Chapter 514: My Touch
"Ahh~... what a rush!"
The euphoria of the bloody performance, the sheer ecstasy of creation, the thrill of the applause. I basked in the silent aftermath, my very soul humming with satisfaction.
Memories of my old self kept flooding my mind, a symphony of nostalgia that made my heart ache with a longing I hadn't felt in ages.
"How I missed this feeling," she whispered, her voice softer now, almost reverent. "To be… this again."
Not a queen.
Not a mother.
Not just a goddess.
An artist.
In the past, I used to 'perform' on stages grander than this on many worlds. Some worlds I drowned their cities in a sea of tears, others I painted their skies with the screams of their dying mortals. Each world was a canvas, each life a brushstroke.
Those memories were kept hidden, locked away deep inside my soul, away from this new, naive body.
But now...
Now they were back.
And I was hungry.
I wanted more.
I wanted to create. I wanted to destroy. I wanted to paint this world in colors it had never seen before.
Colors of agony. Colors of ecstasy. Colors of despair.
Colors of Me.
"I should thank that demon god," I said to myself, a sly grin spreading across my face. "He reminded me of who I truly am. An artist."
An artist who had forgotten her passion.
"Hehehe... I'll reward him with a front-row seat to my next performance," I decided.
Step by step, I walked towards the grand entrance of the palace, my crimson ribbons of ethereal energy trailing behind me like the train of a magnificent, blood-soaked wedding gown.
On the slow walk towards the palace doors, I kept admiring my art.
Crystallized demons, their final expressions of agony frozen forever. Elves, sleeping peacefully, their faces serene, untroubled by the chaos that had just engulfed their city. The perfect audience.
"Such beauty," I whispered, my fingers gently caressing the cheek of a sleeping elven maiden. "You will make a fine addition to my collection."
However, I did not linger for long. I had a god to catch.
So far, everyone in the capital was either a sleeping beauty or a crystallized demon. The only ones left awake were the people in the palace.
This is my mercy.
I will spare the innocent. I didn't even touch the children or the elderly; they were sleeping in their beds, dreaming of sweet nothings. This blood rain had an 'intent' in it, a specific element that only activates when it touches the 'corrupted' and 'combatants'.
For the innocent, just the air itself was enough to make them fall asleep peacefully.
"Ah, the palace." I stopped in front of the massive, gilded doors. They were intricately carved with scenes of elven history, their golden surfaces gleaming under the crimson moon.
The doors were sealed shut, protected by powerful wards—a barrier of shimmering golden light that pulsed with ancient magic.
"Let's see..." I placed a hand on the ward.
For a moment, nothing happened.
The golden light pulsed, trying to repel me, to push me back. The ancient elven mages who created these wards were powerful; their magic was potent.
But they were mortal.
And I was not.
I simply pushed.
Crack!
The ward shattered like a pane of glass, the golden light dissolving into a shower of harmless sparks.
"Hehe... so fragile," I chuckled, pushing the heavy doors open.
Whoosh!
The moment I stepped in, the hallway was filled with magical arrows. Hundreds of them. All aimed at me.
"Fire!" a captain roared, his face a mask of grim determination.
The arrows flew, a storm of steel and magic, a desperate attempt to stop me.
How foolish.
I didn't even bother to dodge. Hell, my mind didn't even bother to process it as a threat.
I simply walked through them.
The arrows passed through my body like ghosts, their magic harmlessly dissipating into nothingness.
"W-what?!" the captain stammered, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"What are you waiting for?! CHARGE!" he roared, drawing his sword.
The elven guards charged, their war cries echoing through the grand hall. They were brave. They were loyal.
They were ants to be crushed under my boot.
First step.
Rumble!
The entire palace shook, the guards lost their balance, their charge faltering.
Second step.
Rumble!
The golden runes on the walls flickered and died, the very air growing heavy with an oppressive weight.
Third step.
RUMBLE!
A crushing weight descended upon the hallway, an invisible force that pinned the guards to the floor, their armor groaning under the pressure. They struggled, they strained, but it was useless. They were trapped.
Fourth step.
SQUELCH! SPLAT!
Blood. So much blood.
Their end was like a rotten fruit being squashed under a heavy boot. A wet, messy, and utterly satisfying sound. Their armor offered no protection, their bravery no salvation.
"Pathetic," I clicked my tongue, stepping over the remains, my boots sinking into the crimson puddle.
'Not even a single scream.'
Just then.
Whoosh!
A sharp, whistling sound cut through the air.
A dagger, spinning like a silver coin, flew towards my face.
I tilted my head slightly.
The dagger missed, embedding itself in the wall behind me with a solid THUD.
