Chap 128: world problem
"The principal is calling all of us, something just come up."
"I'll head over right away."
Packing up his bag, the two headed to the staff room.
"How did your class go?" Utahime asked.
"Could be better, some aren't listening, but I could see one of them moving up their grade."
"Hmmm~~I see, as your senpai. If you're having any trouble ? Just come to me." Enthusiastically, he pointed to himself with a smile.
As they were the only males in this school, it was natural for him and Utahime to bond. Frequently hanging out in between classes.
"Yo." Takumi other clone body wave at them, in the time the two chatted. They have reached the meeting room.
Sliding the door open, the three of them enter to a wide room, sofas placed around one long table. At the end of one of the chairs is principal Yoshinobu, who sat waiting for them with a cup of tea in hand. One eye peering through her eyelash.
"Everyone, take a seat, we have a lot to discuss today, but I'll get it as fast as I can."
She proceeded to place a tall stack of documents on the table, hitting it with a heavy thud. Mentally sighing, Takune and Takichi received a stack of papers as she slid it to each one of them.
"These are...." Utahime murmured.
"Orders, from the council ?" Takichi spoke up.
Reading the papers, it would appear that curse spirits are spawning rapidly, not just in Japan but across the entire world as well.
"The report just came in yesterday, this occurrence is becoming a problem, so the council is putting the two schools up for it." Gakuganji said, with the state the world is growing. More curse energy is being created and it create a big loop, fear create curses and those curses in turn harm people making they fear even more.
"You want us to go to the country that has curses appearing? We're talking about a national problem here." Utahime raised her first question.
"And don't those countries have their own sorceress ? What happened to them?" Takichi asks.
He read through the list, some names are understandable, others are just confusing and some are just sad.
Big countries like America and Russia have an extremely low amount of sorceresses, despite being among the largest nations. They have an abundance of curse energy, making it one of the biggest hot spots for curse spirits.
China has a huge number of sorceresses, even more than Japan. The problem is that they are only around grade 4; only a few of them are above it. Still, the strongest they have is some grade 2 at the best.
"They have their hands full." The principal replied
"And they dare to request us for help ?"
"It was the higher-up decision, this opportunity is a good time for us to show their government the strength of Jujutsu society."
"Even if we managed to clear out that many curses, that won't solve the problem." Takune added. "Killing those curses won't fix the problem; they'll just pop right up when we leave anyway."
"That's not our job to care, we're just there to excorcise the curses." Gakuganji takes one long sip from her cup of tea.
"What about the clans ? What will they do ?" Judging from Utahime's point of view, they can't sit idly by as this is happening.
And he'll be right, Takumi, as the clan leader, has a duty to exorcise curse spirits. But that duty only extends to this country, not others.
"Nothing." Gakuganjji said after a long uncomfortable silence.
"What ?" Utahime can't believe what she is hearing, "You want to send us while those bastards stay laid back doing nothing ?"
"I get it." Takune's words draw the eyes of both of them. "They want to keep their cards hidden."
The clans are the strongest asset of Jujutsu society, they can't let the other nation know their full strength.
"It was a political move." The principal said through a pause, "The council needs to keep our national power hidden so in case they might attack."
'I see, the higher up do know about their firearm threat the other country possesses.' It was something even those old fools can't overlook.
Guns and bombs may not have been that much trouble to deal with. It's the nukes that they truly worried about. He started to understand why Senjaku would drag America into this mess. Stopping his thought right there. Takumi can't believe he's getting dragged into a political war, the clone shakes his head.
Utahime's face shows her upset emotion, obviously not happy sending children as soldiers to what is essentially a front line for jujutsu and curses.
"Your classes will depart in 5 days, get ready for them. Utahime." Gakuganji's cold voice lingered in the room for a long time, even when they all left.
"You good ?" Takune said in a calm tone, trying to soothe his friend.
"Yeah, i'm- *phuu* just anxious. That's all, and you ?"
"I'm tense, but that won't help much, so my focus is better used on other things that can keep my students alive."
Hearing his words, Utahime's face seemed to lighten up a bit. "You're right. I'll head back to contact my student."
"I'll do the same. See ya tomorow." The clones walked away, out of her sight, and not under surveillance. They both were transported away, and when they reappeared, it was in a secret underground facility.
Hiden away, a place for Takumi to prepare for the next step in his plan. In a large room, enough to accommodate thousands of people. There's only one big black orb, light is emitted from a screen on the surface of this sphere.
Its materials, technological design, and structure surpass the achievements of what this world can make. Connected to this orb are multiple computers and a huge container that has a see-through glass allowing him to see what is made inside these containers.
Black outfit resembling that of the one that is used in the world where he takes the orb from.
"Hello, Gantz." The blank screen changed into a text message chat. Normally there would be a person needed to make the Gantz function, but Takumi has a different means, that being plugging the system A.I to control it for himself.
[Hello, user]
"How's the production line going ?"
[Ten suit are being made per day]
"That's slow, huh?" Sighing, he picked up one of the suits in his hand. The materials that made up these suits are too hard to find, and not to mention that those that he can find are too expensive anyway. Harder than steel and flexible enough for the wearer.
"But this is needed for when I expand my organization." In the future to come, when those otherworldly beings came to his world.
He has no idea when the next incursion may happen, so a proper army is needed for that cause.
