"I just don't want to get dirt thrown at my eyes during a friendly duel" I smiled at her although I'm sure it looked much less friendly from another's perspective.
"You spar to win don't you?" The duchess smiled as she twisted her wrist staring at me as we matched strides.
"I can't beat you with a blade anymore like the old days so I have to use my advantages to win" She shrugged as if not putting my thought into my complaints.
"Remember what I told you" The duchess stopped walking staring at me with an almost predatory look in her eyes.
"Never let your guard down!" Her figure seemed to blur away into nothingness but I didn't panic stepping to the side and swinging down softly.
Bang!
The sound of the wood smacking together sounded out and the figure of the duchess appeared to my left. Her blade slid along my own loosing all its momentum and leaving her wide open, I didn't let the opportunity go and quickly swung the wooden sword upward toward her neck.
"Impressive as always" The duchess frowned but didn't seem to panic as the edge of the barley missed her delicate neck.
"Thank you" I replied stepping forward swinging to the side only to be met by The duchesses own attack.
My muscles flexed slightly from the force but I didn't back up and only continued forward swinging fast enough for the sound of air cutting to sound out. The duchess matched my swiftness meeting or parrying each of my attacks while occasionally launching her own. The morning sun rising higher and glaring down on us as we clashed repeatedly.

The duchess matched my swiftness meeting or parrying each of my attacks while occasionally launching her own. The morning sun rising higher and glaring down on us as we clashed repeatedly.
"Is something on your mind Xavier?" It wasn't until a couple minutes did the duchess break out unified silence with a casual tone despite the intensity of our sparring.
"Just...a lot on my mind" I spoke honestly sidestepping and countering with a quick thrust that she deflected with ease.
"You know you can always talk to me if something's bothering you" The duchess smiled softly although her attack was anything but as her sword aimed for my heart.
"I appreciate that" I parried her attack to the side and looked at her with a gaze that showed my appreciation.
I knew that the duchess would always be there if I needed something and that thought alone made my heart warm up. I hesitated with the thoughts that had been stuck in my mind threatening to spill out but in the end I held back not wanting to burden her with my troubles, instead I focused on the rhythm of our bout.
I attacked with renewed vigor pushing her on her back foot as the sparring turned into a fierce dance. Our movements were a blur of motion and precision with the yard seeming to fade away leaving just the two of us locked in this intense exchange.
Seconds passed turning into minutes however the duchess showed no signs of slowing. I couldn't help but praise her stamina as her milky skin glistened dripping with sweat. Her movements were a blend of strength and elegance with each strike calculated and precise. Despite the intensity there was a grace to her actions that was mesmerizing to watch.
"I think it's time to end this" The duchess panted slightly and I was momentarily distracted by the sight of sweat dripping down her abs.
'S~shit' It wasn't until the figure in front of me disappeared did I realize my mistake as I cursed in my head.
"Behind you" The duchesses voice sounded out from behind me but I didn't panic swinging my blade to the side where it stopped.
"My win" I smirked looking to my side and seeing the tip of the wooden sword softly pressing against the duchesses throat.
"So it seems" She smiled backing away while raising her hand and running it through her short silky hair.
"Well did it work?" The duchess asked suddenly making me confused as I pushed my one hair out of my face.
"Did what work?" I asked but she only smiled before walking toward me and raising her right hand.
"Is your mind clear?" Her finger pressed softly against my temple before she continued past me waving the same hand.
"I'm going to get cleaned up" I could only stare at her prominent buttocks that was snuggly wrapped by her leggings as she walked away.
I felt flabbergasted seeing her leave so gracefully but I couldn't help but shake my head with a soft laugh as I realized something
"Thank you!"
My mind was finally clear