"Impressive," I admitted, a genuine spark of interest in my eyes. "You managed to resist my pressure."
I looked up.
There, clinging to the ceiling like a spider, was a lovely dark elf with silver hair, her body clad in tight, black leather armor that hugged her curves in all the right places. Her purple eyes were narrowed, a mixture of fear and defiance burning in their depths.
"Who might you be?" I asked, my curiosity piqued. "You're no mere guard."
[...]
'Not a word, Herma. I'm barely holding my laugh.'
The dark elf was, of course, Vespera, whom I decided to tease a little since she couldn't recognize me due to the helmet.
"My name is not for your ears, monster!" she snarled, leaping from the ceiling, a pair of wickedly curved daggers appearing in her hands.
"Hehe... feisty," I chuckled, my smile widening. "I like that."
She lunged, her movements a blur of black leather and silver steel. She was fast. Agile. Skilled.
I simply stood there, my arms crossed over my chest, a bored expression on my face.
CLANG! CLANG!
Her daggers struck my chest, the impact sending a shower of sparks. They should have cleaved through armor, should have torn through flesh.
They didn't. They just bounced off, leaving not a single scratch on my black living armor.
"What?!" Vespera gasped, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Your turn is over," I said, my voice cold and devoid of any emotion.
Boing!!
"Eh?" She blinked and found me inches away from her face, both my hands gently squeezing her breasts.
"So soft," I purred, my fingers sinking into her supple flesh. "And you have amazing nipples."
"You... you...!" she stammered, her face turning a deep shade of crimson, her body trembling with a mixture of rage and... something else.
"Now, now... no need to be shy." I leaned in closer, my lips almost brushing against her ear. "We are going to have a lot of fun together."
"Let... go... You freak!" she hissed, kicking me hard in the belly, but all it did was send her a few feet away.
"Ara~ Ara~... playing hard to get, I see," I giggled. "Fine with me. I like a good chase."
"S-Shut up!" she whipped out two new daggers and dashed to the right. Her speed was impressive. Wind magic, I presumed.
Ves kept dashing left and right, her movements a blur, her daggers a whirlwind of steel. She was trying to find an opening, a weakness in my armor. She was good. Very good.
Too bad she was fighting me.
Whoosh!
She dashed from behind, both her daggers aimed at my neck.
I simply side-stepped.
"Too slow," I said, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her close.
"Ara~ ara~... You smell nice," I purred, my nose nuzzling her neck. "Like lavender and... sweat."
"Let me go!" She broke free—at least she thought she did—but in reality, I let her go.
"Hehe... I'm starting to like you," I admitted, my crimson eyes gleaming with amusement.
She didn't respond.
Instead, she stomped her foot on the ground, a dark magic circle appearing beneath her.
"Shadow bind!" she chanted, chains of dark energy erupting from the circle, shooting towards me.
"..."
The chains wrapped around my body, their energy cold and heavy. It was a binding spell, a powerful one.
"Hmph... got you," she smirked, then dashed toward me with a new dagger with a glowing tip.
Whoosh!
Again, she aimed at me, this time at my heart.
And yet again, I side-stepped.
"Eh?" she blinked in confusion, but that confusion didn't last because—
SLAP!
"Hiii!"
My palm found her big, round ass, the impact echoing through the silent hall.
"Such a nice ass," I purred, my fingers lingering on the stinging flesh. "I'm going to enjoy savoring it."
"..."
Instead of getting angry like I expected, she looked at me with a confused expression.
Her body trembled for a bit, her eyes glowed purple for a second, then she went silent.
She lowered her daggers and shot me a death glare.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" I teased, squeezing the big, fat, meaty ass again.
"Morgana…?"
'Ah... She recognized me. Took her long enough.'
"Yep?" I replied with a playful tone, my hands still on her ass. "How?"
"..."
"Your touch... no one else touches my ass like this."
Aaah! Yeah, I spanked her ass plenty of times.
"Hehe~... true," I chuckled. "You have a good memory."
"What are you doing?" she asked, her voice a mix of anger, confusion, and... something else.
"Just having a little fun." I shrugged, finally letting go of her perfect ass. "I was getting bored, and you were the only one putting up a decent fight."
"Fun?" she snapped, her purple eyes flashing. "You call this FUN?! Turning the moon red, raining blood, and... and this!"
She gestured at the carnage around us—the splattered remains of the guards, the shattered wards, the oppressive silence.
"What did you expect me to do?" I countered, my smirk unwavering. "They attacked me. I simply... responded."
"Responded? You massacred them!"
"I showed them mercy," I corrected her, then turned, walking forward. "Now I have a queen to fuck and a god to kill. Come with me if you want."
