Chapter 554 – Seeds of Disaster
Witch Aiko and the Blood Fox slept peacefully, all thanks to Aiko, who made an illusion around this place.
Witch Aiko was now trying all kinds of illusions so they could freely walk around. It would be very beneficial when robbing the capital.
This also allowed her to notice a few things.
The more real the illusion, the easier it was to see through, as everyone would notice the minute discrepancies.
Thus, she had to do semi-realistic illusions, and then the Beasts didn't question it as much.
Sure, they would go: "Is this supposed to be like this?", but that was about it.
Shaking her head gently, they moved on.
...
The Capital city was quite bustling, but Aiko didn't dilly-dally and immediately spread the beads.
The ruler's decision affected the whole nation. At first, Aiko didn't understand what that meant clearly, but now she could understand.
Sure, there were also some heinous Cultivators, but she at least had justifiable reasons.
The oppression of Foxes was long overdue, and then they would feel the terror of Beasts that they abused.
The rain of blood and terror will seep into everyone's bones, and Aiko will use the rivers of blood as material for Blood Fox's Evolution.
"Of course, I will first purify that blood." Aiko nodded her head. She noticed that the [Primordial Holy Blood Essence Marble] also liked blood and would extract only the precious nutrients, leaving the grudges and impurities behind.
This would be used to purify the rivers of blood, leaving ruined rivers that the humans would have to clean, and then that bead would be used as a staple material for the Blood Fox.
The Blood Fox observed Aiko closely. She never saw her so calm, yet livid at the same time.
She was guilty since she felt that it was her fault that Aiko turned out like this, but at the same time, she was exceptionally happy.
First, thanks to that Contract, she knew more about Aiko, but she could also extract information from the voices inside her mind. Those voices were absolutely horrified, which allowed the Blood Fox to get all the information she wanted.
'Devil.' The Blood Fox licked her lips. She would become that in order to rule over a large Realm, allowing Aiko to have a hiding spot if shit hit the fan.
Of course, she would reshape that Divine Realm and make it into a more habitable place and that would be thanks to the Demonic Foxes that Mei collected.
Combining all those things together, this was the perfect recipe to conquer that Divine Realm!
...
The Capital City was covered, and Aiko felt a bit stupid.
She looked at the pile of Treasures she could easily obtain even without the chaos, but this also meant that she weakened the humans, making them more susceptible to the stampede.
Most things were useless to her, but were precious to humans. They would definitely vomit blood if they saw Aiko burning it in front of their eyes!
That was another plan in her revenge, but there were 3 more Empires to go, while only 2 would be covered. The third one was mostly innocent, so Aiko wouldn't spread her scent over it, but they would still be hit by the corner of the stampede, making it a suitable punishment.
'They should've known better.' Witch Aiko chuckled. The humans got too comfortable in their savagery, and now they would pay for it, but that was not all.
The Righteous Sects would have to step in! Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to collect more victims for their shitty Cultivation Path.
Of course, she would want to limit the damage to the Southern Sect, but she also didn't have to.
For some reason, the third capital was on the Southern side of the island, which meant that they would be hit the least.
Sure, they would have to send Disciples to help others, but they wouldn't need to send as many since they don't have a reason or justification, since they still had to defend their border.
Witch Aiko nodded her head and happily looted the rest of the capitals.
...
The beads were spread both inside and outside of the capitals. Aiko noticed that the Blood Fox was quite tired, so they went into an inn to test it out.
This would be the last day before reckoning, as the winds would carry her scent far and wide, making many, many Beasts feral.
Of course, she would sit in the capital where it all started when the Princess died.
...
The Inn looked quite homely as it was one of the smaller inns. Not many Cultivators approached this place, since it was too far from their 'attractions'.
"One room, please." Witch Aiko assumed the form of a Young Cultivation girl and handed over a Black Gold Coin.
Witch Aiko already had many of them, so there was no need to be stingy.
"This-" The innkeeper was flustered. He didn't know what to do with such a huge sum.
"Don't mind it, don't mind it." Moon Aiko had many of these coins since they became the continent's standard. She had over 600k of them, from robbing the capitals.
Would she ever use them? No, but now the capital cities couldn't use them either.
"Please." The innkeeper was grateful, so he guided them to the top suite.
"Thank you." Witch Aiko played the part and closed the door. She then breathed out.
