Chapter 819 – Yue is feeling better

After a few days, Yue finally woke up. It has been a long time since she could sleep so peacefully, but...

'I can't believe I encountered one of the calamities and lived again...' Yue shook her head, laughing to herself.

She sat down on the edge of the bed, watching what was under her.

Seeing nothing, she placed her feet on the floor and she could still feel nothing. Well, she did feel the floor, but she couldn't feel 'that'.

Yue smiled gently as she stood up. Her clothes were... old, these clothes were closer to a nightgown, and it's also the thing that she died in, so she was a bit attached to it.

"Let's go further this time..." Her face was blurred, her body was blurred, it seems like this was not just her concealment working, but her Soul was still a mess. 'This place puts me at ease.' It was kind of a strange feeling, but not a feeling that she inherently disliked.

Walking down the stairs, she arrived in the living room down below. The 'slime' was plastered there and Aiko was sitting in the living room with her knees close to her chest.

Her small head turned around. "You are awake." She smiled gently.

'I never imagined that Aiko's true Soul is not a Fox.' This greatly startled Yue, but since there were too many unfamiliar things happening at one time, it was hard to notice it.

Her eyes also seemed strange, like they were kindling, slowly dying out, but at the same time waiting to be lit up.

"What's wrong?" Aiko titled her head. "If you don't want to, I can just drag it outside." She was talking about her slime, which Yue appreciated, but that was not what she was thinking about.

"Wanna go shopping?" Yue smiled gently.

"Not before you eat, you have been sleeping for a while." Aiko shook her head. She wouldn't allow her to go outside without anything inside her stomach.

Sure, you didn't need to eat in here, but that didn't mean you should let go of habits that make you human.

"Sure." Yue stepped down, steeling her nerves before stepping on the same thing that wiped nations and Sects.

The feeling was... cool, maybe a bit chilling, but that might be because of her prejudice working against her.

"What's for food?" Yue asked Aiko as she slowly walked towards the couch.

"I don't know, just think of something and it will be delivered." Aiko shrugged. She had some unknown fruits and pastries, but they were so delicious that she was considering gathering information about them and not just eating them.

"Oh, right." Yue smacked her lips. She was not used to living in this place, but she would have to adapt quickly, otherwise Aiko might get worried. "How are you doing?"

"I have rested, thinking about what we should do next." Aiko nodded her head. One lure would cost her only one Soul Point, if she got like 10,000 of them, it should be enough to lure all those goblins into one place.

"Right, this place probably has its own rules." No matter how bizarre this place was, it would still have some rules to keep it in check and working.

"En." Aiko nodded her head, letting Yue sit next to her.

"You know that when you are this small, you are quite cute." Yue giggled at Aiko who suddenly started sulking.

"Start eating or no shopping." Aiko pouted her lips. It felt like she was changing the more time she spent inside here, but that must've been her imagination.

"Sure~" Yue hummed, nibbling on some fruit pastries while glancing around.

"This place is very unique." Yue never saw such buildings, but she also didn't travel all that much, so it's possible that she just missed them.

"I know, everything feels so foreign and familiar at the same time." Aiko nodded her head.

"Did anyone say that you have pretty eyes?" Yue was startled when Aiko met her eyes and she couldn't help but utter those words.

"I still won't forgive you for bullying me." Aiko snorted unhappily, but when you looked closely, she seemed very happy about this compliment.

Her eyes were serenely blue and gently caressing the mind of those around her.

"Yes, yes." Yue giggled, eating more pastries.

"Are they good?" Aiko tilted her head.

"Delicious." Yue gave her thumbs up before continuing eating for a while...

...

"I never expected you to eat so much." Aiko felt a little flabbergasted.

"Ghosts have... unique ways of feeding, but mostly we either can't eat or digest the food, or it's balanced around human consumption, which means it has too much Yang." Yue shook her head as her belly was slightly swollen. However, that swelling didn't last long as there was no concept of digestion.

"You know that others would kill for being able to eat and digest so quickly, right?" Yue glanced at Aiko who was not interested in this situation.

"Yeah, but it's not like they can come over, and I don't know if I would want them over." Aiko shrugged. If they wanted to eat, they had to move. This place allowed you to eat without the need of moving, which was a blessing and a curse.

"Fair." Yue stretched her juicy body, making Aiko glare at her.

"They will grow." Yue coughed awkwardly.

"Who said I want them to grow?!" Aiko stomped her feet angrily. She had this perfect ratio of bust vs hips and body, which was pretty much what Moon Aiko had, but in this place everything was all over the place.

