodies torn apart by wind and steel.

"Impressive," I admitted, genuinely impressed. "You're stronger than I thought."

"Shut up," she snapped, wiping blood off her daggers on a dead mage's robes. "Let's just get this over with."

"Hehe... You're not having fun?" I teased, stepping over the bodies. "Don't worry, big sis Morgana will take care of you later."

"..."

She didn't reply, but her cheeks turned a darker shade of crimson.

We reached a large, circular chamber. The walls were lined with ancient tapestries depicting scenes of elven history. In the center of the room, there was a large, ornate door, made of what looked like solid moonlight, its surface shimmering with an otherworldly glow.

"This is the entrance to the royal sanctum," Vespera said, her voice low. "Only the Queen and the High Council can open it."

"Is that so?" I replied, a sly grin spreading across my face. "I think I'll make an exception."

I walked to the door.

"Stop! You can't just—" Vespera started, but I cut her off.

BAAAM!

I simply kicked it.

The door didn't just open, it shattered, exploding into a million shards of light.

Vespera stared, her jaw on the floor.

"I... you..." she stammered, her mind struggling to process what just happened. "The... the wards... the ancient enchantments..."

"Wards? Enchantments?" I chuckled, stepping through the now-empty doorway. "Heh... A virgin's hymen is harder to break."

"..."

Vespera didn't know how to respond to that. Her mind just went blank, and her face turned a shade of red that would make a tomato jealous.

I entered the sanctum.

It was a large, circular room, its ceiling a dome of enchanted crystal that showed the crimson moon in all its terrifying glory. In the center of the room, on a raised platform, was a large, ornate throne.

And on that throne sat the demon god.

In Sylvana's body.

He was holding the world tree staff, its gnarled wood glowing with a faint, green light. He looked terrified, his emerald eyes wide with fear, his body trembling.

Behind the throne was a huge ten-meter-tall crystal, humming with immense power. The power source.

And behind the crystal were three cages, the same ones that held white stag, unicorn, and hippogriff.

The demon god must have brought them here for round two.

"You... you... " You broke the door," the demon god stammered, his voice a high-pitched squeak. "That's... that's impossible."

"I do the impossible every day before breakfast," I replied, my smile widening. "Now, why are you sitting on my friend's throne?"

"Y-your friend?" the demon god blinked in confusion. "You and the queen... friends?"

"Yeah," I nodded, my tone casual. "We fucked... so we are friends."

"..."

The demon god's brain seemed to short-circuit. He couldn't comprehend it. The terror he felt, the casualness of my tone, the sheer absurdity of the situation—it was too much.

"W-what do you want?" he finally managed to ask, his voice trembling.

"I want answers," I said, my tone shifting from playful to serious. "First, who are you? And second, what do you know about me?"

"I... " he hesitated, his eyes darting towards the crystal behind him. He was planning something. "I am... I am a nameless god. A wanderer. I know nothing of you."

"Hehe... lying to me?" I chuckled, shaking my head. "Not a smart move."

I took a step forward.

"STAY BACK!" the demon god roared, raising the world tree staff.

A wave of green energy erupted from the staff, washing over me.

"..." I just stood there, my arms crossed, my expression bored.

However, I underestimated the power of a staff that came from the world tree itself.

The energy washed over me, and for a split second, I felt something—a tiny, insignificant prick of energy that managed to pierce through my living armor.

Crack!

My armor had a tiny crack on it.

"Eh?" Both the demon god and I were surprised. Vespera's jaw was on the floor.

"H-How?!" the demon god stammered, a flicker of hope in his eyes.

"Impressive," I admitted, my curiosity piqued. "That's the first thing in a long, long time that's managed to scratch me."

But then my smile widened, a predatory glint in my crimson eyes.

Why?

Well, because I sensed hope mixed with fear in the demon god.

Hope is a dangerous thing.

It makes people do stupid things.

It makes them overestimate their strength.

It makes them forget their place.

And this demon god? He was full of hope right now.

So...

Whoosh! Whoosh!

He dared to cast more spells at me, the world tree staff glowing brightly as it unleashed a barrage of glowing green projectiles.

"You're not the Fear I remember! You're weak!" he declared, a desperate, insane glint in his eyes. "The Fear I knew would have turned me to dust with a single glare! You're just a shadow!"

I had to admit he was right. The old me would have turned him to dust with a single glare. Killing always came first.

But the new me is horny as fuck, my goal is to breed, my cock is hungry, my pussy is wet, my womb is empty. So killing is not my priority anymore.

Still, I have my pride.

"You shouldn't have done that," I said, my voice dropping to a low, dangerous purr.

However, just as I was about to make a move, I saw the demon god dash toward the three cages.

"With their hearts, I can use the staff at its full power!" he cackled, his sanity clearly gone. "I'll kill you! I'll bathe in your blood!"

He raised the staff, and using magic, he ripped the hearts out of the three beasts. Their bodies fell lifelessly to the ground. He then opened his mouth and swallowed the three hearts whole.

"Tsk... Bad move." I shook my head in disappointment.

He was desperate. He had no idea what he had just done.

FUSSHH!

A pillar of green light erupted from the staff, shooting straight up to the ceiling. The entire room shook, the crystal walls humming with an unbearable energy.

"Hehe... YES! THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE POWER OF THE WORLD TREE!" he roared, Sylvana's body swelling, the dark-red skin from the demonic transformation returning, now pulsating with a raw, untamed power.

He was getting stronger, a lot stronger, but also more unstable.

He turned to me, his eyes burning with a mix of madness and terror.

"DIE!"

He slammed the staff on the ground, but instead of a beam of energy—

Pfftt!

Blood burst from his mouth.

"Eh?..." He looked at his trembling hands, black veins spreading across Sylvana's arms like a disease. "W-what... is happening... to me...?"

"Hehe..." I chuckled, shaking my head. "Fool."

He didn't understand, only staring at me in confusion, but when I raised a finger pointing to his right, he finally got it.

"YOU!!!"

The three cages.

The three beasts... one of them was fake.

The white stag was, in fact, the blond, arrogant elf leader that Ves and I met when we left the forest of purity. After capturing him, I asked my undead daughter Lament to use her skill as Flesh Doctor to transform his form into that of a beast. Then I used the white fur that I took from Snowball to cover him using my transformation skill.

The result?

A perfect fake white stag that not even a god could tell the difference.

So when the demon god ripped out the hearts... one of them was a poisoned elven heart, not the pure one of the stag.

"You... you... TRICKED ME!" he roared, spitting another mouthful of black blood.

"I simply provided the tools," I replied with a shrug, my smile widening. "You're the one who decided to swallow them whole. A rather gluttonous choice, don't you think?"

"AHHHHH!" he screamed in rage and pain, the raw, chaotic power of the world tree clashing with the elven poison and the demonic essence within him.

He was a ticking bomb.

And the timer was running out.

"It's over," I said, taking a step forward. A blood sword materialized in my hand, its form shifting and writhing as if alive. "Time to die."