"The smell of blood was on him. No wonder nobody approaches this place." Witch Aiko shook her head. It seems they won't be able to rest much tonight- heh, as if.
Witch Aiko would leave her tails in the [Little #### Nightmare] form, which would then defend them so that she could have peaceful sleep.
They didn't need to be low-key with their slaughter, since all hell would break loose tomorrow.
Witch Aiko tapped the bed. "Come, come." She would inspect the Blood Fox and prepare her for the Evolution.
The Blood Fox was more than happy to oblige. She wondered if Aiko was more used to intimacy, but since she was still bound, she couldn't initiate it yet.
Gently touching the Blood Fox, Aiko noticed that she was quite rough.
'Many impurities.' Witch Aiko nodded. It would take some time to clean her up, but it will be worth it.
With fewer impurities would come a lot of power, which would allow the Blood Fox to resist the contract better.
Witch Aiko already removed the clause that limited the evolution, but the rest would have to be done.
The Blood Fox nuzzled into Aiko from those gentle touches.
"Alright, alright, let's go to sleep." Witch Aiko pinched her gently before moving themselves to the bed.
The Blood Fox was slightly upset that Aiko didn't take advantage of her, but she was also happy.
...
During the night, they were visited by the hospitality of this inn. Naturally, the [Little #### Nightmare] had a nice snack, and the duo was not disturbed.
The [Little #### Nightmare] exchanged glances. This kind of Princess was more in line with what they were used to, and they were more than happy to oblige with her plans.
Even if Aiko told them to destroy the Mortal World, they would do it. It's their Princess, after all.
...
Morning came, and Witch Aiko woke up to the Blood Fox rubbing her face into Aiko's bosom.
Witch Aiko didn't mind as long as she felt alright, but she did jump when the Blood Fox touched her inner thigh.
With an awkward cough, Aiko adjusted her black and red dress, and the Blood Fox did the same.
There were still 20 days till the system would finish its thing, so Aiko still had to wait.
But the day of reckoning would come today. The sooner, the better, not allowing humans to prepare themselves.
Witch Aiko walked through the hall littered with corpses.
The Blood Fox tried to take some of that blood, but-
"No, bad! Filthy blood, don't even try it!" She was immediately scolded by Aiko.
The Blood Fox felt warm all over and listened to her. Not because the Contract was activated, but because she wanted to fulfil Aiko's wishes.
Witch Aiko nodded happily. "I have something much better for you, so ditch that filthy blood later."
Aiko would have to use 200 million Vitality on it, but it was all worth it.
...
Witch Aiko and the Blood Fox walked throughout the capital. There was no need for more words or actions. The beads were spread out without a thought, but there were so many of them that calamity was inevitable.
Walking through the main gates towards the palace, Witch Aiko shattered Array after Array without a care in the world.
She would announce her presence openly, since...
"It's not like they can pay attention to me." Witch Aiko chuckled evilly.
Walking through the overly lavish palace when the people outside suffered, she arrived at the grand hall, where many Sects were present.
"Oh me~" Witch Aiko called out, attracting the attention of everyone.
"I didn't expect you to be gathered in one place, this will be fun~" Witch Aiko hummed, but the sense of dread filled the whole hall. Especially when they glanced at her tails that seemed 'alive'.
"Who are you?" The Northern Sect Leader feigned ignorance.
"You don't have to pay attention to me." Witch Aiko used her Divine Sense to throw away the Royal Family from their seats, and then she sat down in their place.
This arrogant demeanour angered everyone, but everyone also felt something was amiss.
A Fox would not willingly walk into a major city unless she had some kind of trump card.
"Alright~" Witch Aiko clapped her hands happily.
"Today we will play a very nice game~" Witch Aiko hummed. "Ah, but don't worry." She gazed at the Southern Sect Leader. "While you are unfortunately also part of the game, I have turned the difficulty to extremely easy." She smiled happily. She still had nice memories about the Southern Sect, so she would naturally not make things difficult for them.
"As for the others..." Witch Aiko chuckled evilly. "Let's just hope everyone is as skilled as they brag about~" She hummed happily and wondered which Sect would do its best.
The least concerned was the Southern Sect. The Western Sect had Dragons as pets, so they were likewise not concerned, but the Eastern and Northern Sects were quite anxious. The Fox was too haughty for this to be a simple thing, so they were wondering what kind of disaster might befall them...
