Chap 127: classes
Afterward, Takumi drove them to a treat. A nice snack bar, not that the two students minded. The two have exercise long enough to get a appetite.
After the mission, the respect for him risen within the two student. The image that of a strong and reliable teacher formed for them.
"A soft, cold snack after work, I sure hope you keep treating us like this each mission. Sensei." By the way he is smiling, Mei Mei is pleased.
Enjoying himself with a cone of strawberry ice cream, sharing a table with Kusakabe and Takumi.
"Though I don't think I'll ever hear about a strong jujutsu sorcerer like you, anyone who is as strong as you would be known by everyone." The girl grumbles as she takes a bite out of her apple pie.
"I am known, just not by everyone." Takumi answered.
"I doubt it." "Seemed like sensei just fell out of the sky." Neither of his students believes that statement at all.
"What was that technique you used Sensei ?" Kusakabe asks, curiosity in her eyes.
"I heard about Sorcerers that can use Reverse Curse technique, but yours doesn't look like it." Mei Mei jumped in between.
"No, that was one of many abilities i have." Takumi carefully picked the words as he said. "I would tell, but that could get me into trouble."
"Keeping it a secret ? no fun." Mei Mei teases. "You can make a lot of money with me, if you like, i-"
"Pass." He shot the idea down before it could be said. "Though I won't try to sway you from your personal goal, let's not drag me into plan." Well aware of the greed Mei Mei has, he wanted no part in it at all.
"Won't hurt to have a social connection." Mei Mei said, insisting on giving Takumi his number. To which the teacher accepts begrudgingly.
"Call me when you have a change of mind." Mei Mei said with a sweet charming tone.
Kusakabe herself wasn't adding too much to the conversation. By nature, Takumi could see that she was an introvert, so he let her be.
They chatted until the two finished their food, Takumi drove them back to the school, where Mei Mei and Kusakabe walked back to their own dorm room.
Of course, his class did not end that soon, besides supervising his student on the mission. It is his responsibility to teach and inform the students about everything Jujutsu and curse spirit-related.
His class includes a theory and practice classes, theory is everything from how to utilize curse energy, and the practice class is like today, where he lets them exorcise curses.
The normal subjects of an ordinary student do need to be taken, but those are non-obligatory classes. So to the likes of Kusakabe and Mei Mei who are on the way to becoming full-time Jujutsu users, it's quite obvious that they won't care.
Afternoon class is when his wife will take over, so he'll head home early.
------------
At the Kyoto branch of Jujutsu high, Takichi and Takune are doing much the same as his main body. Taking turns teaching the class.
The few students they have the responsibility to teach are not anyone from the main cannon. However, they do have some connection.
The class has three students, a girl from the Kamo clan, and the other two are from a lesser-known clan. Regardless of their obscurity, he wanted to know about them for his teaching.
And as some kind of play by fate, the class they teach didn't have anywhere near the potential that the main cast showed.
All his students were grade 2, but barely. Only the kid from the Kamo clan was trying to be good at her studies. Paying attention in class, learning what to do and what she can use to improve in her technique. A 'normal' student.
The other two were for the lack of a better word, the rich and entitled brat. Constantly ignoring his teaching, they are the living example of ignorance. But that could just because he was a man.
Not to the degree of being delinquent, just very lazy. He was not angry, just disappointed, but he wasn't in a position to get rid of or force them to study.
The two clone reaction is to let them act the way they are, unless they broke some kind of school code, they won't do anything.
Missions were boring too, they did not get any curse spirit that exceeded grade 2. He was able to assess his student in action.
The Kamo kid was good, her curse technique is not like the normal blood manipulation but a downgrade version of it. Only able to make weapon with her blood, a blood claw.
She was very nimble with it, he saw how she used the weapon with precision with each strike and had a talent for leading her team. The other two, despite being from the clan, don't have any inherited technique at all, relying on their own innate technique.
They were clumsy, arrogant, and not very cooperative in missions, frequently disobeying orders more than once or twice. But easily folded when Takune and Takichi stepped in, they had shown the class how strong the two clones are. Crushing the head of a grade 2 with his bare hand or telekinetically lifting multiple curse spirits up into the air and exploding them.
Once again, he learn that people of jujutsu society only respect and listen to the strong.
But that was to be expected, even with the rise of curse spirits. It was a small and hard to notice detail, one where Takumi was much more keen to aware of.
Days turn to weeks, Takumi's life is only getting more busy. Trying to balance his triple life being a teacher, a husband, and going out on missions every day. Still, it has some nice moments to help him relax.
"Okey class, we are done for today." Takune said.
"Goodbye, Sensei." The voice was from Nai Kamo, she politely said before heading out.
The other two student did not even give him any attention as they just got up right away, so bored out of their mind they couldn't stand being in class anymore.
*haiz* A tired breath escaped his mouth. Takune cleaned his table up and headed out as well.
*knock knock* "Hey, Takune. You al'right ?"
"Oh, hi Utahime Senpai." He greeted the only other male teacher of this school.
If excluding himself and old Yoshinobu Gakuganji, Utahime is the only main staff member of the school. They hadn't met on his first day teaching at Kyoto. But were able to get to know each other after his first week.
A slender and of average height man, he wears the traditional Kimono for males. Basically the male version of a miko shrine maiden.
Utahime has long blackish-purple hair that extends down his back, with some strands tied behind his head, thin eyebrows, and brown eyes. Right now, he has not received the scar on the right side of his face yet.
