I’m Home

[Yuito's POV]

"Ahhh~"

*womp*

*Asmr chewing sounds*

*gulp*

*silence*

*sniffles*

*crying*

"Why are you crying, honey?" Sumire asked me with concern. She was sitting at the edge of my bed while she held a bento box in her hand.

"I-Its so good." I said while happy tears fell from my eyes. My taste buds had once again known the delight of food.

It was said that a mother's cooking is always special to her child but this was even beyond that. She was quite literally cooking divine food.

"I'm glad I packed it while waiting for my flight. I knew you would need lots of food to recover." She smiled sweetly at me.

Silence occupied the space of the room as she continued feeding me like a mother bird would her chicks.

Sometimes, words are too limited and direct to express the matters of emotions. So we let our actions and the silence do the talking between us.

She fed me lovingly, the food she had made, as if trying to make up for whatever it was she blamed herself for. With her actions, she was trying to fix what she had broken, trying to make things right.

On the other hand, I obeyed her every gesture and just be her baby boy for the moment without pride or ego. I ate everything she fed me with a smile, even if it was too spicy or salty.

We continued our action until the bento box became empty and my stomach full. I flashed her a smile, "Thanks for the food."

She returned my smile and after putting the empty box away, her hands caressed my bandaged body.

She put her hand on my arm, she checked my bruises as her hand slowly traveled up and she touched my chest.

She caressed my chest as tears pooled in her eyes again and the mood turned sobre. Her face scrunch up as if she was stabbed with every new injury she found on my body.

"Yuito." She cooed my name as her hand finally came up my face and held my cheek.

"What happened?" She asked me with pursed lips. She was not demanding an answer like you would expect from a stern parent, instead, her voice was begging for an answer.

'Gun happened.' I replied instantly in my mind but I was not actually going to say it. It would be hard and I would only sound unreasonable if I told her the truth.

But I don't want to lie either so I would just, not say anything at all.

"Don't worry about it." I said, putting my hand over hers. It was the wrong answer as her frown curved a bit more.

"It wouldn't happen again."

"It better not." She said and pulled me forward for a small, heartfelt kiss. "I can't see you get hurt like this all the time. I know I shouldn't be that way since you are in a fighting sport but..."

"I can't help it." She said.

"Then I will just get so strong that no opponent of mine would be able to even draw blood from me." I said with a cheeky smile.

She caressed me for a few more minutes before she stood up and told me she was going to talk to the doctor.

While Sumire was gone, I used the time to check the doctor's diagnosis of my injuries. It was not good, to say the least.

Two broken ribs, internal bleeding, torn muscles, broken fingers, broken knuckles, broken toes, extremely low blood pressure, broken nose, etc were some of the long lines of injuries.

I would be worried if I didn't know I was built different.

My mother came back and we were both happy to be informed that I could leave the hospital as I had no injury that required continuous treatment from the doctor.

I just needed to rest and stay in bed for a long time. I was also given medications which mostly consist of painkillers and stuff that should help me heal quickly.

We spent another night in the hospital and we left for Japan the next day. During this time, it was just me and my mother and Tsukimi did not visit me again.

Hobin came to visit me in the hospital and my mother was extremely glad to finally see a male friend of mine. Hobin was worried and asked me what happened and I just told him to get stronger faster and that there were monsters even stronger than me in Korea.

Hopefully, that motivated him to work even harder.

He was also extremely shy and conscious around my mother since she still looked so young and beautiful. It was honestly funny seeing how awkward and shy he was around her while Sumire wanted to know everything about him and how we both became friends.

I also did a video call to Komi and Marin who were both very worried about me. Kurumi was with Marin for the time being and from her doggy whines, she was worried about me too.

They told us they would wait for us at the airport the next day.

And like that, my time in Korea finally ended.

Hobin and Bomi went to the airport with us and sent us off. I wished both of them luck with their life and relationship to which they both just blushed.

I was worried about Tsukimi and wondered how things went between her and her parents but to my relief, just before boarding the plane, I caught her waving at me amidst the crowd.

She was standing on the airport bench as she waved at me with a beautiful plastic smile. I wished her well and waved at her, ending things on a good note.

*******

"Yuito!!!" I heard the lovely voice of the one and only Marin Kitagawa the moment I unboarded from the plane.

I was wearing shades and a hoodie to hide my identity but it was difficult when she a beautiful girl like her was screaming my name.

But I had not even an ounce of anger towards her. I saw her running towards me with that wide smile of hers which I only realized I missed this much the moment I saw her again.

Behind her Komi was also there, attracting attention from everyone. She had her stoic and dool-like look on her face but I could see her eyes twinkling.

But both of them were not the first to reach me. The first one to give me a hug was my wolfie Kurumi who blasted past them and launched herself at me.

"I miss you too girl!!" I said while she licked my face and gave me an excited whine. Marin and Komi reached me next and Marin boldy gave me a kiss while jumping on me.

I hugged her and held her in the air even though I was injured. her legs wrapped around my waist and she gave me a passionate kiss.

"You taste like blood." Was her comment when she pulled away from me.

I turned to Komi next and flash her a smile that brought red to her dolly face.

"I'm home."
