I can fix her

[Yuito's POV]

{The cursed digits}

.

.

.

"Oh shit." I cursed out loud, my eyes shaking in fear and recognition.

I immediately turned away from her and gathered my messy thoughts. Then I turned to look at her again and quickly looked away again.

I looked at her again and then looked away.

At her, and then away. At her and then away.

And finally, I looked at her again and this time I did not turn away. I held my gaze at her figure which was undeniably familiar with the one I remembered.

The Cursed Digits, or Metamorphosis was an infamous doujin that ripped the hearts of many with its tragic and messed-up story.

It followed the story of the heroine, Saki who was a nerdy and unattractive girl all throughout her life but when she went to high school, she did a makeover and had a glow-up.

Once a nerdy girl, ignored by all her classmates, she became a beauty who was popular and desired by the boys.

Unfortunately. the glow-up she had, proved to be a curse as she couldn't adjust to the different treatment she was receiving. She fell into peer pressure, got taken advantage of by a man got into doing drugs, and was forced to have sex during her high.

She was but a naive girl who did not know better, who was not used to being pretty and noticed.

Her life took a tragic turn, some of the many events included her new boyfriend making her sell her body to people for money.

Her prostitution was found out by her classmates, and then the boys in her class blackmailed her. Being a sex toy to every boy in school due to the blackmailing.

Getting raped by her stepfather due to her new attractiveness. Her mother found out and kicked her out for seducing her husband,

Being addicted to drugs, getting raped by drug dealers. And then being raped more by homeless people, and then having to sell her body for shelter.

Getting pregnant and having to do more degraded stuff for money. Getting thrown away like trash while she was high on drugs and every passerby raping her, getting beaten up by girls. Getting her vagina mutilated and abused by drunks, glass shards inserted in her. A wine bottle kicked into her.

You could go on and on about the messed-up things that happened even only in the doujin. I can't imagine all of the thing that must've happened which was not shown in the manga.

And all of those memories flashed in my head as I looked at her juvenile face. Who would have known such a sad fate was awaiting this introverted girl who looked to be one inch away from being a yandere,

I continued looking at her for a long time, the ticking seconds were lost to my mind. Feeling surged and thoughts were abuzz in my mind.

I stayed like that until the ice cream in melted and drop on my hand.  It brought me out of my thoughts but by then I had made a decision.

.

.

"I can fix her."

I was not about to watch as the girl went down a path that would ruin her whole life. I just couldn't.

So it was decided.

I walked toward the girl and she turned to me when she noticed me walking up to her. I did not say anything and simply stood right beside her and joined her in staring at the middle school kids having fun and enjoying their youth.

I was wearing a mask like I always did these days when I was alone to avoid stares, so Saki simply raised a brow when I stood beside her.

There was silence between us as I gave her one of the ice cream in my hand. She was surprised and wanted to deny it, but she did not have the social skills to deny me so she just took my ice cream.

"umm..Thank you." She said and simply held the ice cream. She did not even eat it as we stood in awkward silence.

"What's your name?" I asked her to start a conversation as she answered it in a simple flat tone that seemed appropriate for a shut in.

"Saki. Saki Yoshida." She said.

You would expect her to return the question in a normal setting but Saki was not a normal girl. She was way more unsociable and awkward.

"You are beautiful." I said, my tone was the same as if I just commented about the weather.

.

.

.

.

"..eh?" It took a while for her to decipher the foreign words I just said, as if I was speaking an alien language.

Maybe it was the compliment, that was alien concept to her.

"heh?" She said again and turned to me, her breath hitched and her hands came up to her chest.

I turned my head to her and gave her a closed-eyed smile, one recognizable even with my mask.

"Have no one ever told you that? You seem surprised." I said to her blushing face. It seems she was still not over the sentence.

'She's cute'

"Uum, no." She shook her head and turned away from me and looked at the ground. She hid her blush from me but I could tell that she was blushing from her red ears.

"Really? I assumed you get that a lot since you are so cute." I said with a smile and that seemed to shake her to her core as she let out a squeaky sound, like a rat.

"Me? cute?" She whispered to herself but my ears caught it, causing me to smile wider at her.

"Hey, if you don't mind, can I get your number? Or maybe your IG?" I asked her gently, still with a smile on my face.

"ha! I-I don't have an IG account." She stuttered.

"Your number it is then." I said, causing her to rummage through her pockets before she took out her phone.

"Um, how do I-?" She said, clearly panicked as her hands were shaking. Maybe it was due to nervousness or excitement.

"Here, let me." I said and I took the phone from her hand and looked at her number.

Although she was nervous and awkward, I have dealt with Komi before. And I doubt any living person could compare to her when it came to social awkwardness.

I added my number to her phone while I also remembered her number - which was not hard because of my high intelligence stats.

She just stood nervously and fidget in her place until I handed back her phone. I took out my phone and added her number before sending a text to the number for confirmation.

*ding*

(Hello)

(Thank you for giving me your number)

I sent her and she looked at the message on her phone, almost emotional.

"Well, I'll see you around," I said and walked away from her. I still had to catch up to the girls after all and it seems I would have to go full speed due to the delay.

"Oh and nice choice with Rikka's thighs," I said with a smile before running off at her steaming face.

It seemed Saki was a woman of culture, she had Rikka's thighs as her wallpaper. Rikka from SSSS Gridman.

She would get along nicely with Marin I think. And Kurumi.

As I ran off at full speed my ears barely caught her saying I haven't told her my name.

I did not bother answering as I have saved my number with my real name on it. She would know soon.

{God you must feel so cool right now.}

"Hahaha"
