Chap 35: battle arena 1
Standing by the elevator door of floor 3, a woman with long blonde hair wearing fitted, white button-up shirt tucked into high-waisted black trousers with black leather shoes.
She is a servant, similar to the short femboy Takumi met the first time coming to the tower. Awaiting for a guess to arived.
Only...when the door open, she didn't see anyone at all. For a seccond she throught if there's a mistake, until a tap lightly touched her shoulder and made her jump.
"Hi, there." A voice from behind her said.
"Hello miss, how may be of help ?" She tried to keep her face straight as she said to Takumi who's in his disguise.
"I want a spot in the ring, are you open ?"
As hearring his request, the woman took out a small clip note by her side.
"Yes, we do have spots open for the battle ground, alow me to take you to the registration desk."
As it was fairly deep in the evening, people are gathering for the night event. No people came here at day time for the stadium is in need of cleaning and prep. So all the fight is in the night event.
At the the table he registered, Takumi just need to use his card and use a alias. Next to it is a display table for him to chose from.
"This is our category table, please chose the type of fight you want to go in."
Indeed, there were many to chose from. 1v1, 1v2, 2v2,....
Then is the game rule, spar only: which doesn't have any betting or reward since it's only a spar and the fight last until one give up, first blood: one round not stopping until one is unable to continue the fight, best of 3: Candidate that win most is consider the winner and lastly deathmatch: one winner, one dead.
Takumi obviously chose the 1v1, spar rule. He is not dumb to put his life on the line nor does he feel like killing. Takumi isn't big on reward either so nothing was lost to him. He's fought alot of curses and understand that a fight bewteen curse spirit and human are diffirent, that's why he also going to need some soccerer fighting experience as well for future fight.
When he is done, the lady take him to the waiting hall. When his name is called, which is pretty soon, he will enter the tunnle connected to the arena where his fight begin. It didn't take long before a large crowd fill the whole audience seats and a announcer step out to call the fight.
"Gents and ladies, for the appetizer of this lovely tonight we have a match for you....please welcome!!!!!" The Announcer begin to point in one direction.
"DEATH MASK!!!!!" The announcer voice boomed.
From one end of the arena, a woman with a black skull mask make an entrance to the audiences.
The woman has a bulky apearance with her chest hanging out showing her muscle mass to every one.
"And from the other conner, A NEW CHALLENGER HAS APEAR....WELCOMEEEEE!"
Takumi begin with his own entry, using his shadowmancer power.
"UCHIHA'S GHOSTTTTT!!!!!"
The whole tunnle was covered in ink black liquid, from there a figure shoot into the air. Doing double summersault mid air before landing in a superhero pose creating dust everywhere around his landing place.
Apearing from the dust, Takumi wearing his cloak and his mask. If one person have a keen eyes they can see he is wearing his new boots, their spirit like feather attach to the boots themself under the cloak and baseball bat glowing with a wavy blue energy in his hand.
After making a flashy entrance, the crowd is getting more into the fight. Even if this is just a open fight for the night.
Standing under the light, both him and death mask starring each other down for the match.
"So newbie, what's with the get up. It's a bit late to play trick or treat you know." Her smile is full of confidence as she literally look down on him.
'Man, is all buff woman this tall ?' He through, before thinking about how he should go about this fight.
Realizing that Takumi isn't going for a chat, she charged at him. A heavy swung from her left fist miss him by an inch as Takumi body vaulted over it and bringing his bat in her face.
Death mask blocked it with her free hand and swung again. Takumi disengage with her by doing a back flip, making distant bewteen them.
'This match is not gonna be smooth.' From her looks, she is mostly going to be a close range type technique. Which make her a terrible option for Takumi who want to use a long range type.
Changing to use his technique, Takumi eyes begin to glow a green hue, his curse energy flaring up with the same color.
Noticing the curse energy, Death mask did not hesitate to charge straight at him like a bull. With her fist winding up, there is no way Takumi can change to use his technique in time.
Right when her punch was release, she couldn't belive it when Takumi was able to dodge in time and move away. There was a slight breeze as he create space between two of them. She could've sworn that she saw a pair of wing on his feet.
Chasing him, she throw a barrage of punches but Takumi was able to evade all of it as well as returning some counter attack.
Sensing that this tactic doesn't work, Death mask change her stance and move both her arm up like a boxer, her body is deliberately revealing her own weakness but Takumi with his eyes can still see her remaining aggressive hiding behind her posture. Instead of chasing him, she's waiting for him to come to her.
Not only that, rock and sand all around began to form around her body to create a strong defensive armor. Revealing her technique to temp him in attacking.
'It's like that huh, fine.' He throught while the space between them are far apart. The hue in his eyes began to change.
Remembering his understanding on maximum, then moving curse energy to his eyes. It doesn't received the same large amount of curse energy as when he use lapse but enough for his technique to have changes happen to it.
