Chapter 16. Lost Heir of Hell

Succubi Chapter 16. Lost Heir of Hell

I didn’t know what pissed me off more—the fact that she was saying this like it was some kind of special event, or the fact that she was grinning while I was in absolute agony.

The heat inside me—no, the pain—had become unbearable. It felt like something was ripping me apart from the inside out. Every muscle in my body tensed as if my very bones were shifting. I tried to hold back a scream, tried to grit my teeth, but I couldn’t.

I opened my mouth, only for Lilith to slam her lips against mine.

What the fuck?!

I struggled, my arms instinctively trying to push her off, but she grabbed my wrists, holding me down as if she already expected me to fight back. I made a muffled, strangled noise against her lips. This was not helping! I was dying—and she was kissing me?!

[DING!]

[Awakening Process has begun… 20%]

Oh, hell no.

I thrashed harder, trying to push her off, but Lilith was not letting go. She deepened the kiss, pressing herself closer, keeping my lips locked with hers like some kind of magic seal. What the hell was this?!

[Awakening Process: 35%...]

The pain intensified. I gasped, my head tilting back, but Lilith still didn’t let me go. I could barely hear the others talking over the rushing sound in my ears.

Gladia’s voice cut through first. "This is weird," she muttered. "He shouldn't be in pain like this."

Pain?

SHOULDN’T BE IN PAIN?!

This was beyond pain! This was some kind of hellfire crawling inside me, tearing me apart, reshaping me into something else.

[Awakening Process: 50%...]

I clenched my fists, trying to regain control.

Gladia sniffed again, her eyes narrowing. "And his scent…" she muttered, frowning. "It’s different than ours."

Different?

What the hell did she mean by different?!

[Awakening Process: 75%...]

I groaned, my nails digging into my palms.

Sera observed me. She wasn’t smiling or teasing. She just stared at me quietly, analyzing. Then, after a long pause, she murmured, "He is one of us… But he is… different. I guess he is a real anomaly."

Anomaly? There was that damn word again.

[Awakening Process: 90%...]

I felt my spine stretch, my muscles lock up. Something erupted from my back. A sharp, tearing sensation. Then a rush of air.

And suddenly… I wasn’t on the ground anymore. I was floating!

No—

Hovering.

My body felt lighter—but stronger.

The pain vanished.

Just like that… Like flipping a switch.

I let out a sharp breath, my body relaxing, my chest heaving.

The burning heat? Gone.

The suffocating agony? Gone.

Instead… I felt powerful. Too powerful. And that’s when I noticed them. The girls were staring at me. Wide-eyed. Some in shock. Some in awe. Some in… Something else entirely.

Lilith finally let go of my wrists, stepping back slightly. She looked at me. A slow, knowing smile spread across her lips. "Well, well," she purred. "Look who finally came home."

I frowned. "The hell are you—" I stopped my words once I saw it. The reflection. There was a tall, ornate mirror behind Lilith. And the thing staring back at me? Wasn’t the same person I saw before.

My eyes widened.

Because the first thing I noticed?

The wings. Massive. Jet black. Not like theirs—not smooth, not tempting. These were designed for battle. Sharp edges. Razor-tipped feathers. And the horns. They weren’t curved like theirs. They were jagged. Uneven. And my tail. It wasn’t the thin, teasing succubus tail like theirs. Mine was thicker. More defined. A warrior’s tail. Meant for destruction. For killing.

I swallowed hard. "What…" My voice felt deeper. Darker. Stronger. I clenched my fists, feeling the raw strength coursing through me. "What the hell am I?"

Lilith’s eyes gleamed. "You?" she whispered. She took a slow step forward. "You, Evan?" Her smile widened. "You’re a demon. Like us."

Sera suddenly spoke. "No," she muttered, watching me carefully. "It seems he’s not just a demon." That shut me up real quick. She leaned forward, her gaze piercing through me. I barely had time to react before she was right up in my face. Way too close.

My breath hitched as her cool fingers reached out, aiming for my cheek. I caught her wrist. Her eyes flickered with amusement. "I just wanted to check," she said flatly.

I hesitated. Then, reluctantly, I let go.

Her hand cupped my face, tilting my chin slightly, studying me like I was some rare artifact.

I swallowed hard. Then, her hand lowered—To my chest. Her palm pressed flat against me. "Analyze…"

A cold sensation ran through my skin, like static electricity dancing over my body.

Sera’s eyes glazed over for a brief moment—her entire expression going blank, like she was processing something deep in her system.

She snapped back. Her gaze locked onto mine, and she whispered, "Oh." She blinked, her lips parting slightly. "This is really surprising…," she muttered.

I frowned. "Surprising how?"

She didn’t answer. Instead, her hand kept moving lower. I barely had time to react before her fingers gripped something she definitely shouldn’t be gripping. My cock.

I jolted. My entire body stiffened. A heat rushed to my face so fast I thought my head was going to explode. "Is that necessary?!" I choked out, trying not to panic.

Sera didn’t let go. Instead, she tilted her head. "Hmm," she mused. "You have a nice cock down here."

"EXCUSE ME?!"

She nodded to herself, completely ignoring my mortification. "Perfect size," she muttered. "Perfect shape."

What the actual hell?!

