Chap 36: battle arena 2

Opening his eyes, there is no green flash coming from his eyes but something did happened on the woman back. A mark apeared, Death mask who was awaiting his attack was confused by the action coming from him.

'Wasn't he about to use his technique ?' She throught. A cold feeling of being stared at coming of her back.

But she seemed completely unaware of the mark behind her and what it did. Too focus on the person in front to notice the mark on her back, it has a shape of an eye is place right behind her back with only Takumi can see it.

Knowing this, Takumi only gave a wide smile behind his mask. Instead of his normal attack consuming his own curse energy to keep the enemy movement disabled, the maximum version is a mark that drain curse energy from who ever was marked to make themself being lock in place.

Starting with a slow walk to breaking out into a run, Takumi charge to his opponents. Her head was kept save bewteen both arm in defense, leaving abdominal area open for him to strike.

That set up was a trap, as she has enforced that place the most so when Takumi hit he won't deal much damaged to her and she will be free to counter him.

That plan will only work if her curse energy can keep that defense area up.

With his bat in hand, it glowing blue soon change to the same green as the curse energy he coated it in. Rushing to her, Takumi hit her right where she expected but not the expected results, the bat hit her with enough force that it even break the front to the back of her armor.

Sending shock of pain through her entire abdomen, suprised she stumble back ward still trying to defend herself. But found her body unresponsive, she try to hurry and activate herr curse technique only for her energy to lost even faster.

Unable to move or use her power, death mask is a sitting duck waiting for Takumi bat to swing down on her head, swiftly knocking her out.

A loud bell sounded the end of match.

Standing over her body, he watch two woman in medical uniform walk out carrying a stretcher with the announcer talking talking to the crowd.

Not the one to stay under the light, Takumi sillently make his exit as ruckus cheers of were coming from everyone jumping up from their seats.

------------

He din't even feel tired, the fight was rather easy for him. Was it because it was a spar ? Or since his opponent is weak ?

Looking back to it, he didn't feel the same way as when he were fighting for his life from the two Senjaku sent.

Too preoccupied with the fight in his mind, Takumi even forgot to account his upgraded technique and special gear into this.

"Well, at least i accomplish the goal. Maximum is affective for combat, but this will take more test. Maybe i could come here more often." Takumi keep on walking while murmuring to himself.

After this he planed on going home, but just before that he gone up to the library floor and share the lady of his succes.

"Not bad, girlie, not bad at all. Could use some practice but i guess that's good enough for a first time like you." Her word doesn't sound so encouraging but her expression tell him other wise. The whole time he was given a hard time learning things, but at least it's going better the more he learn more things

Like how he learn to spot a proud wide grin coming from someone trying to keep their tough exterior. That alone was good enough of a tell for Takumi to know how she feel.

"Still, a spar isn't like a real fight. If you going to use your technique in a real fight then you going to need more experience."

"Are you telling me to fight in the ring more ?"

"I ain't telling you to do anything. If you want something then you must strive to do it by yourself, not when someone tell you to."

Takumi nodded, as she said. He was in a fight for his life before. Even if his 'real' life wasn't in danger, that was a close call for him. When in a life or death he can't hesitate and he must strive to get stronger.

Right now his other self in other universe is also in much danger to get stronger as well. One is currently traveling to Egypt in order to fight a vampire, the other must find a way to stop an evil organization from world domination.

"Thanks you again ma'am."

"You know, you don't have to call me like that."

"What do you mean ?"

"Here." She handed him a token.

Taking it from her open palm and looking at it, he can see a emblem of sort. A crow holding a coin in it's talon.

"It's our family emblem, with it you have alot of privilege in the tower." She explained.

"Why do you give it out to me ?"

"So that you trust me, it's okay kid. I understand why you need to keep your face hidden. All of those not under the council control will need to hide. But they also don't mess with someone under a protection of a clan, my clan doesn't have the same lineage or power like the big three but at least we aren't a bunch of power hungry bitches."

Takumi just stood there, part of what she said is true. He really doesn't want to be found out by the higher up of jujutsu society, he is also curious to why she would give this to him.

And his gender too, all this time his identity was not revealed to anyone so doing so now, who know what would happened. If the worst do come to him, he gotten himself in some politics of a clan.

With a hand on his mask he was thinking about it, "wait." He paused.

"you don't need to show me right now, you can gave me the answer after you think this through."
