Luffy’s Journey in Impel Down Part 16
"That, or incidents that were inconvenient for the government itself. For instance, you know how you people rampaged your way through the Levels down to Level Four?"
"Well, if you had tried just a little while ago, I doubt it would have gone quite well for you. Shiryuu of the Rain. His strength was comparable to that of Chief Warden Magellan."
"Indeed, considering the limitation Magellan has on his working hours, Shiryuu is much more dangerous of the two."
Hearing that, Galdino shook his head and said.
"No, if it were Shiryuu, we would've had an easier time. The reason why Luffy got injured is simply because he didn't have the antidote for Magellan's poison beforehand, and his Haki was consuming too quickly."
Ivankov thought for a moment and nodded.
"You are right. The main problem of fighting with Magellan is to take care of the poison. Haki can block it, but that's only temporary. Unless one can defeat him quickly, the opponent will keep getting weaker as time passes."
"Unfortunately, Shiryuu went on a massive rampage, slaughtering any number of prisoners for no good reason. As such, he was labeled a menace and was imprisoned on Level Six."
Hearing that, Bon Clay screamed.
"But I've never even heard about an incident like that! Even if it was before my time here…"
Ivankov shook his head and said.
"The most dangerous woman ever to be here in the entire age, Catarina Devon, Colossal Battleship San Juan Wolf, Mighty Drinker Vasco Shot. These are the pirates that are imprisoned on that floor."
"The kind of legendary people who caused incidents so cruel that they were suppressed from even appearing in the newspaper. That's who you'll find in Level Six."
"Your former Boss is down there as well…. He is quite a crazy one."
"Zero Chan? Crocodile?"
"Yes, I hear you fought alongside him against the Straw Hat boy in Alabasta, did you not? An interesting relationship you three have…"
As soon as he heard that, Bon Clay made a pose and said.
"Such enmities mean nothing in the face of friendship!"
"Hahahaha! Let's see… The Knight of the Sea 'Jinbei', the Shichibukai, is being held down there as well."
"What?"
"And of course, the very person your Straw Hat boy friend came here to save. The second division commander of Whitebeard Pirates, Portgas D Ace!"
"From what I heard over the communication systems, they are brother, aren't they?"
Bon Clay nodded and said.
"That's right! Straw-chan told me he came here to save that man!"
"Nnnfufufu! Successfully infiltrating Impel Down alone was a superhuman feat. But. I'm afraid now he will have to give up on that goal."
"Even with his powers, unless he has something that can help him recover quickly, the execution of that Ace-boy will start in the Marine Headquarters."
"So, let's see.. In ten hours, Ace-Boy will no longer be in Impel Down. Meanwhile, the Straw Hat boy's poisoning will take around one more day to heal."
"And, even if he survives that long, he will have to sleep for a further three days to regain his energy. By then, it will be over."
"I forgot! Luffy/Straw Chan/Straw Hat has to sleep for one more day."
Galdino, Bon Clay, and Buggy shouted at the same time.
Seeing their attitude, Ivankov said.
"A normal person could never make it! As I said, if he survives, then that will be a miracle. You need to get a little rest yourself as well, you know! Get some food into that belly of yours and then get back to bed!"
As soon as he said that, Bon Clay shouted.
"No, I'll stay here."
"Are you sure about that?"
"You shouldn't get your hopes up!"
"No, Straw Chan will survive. Since he wants to save his brother, he needs to wake up early. So, I will remind him of that."
Bon Clay stood up and walked toward the door.
He didn't look inside; instead, he spread out his arm and shouted.
"Wake up, Straw Chan! Don't give up!"
"Wake up, Straw Chan!"
Hearing his screams, Galdino and Buggy couldn't hold back their tears and rushed next to him.
They started shouting together.
"Wake up, Luffy! Ace needs you!"
"Wake up, Straw Hat! We need to escape!"
"Wake up, Luffy! Ace needs you!"
"Wake up, Straw Hat! We need to escape!"
Level Six;
"Ace-san, I don't know much about that woman, but surely, you'd be better off assuming she was lying."
