Battle of Multiverse Part 7
“So, my opponent is a handsome boy.”
Nami puffed out her chest and made a pitiful expression, asking.
“Can you let your older sister win?”
Unfortunately for her, he had seen a pretty lady in a bikini when he was with Asta. And, Nami was wearing a tank top plus a skirt.
So, her seduction failed the moment she tried.
And Yuno wasn’t also a type of person to wait for the enemy to attack. The moment he realized that this was an important battle for him, he immediately attacked.
With his grimoire open, he started channeling his mana through the grimoire and activated his Wind Magic.
[Towering Tornado]
As his hand glowed green, a fierce wind appeared in front of Nami. In an instant, it turned into a massive tornado.
The force of the tornado tried to suck in Nami, but she had already sensed the attack coming.
The moment it was formed, a white cloud appeared above it and turned black.
[Lightning Descend]
As she swung her baton, she released a powerful bolt of lightning that tore through the tornado and burst it open.
As the wind scattered, Yuno immediately released a sharp crescent-shaped blade made out of wind towards Nami.
[Crescent Kamaitachi]
Its speed was extremely fast.
Nami coated her baton with Armament Haki and smashed it against the wind blade.
Bang! Crack!
The wind blade broke into pieces and dispersed.
‘It’s a good thing that I recently mastered Hardening and Entangling; otherwise I wouldn’t be prepared for this.’
At this moment, a massive horizontal tornado was rushing towards her.
It was so fast and powerful that Nami could neither resist it nor dodge it if she wasn’t prepared.
But just as she said, she was prepared for this. Channelling a large amount of lightning into the tip of the baton, she released a massive lightning bolt.
Boom!
The lightning bolt went straight towards the tornado and destroyed it before it could reach her.
‘What’s going on? Wasn’t she releasing lightning through the clouds? Could it be that it was just a ruse?’
‘More importantly, I can’t sense any elemental powers from her. So, how is she releasing so much lightning?’
‘Is it just because of that baton?’
Yuno contemplated Nami’s strength while also releasing another Tornado Fang.
With his level of mana, he could release these kinds of magic spells constantly.
He also needed to do that because he felt a dangerous power from Nami, and seeing how she turned her baton black, he couldn’t help but try to understand her powers.
But Yuno wasn’t an idiot. He knew she wouldn’t give him a chance to think. So, he kept releasing his wind magic on her.
Tornado after tornado, slash after slashes.
Just to see the limits of her power, he didn’t even hesitate to release another attack.
[Gale White Bow]
In this attack, he would create several arrows made out of wind and shoot them towards the enemy.
Because of the number of attacks, Nami couldn’t rely on her baton to deflect them, nor could she simply rely on her lightning bolts.
But using her Observation Haki, she could sense several attacks and use the temperature control of the baton to create several illusions.
Although they weren’t powerful on their own, they could distract Yuno, and with her Observation Haki, she could dodge this kind of attack.
Of course, Yuno didn’t stop there.
He even used a stronger attack, where he created a massive trident using his wind magic and attacked Nami.
Nami realized that she wouldn’t be able to block this attack with just her baton, and there was a chance that she would break it.
So, she summoned a huge tornado from her baton to slow down the trident before coating her fist with Armament Haki.
Bang!
With just a single punch, she broke the trident into the air, but this gave Yuno a proper understanding of her power.
‘It’s not enough!’
He thought to himself.
[Reinforcement Magic]
As he applied wind magic over his body, Yuno strengthened his speed and strength.
He rushed towards Nami and released a large saber made out of wind towards her.
Nami crushed it using her fist, but Yuno took this opportunity to land a decisive blow on her using his Creation Magic.
[Swift White Hawk]
Channeling his mana to create a large bird made out of wind, he used it to attack Nami at almost point-blank range.
Unfortunately, he didn’t consider her Observation Haki before launching the attack.
Nami tanked this attack using her body while she created a massive cloud above Yuno.
Before Yuno could even react, a powerful bolt of lightning rained down on him.
Bang! Boom!
Their attacks hit each other simultaneously, creating a powerful shockwave between them.
The lightning not only charred his skin but also opened wounds on his shoulder.
On the other hand, Nami was struck so hard that she flew back several meters, but unlike Yuno, her injuries were far less serious.
‘I knew it. My bet was correct. His ability to tank attack is far less than ours. No wonder that thing would make someone of his level our enemy.’
‘He is stronger, faster, and has more attacks than me. But he doesn’t have as tough a skin as I.’
Nami thought to herself as she stood up on her feet. She was certainly weaker than Yuno.
Especially with his attack potency, but she was much more durable than him.
‘Now, as long as I can land a single lightning bolt on him, this battle will end.’
Just as she thought that, she noticed a strange creature appearing next to Yuno.
It was a spirit, but she didn’t know that.
‘Who is she? She is so cute. Damn it! Not only is this guy so handsome, but he also has such a cute creature with him.’
To say Nami wasn’t gritting her teeth due to jealousy would be wrong. She certainly was.
Because she was instantly attracted by the cuteness of the spirit, so much so that she forgot about Yuno for a moment.
And Yuno took advantage of this.
He immediately used the power of the spirit to conjure a large amount of mana in front of him.
