Chapter 170. No Privacy
Succubi Chapter 170. No Privacy
She laughed softly, the sound echoing lightly off the stone.
“Long night?”
I stared at the mirror very professionally.
“Academically,” I said.
“Academically,” she repeated with exaggerated innocence.
The steam thickened between us.
I could feel my ears heating up.
Which was ridiculous.
I had just spent hours in intimate chaos.
And now a naked succubus in a shower had me glitching like a rookie.
She stepped slightly closer to the edge of the stall, water tracing down her shoulder.
“You look stronger,” she said casually.
That snapped me out of it a little.
“…What?”
“Your aura,” she replied. “It’s heavier.”
I swallowed.
Of course she noticed.
Succubi sensed these things.
“Must be good sleep,” I said flatly.
She snorted.
“Three hours?”
“…How do you know that.”
She shrugged.
“We hear things.”
Of course they did.
I ran a hand through my hair.
This dorm was chaos.
No privacy.
No boundaries.
No mercy.
And somehow…
I wasn’t fighting it this morning.
That realization settled quietly in my chest.
Val leaned her elbow against the tile, water still running over her skin.
“You’re different today,” she said softly.
I glanced at her.
“Different how.”
She tilted her head slightly, studying me.
“Less guarded.”
I wanted to deny it.
Wanted to snap something Pride flavored back at her.
But I was too tired to lie properly.
“Maybe,” I said instead.
She smiled faintly.
The steam shifted.
Water kept running behind the curtain, steady and rhythmic, like it didn’t care about emotional revelations happening five feet away. The scent of soap mixed with heat and faint perfume, thickening the air between us.
Val leaned her shoulder lightly against the tile, half hidden by steam, half visible in silhouette. Casual. Comfortable. Like this was just another morning.
“I’m almost finished,” she said. “Your turn.”
She shut the water off.
Silence filled the room for a second, heavy and humid. Then the shower curtain slid open.
I kept my eyes very respectfully on the sink.
Very respectfully.
I did not stare.
I absolutely did not let my gaze drift.
Steam rolled outward, and she stepped out like this was a runway instead of a shared dorm bathroom at eight in the morning. Water traced down her skin in slow lines before she reached for her robe.
And of course it was a luxury robe.
Cream colored. Silk lined. Probably branded by some infernal fashion house that required a blood signature and a minimum balance I did not currently possess.
I was willing to bet that robe cost a year of my pocket money.
Maybe two.
She slid it on slowly, tying the belt loosely at her waist. The movement was unhurried. Confident.
Calculated.
She stepped closer.
Too close.
I turned my head just in time for her lips to brush my cheek.
Light.
Soft.
Warm.
“Be stronger, Evan,” she murmured. “You look more delicious when you do.”
Delicious.
The way she said it…
Like I was food.
Like I was dessert.
Like she was evaluating plating presentation.
She pulled back, satisfied, and walked toward the door.
Her robe swayed slightly with each step.
No rush.
No shame.
Just Val being Val.
The door clicked shut behind her.
Silence.
Steam.
Mint.
I stared at the mirror for a long second.
“…Right,” I muttered.
I needed to turn my brain on.
I finished brushing my teeth properly this time, rinsed, wiped my mouth, and then…
I felt it.
Below.
I froze.
Slowly looked down.
Pulled off my pants just enough to confirm.
Yeah.
There it was.
That little traitor.
Hard.
Fully awake.
My blank brain + naked girl in the bathroom + cheek kiss + memory of last night.
Teenage hormones had clocked in for overtime.
I stared at it like it had personally betrayed the kingdom.
“You have got to be kidding me,” I muttered.
It stood there proudly.
Unapologetic.
I smirked despite myself.
“Oh no you don’t,” I said. “We have class.”
I pointed at it like I was disciplining a soldier.
“You need to be tame before we get home.”
Cold water it is.
I stepped into the shower and turned the knob.
All the way to cold.
There was a split second where my soul left my body.
Then…
Ice.
Actual ice.
Cold water slammed against my chest and I hissed through my teeth like a demon being exorcised.
My spine straightened instantly.
Every muscle tensed.
My brain rebooted at lightning speed.
The world became sharp.
Clear.
Cruel.
The “little guy” reconsidered his life choices immediately.
Retreated.
Softened.
Attempted to hide like nothing had happened.
I laughed breathlessly. “See? Discipline.”
Cold showers were terrible.
But effective.
And honestly? The shock cleared the fog in my head better than any motivational speech ever could.
By the time I stepped out and dried off, I felt…
Not fully rested.
But functional.
I pulled on my academy uniform slowly, smoothing out the jacket, fixing the collar, running a hand through my still damp hair.
The mirror showed someone more composed now.
Still slightly sleep deprived.
But steadier.
I picked up my bag and headed toward the dining room.
Because there was one thing in this world I would not skip.
Breakfast.
The hallway was brighter now. Morning light filtering through high windows. Voices overlapping. Footsteps moving toward class.
I walked into the dining room and stopped for a second.
Yeah.
This still felt unreal.
The table was long. Polished. Covered with dishes that looked like they belonged in a royal banquet instead of a student dorm.
Fresh bread still steaming. Honey glaze reflecting the light. Fruit sliced perfectly. Eggs done to golden perfection. Something sizzling faintly on a silver platter.
It looked beautiful.
It smelled even better.
For a second, I just stood there.
I used to wake up to jam sandwich and watered down broth.
Used to calculate whether I could afford seconds.
Now?
Now I lived in a dorm run by a Lust sin and staffed by overqualified imps who cooked like they had Michelin stars from Hell.
I exhaled slowly and pulled out a chair.
Yeah.
I liked this.
I liked feeling like royalty.
Even if technically…
I was still broke.
Relatively.
Mostly.
Details.
