Chap 44: head director
Most of his days aren't so bad. If anything it's pretty boring.
Waking up every morning he have someone tending to his need. S.H.O.C.K.E.R don't just employ woman but male soldiers as well. Brainwashed male soldier but still.
It doesn't make much difference anyway since they're all wearing femboy clothing. Black frill dress, stocking and collar of the same color, he have to constantly tell them to back off on a daily orcurance.
His daily activity include training with close monitoring from the head doctor. Ending at late night, where he can do whatever he want........well, mostly whatever he want. And that does include, access to their giant computer, which he use to gather information.
He still can't tell which universe is this, going through their data base. The history of events that he read followed just how it would goes like in the show, with an fascist organization doing global terrorism under the guise that they are the "good guys" and are doing this for a "greater future".
Everything started since 1971 with one of the doctor working under S.H.O.C.K.E.R decided to go rogue and defected, bringing his son and one of the test subject along side him. The test subject, Batta augment 01.
Which is also known as Kamen rider Ichigo.
Who would then go and thwarted their plans everytime they can. Their feud has been going even till now, 1991. Over 20 years later and they are still fighting to stop them. Takune has tried to look for more information, but the internet hasn't really been born yet, all the things he could gather are from scouts of the organization and their log which was uploaded to the system mainframe.
So he was still in the dark, regarding his own place in their plans. With the only helpfull information is there are more than the original two rider.
-------------
"Turn off your konection defice, i'm goingkt to schcan you." The head doctor tells him, before putting him through what looked like a giant x-ray scanner.
The machine hum, red lights points through various parts in his body, it lasted a few minutes more until the light shut off.
"Tell me srtaight doctor, what illness do i have." He tried to tell a joke, even with out his emotion behind his eyes.
"Don't be silly, your body iss unable to kontract any sickness vhat so efer." She wrote something down and continue, "your Cyclone is malfuntioning."
"Malfuntion ?"
She went on the explain to him, his system has maxed operating at maximum capacity now facing failure now because it cannot pushed his body any longer. His augmetation progress is only at the begining stage, and Takune would go on for more opperations.
Hearing this news, he stare at her blankly, but if there could be an emotion behind those eyes, he knew it would be cut down again. A sense of fear and anger could rise up again but it would be useless. So that's all he can do now, looking at her with a blank stare.
*Sigh*
"So can i leave now ?"
"Yes, you may leafe. Undt ze director vant to see you, go see her first."
------------
"You want to see me ?"
"Yes, i do actually. How are you enjoying your home so far ?"
Facing the one in charge so early on caught Takune lacking, as he just don't know how to response to the situation.
The woman in front of him is tall and confident, but also wearing an aura of mystery around her as she gaze at him.
Standing inside of her oval office room, he was lead here with only an order from the head doctor so he was unaware of plan if there were any. For him.
"Pretty well, i think no common man can have what i have in life." It was an honest opinion from him, this is still the 90s where man is being looked down upon so obviously, a life of him able to have things like becoming a fighter or a high position in an organization is not what a normal man can have. He can eat whatever he want, do whatever he wants, except for going outside but that is to be expected.
By now, the two of them can be considered friend on some level. At the very least, the director see him as her friend.
They met after the first testing to see how well Takune is doing. His opinion on the director is summarize in one word it would be "happy", not because of her joyfull expresion. No, from his point of view, she is seeking to make everyone feel happy or to create a path that make one happy.
While some may call this a good thing, that is an wrong idea to live by. He can't say he argee, at first he belive it too, until he realized how wrong it can be.
A person can be happy in killing others, or someone that can only be happy by making others suffer. And that isn't happiness, not to him.
"Well, i am glad to hear that, but you don't seemed too happy ?" The woman tilt her head slightly, looking pained to see him in such a state.
"Why do you care ?" Returning her exprsion with his cold answer, if it were any other woman Takune was sure this act can be counted as disrespecting an higher up.
"Well..." standing up, she drop the coat covering her as she rise to full height and let him see her modified body.
Showing her modest chest and abdomen through a normal set of clothe, her body began to lose some of it's human appearance.
Gaining two antenna-like protrusion with a glowing dot at the end, a pair of wing spreading out of her sides, her feature now resembling more to a moth. With soft fur covering her expose body parts.
"Do you like it ?" She asked with a wide smile, twirlling around showing him off her new form.
"What is it ?"
"Augmention, just not the same as yours." She explained. "It's sad to hear you know ?" She turn to look at the painting hang in her wall. It was just an old man and the symbol of S.H.O.C.K.E.R
"Making augmented like you is not what i have wanted, no choice, no emotion, no....joy." she paused.
"But all must be for the goal of the great S.H.O.C.K.E.R, right ?" He responded.
"Yes, do you know who that person is ?" She question him.
Takune turn to look at the painting, his eyes flicker once before answering.
"The founder."
"Yes, he is our great founder of the organization. Too bad he is no longer with us."
"Someone killed him ?"
"suicide."
"Why ?"
"I...do not know. Unfortunately." Her gaze fell down. "But before his death come, he did gave us this place. And a goal."
"That is ?"
"To make everyone happy, or to be more precise to make path that could lead them to happiness."
"And what would that path be ?"
"It is actually simpler than you think. Human in general, are not happy creature by default." She paused to assessment his facial expression, "so what if we could make them happy all the time, every waking moment would be filled with joy. Wouldn't that be an ideal world to be in ?" A hand is placed on Takune shoulder, awaiting for an answer.
"Your concept of happiness revolves around world domination, control, and imposing your vision of order through power." He turn to look at her, " to achieve the ideal happiness would require you make the world where everything is under S.H.O.C.K.E.R command. Am i to be corrected"
"Yes."