Jinbei spoke.
"What, you want me to believe she came all this way just to lie to me? I'm sorry, but look, Jinbei! This is what my brother's like. He is always doing crazy stuff like this!"
"Ever since he was a kid, he has never done anything but make me worry about him. That idiot!"
Ten Hours Later;
"Chief Warden! Chief Warden Magellan, Good Morning!" Domino spoke.
"I'm on the Toilet."
"Well, please hurry! The time has arrived for Portia's D Ace to be transported to his execution!"
In Level5.5 Floor;
"His voice… It's…."
Bon Clay trembled as he spoke.
"The pain should not cease at any point during the healing process… In other words, if he stops crying at this point, it means!"
'It's a pity! Those drums of liberation... Have they disappeared as well?'
Unlike Bon Clay, she could hear more, but she couldn't hear that drum anymore.
'He should have just focused on healing. How could he be so stupid as to ease his life-force for something else!'
The more Ivankov thought about it, the angrier she got.
Crashhhhh!
Suddenly, the door started bulging out. They heard a loud crash from inside, which startled them.
"Huh?"
"Wha?"
"FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD"
A loud voice came from inside. It was Luffy screaming with all of his strength.
"Straw Chan?" "Luffy!" "Straw Hat!"
Bon Clay, Galdino, and Buggy hugged each other and cried at the same time.
"Whooooooooo!"
"Straw Hat Boy!"
The crowd went crazy with cheers.
"It's impossible, surely…. What's going on? He didn't even use his life force to heal. How could he be cured so quickly? Is this the ridiculous recovery of Mythical Zoan?"
Soon, people opened the door and started moving food into the room.
There was a lot of food, and just in case it wasn't enough, Galdino also took out the reserve food that he had saved before.
"Keep that food moving! No letting up! Bring it raw if you have to! It's quantity that matters! Quantity!"
One of the pirates was screaming in the den den mushi.
"Whoa! It's like all being sucked in like one of those antlion pits!"
"Just how long can that guy keep eating?"
"He has been like this for an hour now."
"Kama Lan is losing day's worth of provisions here."
At this moment, Ivankov muttered.
"His will to live is astounding and his strength…."
Ivankov was an Observation Haki user. She knew Luffy wasn't just healing himself, but he was also growing stronger.
But what surprised her the most was how he was squeezing out every bit of potential in his body and turning it into strength.
At this moment, Luffy was in a terrible condition.
His stomach was bloating, but his arms and legs were thin like noodles. His chest was showing bones, and his face looked old.
But suddenly, all of that food was digested in a matter of seconds. Not only had the blood on his body started to dry out, but his wounds had already healed up.
"I'm all better!!!"
Luffy raised both of his hands and roared.
"What the heck are you?"
The crowd shouted in shock.
"That's just no human!"
At this moment, Luffy saw Bon Clay, Galdino, and Buggy.
"Bon Chan, Galdino, Buggy, thank you for bringing me here!"
"Here are your clothes!"
Inazuma appeared from the side and took out his previous clothes.
"Straw Hat Boy, I have a question for you. Who is your dad?"
Ivankov walked in front of him and asked with a serious expression.
That question made him scratch his head. He didn't know if this Luffy had met Sabo or not.
But then, he remembered how this Luffy was similar to what Liam was trying to prevent.
This gave him a rough idea of the situation, so he explained.
"I know his name. He is the Dragon of the Revolution. But aside from that, I have never met him. But I am quite happy that he took care of Sabo when Sabo lost his memories during an accident."
"Sure enough! Wait, Sabo? You know Sabo?"
Ivankov's eyes widened as he asked.
"Of course, Ace, Sabo, and I are brothers. But Sabo should have lost his memories for now, so he can't remember."
Hearing that, Ivankov's eyes widened.
"How do you know that? Didn't you say you hadn't met Dragon yet?"
Luffy scratched his head and said.
"I don't know how to explain this to you. It's just like my Haki and strength. After coming to Impel Down, it has started appearing out of nowhere."
'Thank you, Robin!'
