Chap 50: ship
"So ?" Polnale said, looking back expectedly at everyone else on deck, "we can't leave, not without getting on to their ship."
About half an hour ago, the cargo ship that they interact with was on their way toward their ship. At first everyone throught it must be a radio problem, they were getting closer to help them.
But that wasn't the case at all, that cargoship was aiming to hit straight at their ship. Luckily, Josane was able to steer the ship just in time to get it out of the way. Avoiding all damaged that could been done to the ship, but there was some cable that got mix with their ship when it passed through.
No harm came to the infrastructure of the ship, however it did make them unable to go as the cable from the cargo was somehow stuck to their ship.
Now, the stardust crusader have to get aboard that cargo ship to detach that cable for them to go on.
"Alright, we're splitting up. Me and Jojo will go to the captain deck. Polnale, you and Avadol will find the cable holder and cut them." Old Josane with her quick wit is able made a plan on the spot, turning to Kakoyrin and Takichi who's staying behind.
"And Kakoyrin, you stay here to protect the ship."
'What ?' Takichi crank his head up at her words, being offended about being being look down upon.
"Copy that, i'll make sure to keep an open eyes over here." She nodded in understanding before then moves her head to Takichi. "Sometimes it's the boring job that are the importain ones." She explained with a reasuring smile.
"Sorry monsieur, but this isn't a job for a man like you." Polnale said, flashing a smile full of bravado.
---------
The cargo ship looms large and industrial, with it's deck is a maze of steel beams, chains, and towering cranes, all eerily still.
Massive cargo holds gape open, revealing cavernous spaces that echo with the faint sound of waves lapping against the hull. The once-bustling areas are devoid of containers, leaving behind scuffed metal floors marked by years of heavy loads.
"You're thinking the same as me, aren't you. Josano." Josane ask, they've been checking the command deck to see if anyone is here, but there's not even a trace. "There's no one anywhere."
The steering wheel is left all by itself, no one is opperating the radio. This place where there's supose to be a place with the most activity is completely deserted.
"Yeah, this ship is empty. In such a big place how can there be no one ?"
Rust streaks the exterior, while salt-crusted railings and weather-worn paint add to the sense of abandonment. The ship creaks and groans as it rocks gently with the tide, the only movement in an otherwise lifeless setting.
*clunth*
"Wait, old hag. You hear that ?"
"What ?"
At her words, they went silent. listen attentively, for any sound.
*clunth*
Now, she has hear it as well. Foot step, heavy and not like a human. It came from behind a door not far from them.
Just as they were about to summon their stand, their feet were sunk to the very floor like quicksand.
"What the-!"
"OH NO!"
The door swung open, showing a figure wielding mutiple small daggers in one of their hand, throwning it at Josano.
*clang* *clang* *clang*
"ORA." Star plantium apear right behind Jojo and swatted the blades away.
After failing the attack, the figure charge up as star plantium punch broke the floor, released jojo and begin their fight without any words from either side.
More blades was thrown at star plantium backhands, their clashes creating sparks on each collision.
"ORA ORA ORA ORA"
Multiple massive spikes erupt from the floor and aim for jojo's head.
"ORA ORA ORA ORA" Unfazed by the attack, her stand punches bent the metal as she doesn't care and vaulted over them.
Throwning a punch from her stand, it connected to the figure sternum that sent them head first through the cabin wall.
Durring this, pipes began to morph around the room, like living tentacle aiming it at Josano back.
"Jojo, watch out!" Reaching out with her metal hand. Josane, Purple hermit shot out from her wrist and grab onto it.
She take advantage of the force and use it to pull herself out of the sinking floor while slaming the moving pipe to diffirent part of the room. Swinging herself away, she land on one of the computer table.
"Grab on, Jojo." She shouted, some vines wrap around Josano's hip, reuniting with Josane.
Retreating from the short engagement, They warily stare at the sudden attacker.
"The floor and wall move like a living being, despite not having any stand around." Old Josane mind is already making a quick evaluation of their sittuation, just from the short encounter. Combining with Josano wit, "yeah, this mean they have a long range stand that alow them to control things remotly or...."
""The stand is the ship."" Both of them are able to quickly draw the conclusions.
The figure stand up and dusted herself before confronting the jojo duo. Despite wearing a mask, Josano can see a smirk behind it.
"I suprise to see that you are fast in thinking what my friends stand ability is. Such is the might of my master enemy."
"Your master is Dio!"
"Yes, i am one of the great servant of Dio, you jojos will die under the hand of me. Anubis." The enemy stand user anounced before rushing in for another fight.
"Old hag, you go and try to find who's the seccond stand user while i go and deal with that one in front." The young jojo said, pointing at Anubis.
“Oh, so you’re just ordering me around now, huh?! I’m the one who taught you everything, Jojo! Show some respect!” the woman said in a indignant tone of voice, but she also feel a sense of calm. She doesn't need to look at reliable young jojo back, with it's shadow casting an imposing air as she walk forward, they going to find out how much that they done screwed themself.