"Okay, okay. Don't be mad." Yue tried to soothe Aiko, but stepping on the floor was a bit...

"Let's just go shopping." However, Aiko wouldn't ask her about that as she grabbed her hand and dragged her away.

Yue couldn't even protest before she was outside Aiko's house and walking towards the shops.

"We need some comfortable wear for you and nightwear too." Aiko nodded her head seriously. There was a lot to buy, but fortunately, most things would be for free.

'I will look at my new set later.' Aiko nodded her head since she planned to purchase it once Yue was finished.

"These shops are so unique..." Yue didn't know where to look first, even the paving was something that she didn't expect, since those things were neatly stacked rocks instead of heavy slabs like most Cultivation Cities would have.

"Everything is very unique, so just keep walking." Aiko felt like she would spend days outside before Yue was satisfied.

"Can't we look around?" Yue tilted her head.

"I need to get out since I'm tired of this place." Aiko shrugged.

"But you weren't here for all that long..." Yue felt like there was something strange with this.

"How long was I here?" Aiko wondered if Yue would be able to tell her.

"About a few seconds?" Yue tilted her head.

'They did say the time was different, but this too different...' Aiko scratched her head awkwardly. This place was a lot more powerful than she expected!

'Wait, couldn't I just train everything in here and thus bypass years of work?' Aiko smirked. Well, she would still have to work for years here, but since outside it wouldn't have any impact on the time, it was the perfect ability to have right now.

"Gosh..." Aiko sighed. "It's been so long here."

"Really?" Yue gulped nervously. No wonder this place would be able to contain 'that', everything now made sense!

"Anyway. It's better for you to get used to that time difference, it would be bad if you spent centuries here, bored." Aiko warned her.

"Ah, I can still return to the Treasure, so you don't have to worry." Yue smiled at her.

"Oh, that works." Aiko was happy about that. "But what about the others?"

"Their Souls are a lot more stable, so their Souls are too big for this place. My Soul is a mess, so I can fit in here snugly." Yue explained the situation, since Aiko did save her life and Soul.

"Hmmm..." Aiko didn't expect that Souls size would depend on how well organised they were. 'Well, that's fine.' She didn't mind since it meant that Yue should be able to recover through Soul Points.

"This 'casual wear' shop." Aiko went to the mild shop before exposing Yue to the smutty stuff.

"Oh?" Yue stepped inside, and the clothes were vastly different to what she was used to, but it was also true that the quality was just as good.

However, looking around a bit more, she was even able to find clothes that she was used to!

"The side slit is a bit troubling, but I think I will go with this one." Yue nodded her head.

"So quickly?" Aiko thought that Yue would take more time picking something nice for herself.

"Well, it doesn't seem like I can take anything out of this place, so there is no reason to pick for a long time." Yue shrugged like she didn't mind.

"But we can trace the outfit and make it outside." Aiko narrowed her eyes.

"That's... fair, but I don't think I would want to spend so much time on just an outfit when it would change as my Soul got more and more organised." Yue still shook her head, since there was no reason to overdo it.

She picked a light-blue free-flowing high-waisted Ruqun, with dark blue belt with light-green ornaments and decoration.

The rims had silver lining, making it gorgeous.

"You know that you look like you are from some kind of horror..." Aiko couldn't help but to comment, since the prettiness of the dress was disturbed by her lack of face.

"I know. It should improve over time as my Soul gets more organised, but I think I would be kicked out right now if I did that." Yue knew her situation, but it was not like she could act on it right now.

"... Fine, maybe I will try a few more outfits." Yue couldn't help herself. She liked to dress up when she was a ruler and that craving didn't diminish even after such a long time.

'No, it's even strange that I still have this craving.' It felt weird, because the time she spent as a Ghost was much longer than when she was alive, but she still clearly held the same emotions as before.

"Good." Aiko smiled at her. It was good to shop when something was on your mind. It could not only distract you, but it could also help you resolve your things.

In this case, Aiko wanted to use this as a distraction, so that Yue wouldn't mind her current body.

"Is... 'that' always hanging around you?" Yue still couldn't get behind a calamity following them so willingly and listening to Aiko's orders.

"En. This little guy is great at collecting things, so I don't mind if it's a bit clingy." There was nothing to show for, since she was probably a B- cup right now.

"You are probably the only person who would say that." Yue just pinched her nose-bridge and gave up thinking about it...