I yanked back immediately, stepping away, my face burning. "Okay, what the hell is the connection between my d*ck and me being a demon?!" I snapped.

Sera blinked at me, completely unfazed. She ignored my question entirely and spoke again. "You have more Sin power than others," she said, tilting her head. Her expression was… curious. "All seven," she added.

My breath hitched. All… seven?

"But the most powerful one is Pride." She stepped closer, watching my reaction. "Which means," she continued, "you’re not just a normal demon."

I frowned. “Yeah, I know," I muttered. "The system told me that already."

She raised a brow. "Oh?"

I crossed my arms. "It said I’m the Crown Prince of Hell," I said dryly. "Can someone explain what the fuck that means?!"

Sera’s eyes darkened slightly. She glanced at the others before muttering, "Really?"

Then she sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Good thing I messed around with your system earlier," she mused.

I narrowed my eyes. "What do you mean, messed around?"

She smirked. "I did something with your system. The Academy won’t know your true status now."

My stomach dropped.

Wait.

WAIT.

"WHAT?!" I yelled.

"Yeah, yeah," she waved dismissively. "You’re welcome, by the way."

I felt a migraine forming.

Before I could even process that information, Evelyn finally spoke. "But how could he be the Crown Prince?" she murmured, frowning. She crossed her arms, her eyes glinting with something unreadable. "You know how chaotic Hell is," she continued. "And I’ve never heard the king had a child before."

Then I choked. “Huh?”

Lilith laughed. "Oh, sweetheart," she purred. "You really don’t know anything, do you?"

I clenched my fists. “Of course, I don’t!” I had been a normal guy. A normal human.

But now?

Now, I was standing in a room full of succubi, with demonic wings on my back, and a tail meant for battle.

My system was different.

My bloodline was different.

I was something else entirely.

And I had no idea what the hell to do next.

I opened my mouth to argue, to demand some kind of reasonable explanation, but Rivy spoke first. "Maybe the King covered this up. You know how bad the power struggle in Hell is right now?"

Lilith nodded. "True. That would make sense. Maybe this was the King’s way of protecting his son."

I narrowed my eyes. "Protecting me? Really?"

Val scoffed, crossing her arms. "Yeah, I can’t imagine that cruel bastard of a King having a child. You know how ruthless he is. Too many enemies, too many grudges. He’s the reason a lot of demons disguise themselves as humans and choose to live in the mortal realm instead. Hell’s been in chaos ever since he took over."

I frowned. "So, you’re telling me my supposed father is the reason demons don’t even want to live in Hell?" The idea was absurd, but the more they spoke, the more I realized I knew absolutely nothing about my own bloodline.

“Hmmm,” Sera leaned forward, studying me as if I were some kind of puzzle. "Ever heard of the King’s twin brother?" she asked.

Lilith’s teasing smile faded slightly. "Yeah. But he was supposedly incapable of ruling, so the current King took the throne."

"That’s the official story," Sera continued, her voice neutral. "But I’ve heard another version. One where he was actually the rightful heir. That he wasn’t weak, but rather, he was cursed—his power sealed so he appeared incapable of ruling."

The idea that the strongest candidate for the throne was cursed into weakness? A convenient way to steal power. But what did that have to do with me?

Sera didn’t stop there. "There were also rumors," she said, "that he had a child."

My breath caught in my throat. "You’re saying—"

"It was never confirmed," she cut in smoothly. "But if that’s true, then it means you—Evan Drakos—are the rightful heir. Not the King’s son. His brother’s."

My jaw dropped. My entire life, I thought I was just another guy, just another student trying to make a name for himself in the academy. But now? If what Sera was saying was true, I wasn’t just a demon or a prince.

I was a threat.

Lilith’s smirk returned, though this time there was something sharper behind it. "Oh, I see you really have no idea," she repeated, placing a hand on my chest.

I clenched my fists, stepping back from her touch. "And you do?" My voice came out harsher than I intended, but I was too overwhelmed to care.

She chuckled, shaking her head. "I have suspicions," she admitted. "But one thing’s for sure. If your uncle ever finds out you’re alive, you’ll have the whole of Hell hunting you down."

A sharp silence followed. I gritted my teeth, my mind racing. If Hell was anything like I was starting to suspect, the second they knew I existed, I was dead.

Evelyn finally spoke, her voice calm yet firm. "You said the Demon King covered this up to protect him," she said, glancing at Rivy. "But what if it wasn’t to protect Evan? What if it was to protect himself?"

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

She met my gaze, her expression unreadable. "If Evan is the rightful heir, then by demonic law, the throne isn’t secure. The moment he reaches his full power, demons will follow him instead of the King."

Val’s eyes widened slightly. "Oh, shit."

Rivy whistled low. "That… would explain a lot."

Sera folded her arms, her golden and blue eyes flashing with realization. "Which means," she said, "the moment he learns of Evan’s existence…"

Lilith grinned. "He’ll either have to kill him…" she trailed off, her red eyes shining with amusement. "Or acknowledge him as the rightful ruler."

Those words settled over me. If I was really some kind of lost heir, then I wasn’t just some academy student anymore. I was a threat to the King’s rule. A target.

And there was only one way this would end.

Either I got strong enough to survive, or I ended up dead.

I exhaled sharply, my hands clenching into fists. "Fantastic."

My system showed another notification.
