Chapter 46. You’re Showering in My Shower!
Succubi Chapter 46. You’re Showering in My Shower!
Dinner wasn’t ready yet, and my application was still under review. So yeah, perfect time for a shower.
I grabbed my towel, fresh clothes, and the essentials—shampoo, soap, a bottle of revitalizing body wash that probably cost more than my monthly allowance—and headed toward the shared bathroom section at the end of the dorm hallway.
Yes. Shared.
Yes. I was the only guy living in this all-girls dorm.
And yes. That meant I checked real carefully before going in.
Door unlocked.
Light off.
No sounds.
I cracked the door open like I was diffusing a bomb and peeked inside. Clean. Empty. Blessed silence.
“Nice.”
I stepped in, shut the door, locked it, and even slapped an "In Use" sign charm on the handle—just in case someone forgot how doors and personal space worked. Safety first. Mostly for my dignity.
The inside of the bathroom looked like it was pulled straight out of a luxury magazine. Marble tiles, soft ambient lighting, warm steam enchantments, and a wide mirror above twin sinks. The kind of place I'd expect a princess to bathe in before battling capitalism.
I placed my stuff on the bench, stripped off my clothes, and stood in front of the mirror for a second.
Still me.
Sort of.
Same dark hair. Skin clearer, jawline sharper. And the eyes… yeah, definitely not standard issue. A faint crimson glow shimmered underneath, barely noticeable unless someone stared hard.
I leaned in.
“Y’know,” I muttered to myself, “I kinda get the whole charm thing now.”
There was something... unnatural about the way I looked now. Not in a bad way. More like the mirror had a subtle filter on it—but in real life.
“Guess becoming a hell prince comes with a built-in makeover,” I exhaled, running a hand through my hair. “I thought I’d go full monster-face, but turns out… demons really are designed to tempt humans.”
I paused.
“…Except that half-demon I fought. That dude looked like a badly rendered boss from a mobile game.”
I snorted and stepped into the shower area, feeling the warm tiles under my feet as I turned on the steam.
Water pressure? Perfect.
I started whistling. Because honestly?
I was in a great mood.
First demon fight—won.
Ares? Kicked into emotional submission.
Sera? Clung to me like I was a walking nap cloud.
The girls? Flustered. Even Evelyn blinked twice. Twice.
It was a good day.
I lathered up my hair with that expensive shampoo I bought myself—the kind that smelled ridiculously good, like sweet blueberries with a hint of vanilla. No one recommended it. I just have good taste. And yeah, I started humming, feeling way too proud of my shampoo choice.
And then—
-SPLASH.
“Gah—my eye—!” I jerked back, blindly pawing for the shower switch.
My fingers missed.
Then hit something that wasn’t the wall.
It wasn’t soft either. Not like skin. Not like boob soft. Definitely not that.
No, it was… face?
Then came the voice, calm and casual like I hadn’t just touched her cheek like a horror movie jump scare.
“Evan,” she said, “can’t you be gentle for once?”
My heart stopped.
I quickly scrubbed my face and blinked the bubbles away—and then I saw her.
Val.
Naked.
Standing in front of me like this was a normal Tuesday evening.
“VAL?!” I practically choked. “WHAT—ARE YOU—WHY ARE YOU—?!”
She raised an eyebrow like I was the one being weird. “What?”
“What do you mean what?! You’re NAKED.”
She looked down at herself. “I’m showering.”
“IN MY SHOWER?!”
She crossed her arms. “It’s not your shower, Evan. Shared. Communal. Dorm rules.”
“That’s not the point!” I yelped, slamming my back against the wall like it would absorb my soul and spare me. “There’s a system!”
She stepped forward, completely unbothered. “I’m part of the system.”
“I locked the door!”
“I unlocked it.”
“You what—”
“Override code 03,” she said simply. “House privilege. I’m the prefect.”
“You are—why is this allowed?!”
“Because I wanted to check on you.”
“In the shower?!”
She nodded. “Yes.”
I groaned into my hands. “You’re watching me bathe?”
She blinked. “No. I’m observing.”
“Oh wow. That makes it so much better.”
Val took another step forward, her hair now slightly damp from the mist, eyes glinting with that same cool, confident aura she always wore. The light above caught the water trailing down her collarbone and down—
Nope. Not looking.
Too late. I looked.
She tilted her head. “You’re acting like you’ve never seen a girl naked before.”
“Not like this! Not when she’s making eye contact and quoting the system’s handbook at me while we’re both naked!”
Val leaned against the tiled wall, clearly enjoying my spiral. “You're flustered.”
“No kidding!”
“I’m not trying to tease you,” she added, eyes narrowing slightly. “I came to see if you were okay. Really.”
That made me pause.
Under the chaos, under the perfect skin and well-timed hair flips… She did look sincere. Honest.
“...Why?”
She shrugged. “Half-demon attacked you. You could’ve been hurt. I wanted to make sure you weren’t hiding any wounds… or worse, that thing didn’t tag you with some kind of tracking curse or hidden mark.”
My brain stalled. “So you… decided the best place to check for that was the shower?”
“Hard to miss anything when there’s nothing to cover it,” she said flatly.
“This is so not normal!”
She didn’t flinch. Just kept staring at me like a war medic examining a patient—except we were both very naked, and the steam wasn’t helping my focus.
I sighed and slumped a bit. The water was still running. We were still very, very naked. And somehow, the panic had… kinda leveled out.
“You’re unbelievable,” I muttered.
“I’ve heard worse.”
“You could’ve waited until I was done, y’know.”
She shrugged. “But then you’d go to dinner pretending everything’s fine. And I’d never know the truth.”
I stared at her for a beat.
Then I smirked. “So what now? Shower interview?”
“If you’d like,” she said, deadpan.
“…You’re not gonna leave, are you?”
“Nope.”
