"Sensei, why are we riding on the train?" She heard about his car, apparently it was very expensive so he rarely showed it.
Truth be told, she just wants to have a conversation. It keeps her from being anxious around him.
"We're going somewhere with many curse spirit."
'That suck.' She thought, easily one of the things she wanted to avoid the most was to eat curses. Second only by being next to Gojo's loud talking mouth.
A wave of nausea hit her as they left lord Tengen's barrier. The curse energy of spirit when they're inside and outside is intensely different.
"Please don't tell me what we're doing isn't what I think." Her face grew uncomfortable.
"Yes, we're getting you to collect more curse spirits."
'Damn.' She hated it.
Ever since she first found out, she was disgusted by the method she had to go through if she wanted to 'collect' a curse spirit.
"Hey, it's gonna be fine, I'll be here to help you."
'Easy for you to say, I'm the one who has to swallow them.' She wanted to vomit, thinking about the taste alone was enough to make her guts squeal.
"According to me, you have to 'eat' the curses in order to tame them, yes?"
Geto nodded.
"Then, can you explain the process of collecting these curses?" He paused, "Or a downside to using that technique ?"
"You know, when someone has a strong technique, it usualy come with drawbacks." Takumi made an example by using the shadow in his hand. "Take my ten shadows for example, if I want to use any of my summons then I need to defeat them in a ritual combat first."
"Well...." Sugure was hesitant to talk about it, Takumi could see it too well on her face.
"It's fine if you don't want to share." The last thing he wants is for her to be forced.
"No, I just, can we wait till we're there? I don't like sharing something like this out in public."
"Okay." His smile did wonders to calm her nerves.
The man failed to notice how she would steal some glances his way. Geto got a good look at her teacher, so close to a man.
She wasn't in any relationship before going to Jujutsu tech. She can't even believe this is the thought inside her head. She can't help but be captured by his look, how beautiful he is.
'No, no, keep your head straight. He is a married man.' She slapped herself just in time for the train to stop.
"Something wrong ?"
"Nope, just getting ready for the mission sir."
"You can drop the 'sir' part, I'm not that old."
Getting off the train, they travel light, with no lugage so it was fairly quick to swirm past the sea of crowds. Up the stairs and there it is.
"See that?" Geto followed Takumi's finger, which pointed in one particular direction.
A column of curse energy not so far from their location.
"What....is, that?" She had never seen so much curse energy being gathered like that. It looks like someone.....
"I seal it there." Tamumi said while expressing his cockiness through a smile, he rarely has the chance to show off his barrier.
"Well, that certainly explains it."
Going off on how he gotten it done, and why he put it up. All of it was white noise for the girl walking by Takumi's side.
She knows it was wrong, oh it was so wrong in so many way but she just can't help it. Asking a teenage girl to behave around a handsome man is simply not possible. The way he walks, how his arm hangs in the air, the sway in his quiet steps.
She kept nodding along, Geto replied automatically, her gaze drifting instead to the way his outfit shifted with each step, the sharp line of his profile, the calm in his voice.
Until they-she stoped and Geto realized a bit too late as she was now inside the barrier and Takumi was not in here.
"Sensei ?" Beyond the veil, Takumi stands, his voice barely reaching her. "Remember, just take down the talisman, and try to tame as much as you can. Good luck."
"Ugh....great job Geto, you did a wonderful job." Geto muttered, spinning around as cursed energy surged. Shadows peeled themselves off the walls, malformed spirits screeching as they came to her.
Beckoning to her call, Shikigami began to appear by her side. Just 5 five of them were summoned, these grounds should have up to grade 1 judging from the curse energy being emitted, so Geto decided to use the least amount of curses to tame them.
'1 to boost my close combat ability, 1 for long-range attack capability, 2 for support.' Thought Geto, with a humanoid multi-arm muscular curse and a gecko curse by her side, and two parrot curses perch on both her shoulders.
She rushed straight to the center, the muscular curse bulldozed a line through the horde that came into her vision. Blunt force like this wasn't able to kill them, hurt enough to make them comply and not fight back making it easier for Geto. Crushed and molded into a sphere shape, sitting nicely in her pocket.
She swallowed just a few in, fighting the urge to puke. 'The rest just have to save for later.'
Jumping to the side is a skeleton curse and a flying manta ray-like curse. With their speed, they were quick to get to Geto blind spot.
*Whuap*
A long tongue hit them like a whip, shattering the skeleton and coiling around the manta ray's tail. Pulling it closer, Geto spins her body, delivering a kick into the monster's chest.
*roar*
It let out a shrinking screamed as Geto turned it into a ball and gulped it down in one go.
"Ptuu. Taste terrible." She spat.
Still, the road is long, and Geto continues to fight curses as she goes.
"Hey, you doing good?" Takumi asked.
Two hours later, that is how long she needs to clean up the entire veil area.
"Yup." *gulp* fighting back the urge to puke. Geto places a hand over her mouth.
"Let me help." Takumi's hand was on her back. "Close your eyes."
Geto didn't know what he was doing, he is the teacher here so she listened to him. A warm feeling crept into her being, it was comforting, she relaxed at the feeling spread out. Replacing her nausea and sickness.
"Wow." Geto sigh out, shoulders dropping. "What was that?"
"Just something I can do to ease the mind." He said, "Better now ?"
"Yeah, thank you."
"So, what's all of that?" Geto looked down to see all the balls of curse spirits that she hadn't swallowed up yet.
"Oh...I guess I should explain this." Her guts were starting to ache again.
Takumi nodded as Geto share to him how she has to 'tame' these curse spirits. The progress, the feeling, the horrid taste.
"Hmm, would you be willing to test something with me ? I promise to give you something afterward."
"Sure ?" Geto was a bit hesitant, she held no hope for anything better, because to her, trudging through this in silent seem more logical than holding out empty hopes.
It was just a part of her responsibility, she rationalized.
"Close your eyes, and imagine....it could be anything."
She thought of him, his face.
"Try to think what it would feel like, when you have that thing. A place, a time where you and only you can be with it." At her home, during dawn, on a lovely bed.
She thinks about his lips, so soft, yet so out of reach. Leaning her body forward. In her head, the vision of her teacher responds by leaning toward her as well. His sweet lips, waiting for her.
Then it all broke down. Gone was the feeling, the sweetness, reality returned.
Geto's eyes quickly came to realize how dangerously close she was to Takumi.
"Hey, you did great." Complimented her.
She hid her face and turned away, too shy and too embarrassed at what she had done.
"Yeah, i-uh, thank you again." She got up, "what did you say about 'gift' ?"
"Oh, right, here." He handed her a metalic staff, geto was intrigued by the green energy from it. "I think you may need something to not rely on curse spirit so much."
"Thanks sensei, you're the best." The girl happily took it off his hand and ran away.
There is no way she can let him know, what dirty dream her mind cooked up. worse, she can't let him know she enjoyed it. Or that she wanted to do it again.
