Luffy’s Journey in Impel Down Part 10
"The air's so hot. It's cooking my lungs."
Galdino was miserably walking.
"Come on! You rode on my body. I should be the most tired one." Buggy stuck out his tongue and spoke.
At this moment, Bon Clay kept spinning and laughing.
"Hahaha! You guys are wimps! You know the old saying, 'Clear your mind of all mundane thoughts and you will find the strength to put on women's clothes'!"
"This place is a little hotter than the upper floor, huh? Yes, it is a bit hot. I feel like I am burning up just a bit."
"It's sooo hot!"
Suddenly, Bon Clay could no longer bear and started smoking from his nose.
"You're only making things worse."
Luffy, Buggy, and Galdino roared at the same time.
"Huh?"
Luffy smelled something good and immediately ran in that direction.
"This way! C'mon!"
"Hey! Where are you going?"
"Wait! Straw is heading towards the Kitchen and I'm starving!"
Bon Clay jumped and followed along.
Buggy and Galdino also followed them.
"It's Straw Hat and his accomplishments!"
"Take them down
"Woah! There are so many of them."
Smelling the food and seeing so many people coming towards him, Luffy screamed.
"I just need to eat and I'll be ready for anything."
[Gomu Gomu No]
Luffy curved into a ball, spun, and launched his legs and feet in all directions, attacking all of them at once.
"Argh!" "Gasp! Gasp!" Ugh!"
[Fireworks]
At this moment, Galdino suddenly grabbed Luffy using his wax power and made him stop.
"Stop, Straw Hat!"
"Galdino, what's wrong?"
Even though he was stopped from eating, Luffy didn't get angry; instead, he curiously asked.
Galdino pointed at his surroundings and said.
"Take a good look! There are a lot of guards, and they're well-organized! Level 4 is supposed to be filled with screams, but nobody's feeding the fire, and prisoners aren't trying to escape!"
"And, look how guards are moving around in formations! Something's up! We have to find a hiding place, analyze the situation, and then take action."
"Otherwise, if we fight them head-on in this kind of condition, we will be toast."
Hearing that, Luffy casually smiled and patted Galdino's shoulder.
"Don't worry! These guards aren't that strong. If we really fall in a pinch, I will use my Conqueror Haki to knock them down so we can escape!"
Galdino hurriedly shook his head and said.
"That's not what I am worried about. We are tired and can't use our powers that easily. You are also tired. The thing I'm most afraid of isn't these guards."
"It's Warden Magellan!"
Just when he said that, Luffy's eyes shrank.
He was careless. For a moment, he didn't even see his enemy coming. A drop of poison fell from above.
He was able to pull Galdino out of the way and retreat, but the enemy landed just in front of him.
"Magellan!"
Bon Clay, Buggy, and Galdino screamed at the same time. They were scared to death by this guy while Luffy started sweating.
If he were an inexperienced boy, he wouldn't have worried this much.
But this guy was a monster. Maybe not as strong as the Admirals, but definitely closer to them.
The only reason Luffy didn't consider him an Admiral Level was because of his lack of strong Haki.
As an Emperor of Sea, Luffy could easily see someone's Haki strength. Once Haki was unlocked, it was almost visible to people's eyes.
Just like Higuma, who couldn't see Shanks's Haki, he considered him weak and insulted him.
Shanks didn't care, and Luffy also learned from that. But he also understood why Higuma couldn't see Shanks' strength.
While people like Mihawk could easily see Zoro's strength.
The determining factor was Haki. The stronger one's Haki was, the more desperate people would feel.
That's why Vice Admirals wouldn't think of fighting against the Emperors of the Sea, while Admirals have no problem taking a few shots at them.
Just like how Luffy could gauge his strength, Magellan could also see Luffy's strength, especially his Haki.
"No wonder you were able to take down jailers, criminal scum! Your bounty is too low for someone of your strength."
Magellan spoke.
As soon as he started speaking, those injured guards stood up and said.
"Oh, no! We gotta get away from here. Huff! Huff!"
"This heat is unbearable. It really is like an inferno down here."
Magellan could feel the venom coming down his body. The venom was burning the ground.
"Warden Magellan! Wait, Please!"
The guards crawled away while Luffy stood his ground and stared at Magellan.
Seeing Magellan, Bon Clay shouted.
"Straw Hat Chan, don't fight him! That's Magellan. He has the power of Venom-Venom Fruit. We have to run. He's too dangerous!"
"Yes, Luffy! You have not recovered yet. Let's run away!"
Galdino gulped heavily and said.
"It's not the problem of running away. The problem is, can we run away from this monster?"
Buggy started shaking in fear as he spoke.
Luffy took a deep breath and said.
"Buggy, Galdino, Bon Clay, three of you, run away! I will buy you some time."
Hearing his words, Magellan narrowed his eyes and said.
"For you to break into this impregnable prison is sullying my reputation. I know why you're here! I won't allow you to reach Portgas D Ace."
"But I am curious. How did you manage to get in here anyway? Never mind! I'll get that information from you later."
He clenched his fist, and the venom dripped down.
"You won't be getting anything from me."
Luffy's fist was immediately coated with Armament Haki.
[Hydra]
Magellan released his poison, turning into a nine-headed dragon that rushed towards Luffy.
[Gomu Gomu No]
Luffy stretched out his arm and retracted at an unimaginable speed, bursting his fist with flames as he dashed forward and punched out.
[Blazing Nova]
The flame on his fist turned into a massive sun as it tore through his venom and stared burning it on the spot.
Boom!
The collision of fire and venom resulted in a massive explosion that destroyed the bridge.
Fortunately, Luffy retreated on time, while Magellan had no enter his venom and use it to transport himself towards Luffy.
Luffy slid for a few minutes before coming to a stop.
"Your powers are rubber, right? But you can make such a hot flame. This shouldn't even be possible with Armament Haki."
Magellan asked.
When Luffy struck him with that Blazing Nova, his hydra was almost evaporated on the spot, but the gas released by the poison caused an explosion that took out most of the power of that flame.
"Who knows? Your poison is strong."
Luffy said while trying to keep his Observation Haki open.
At this moment, three guys were running like hell.
They were running away, but while running, Bon Clay stopped.
"No, we can't run away like this. If we leave him alone, he will die here. At least three of us can distract him long enough for Straw Hat Chan to launch a decisive blow."
"Are you crazy? Didn't you hear that explosion? That's not a battle we can participate in. We will die for sure."
Buggy grabbed Bon Clay by his collar and shouted.
"But if we don't help him, he will die. He is my friend, and I will not leave my friend behind."
Bon Clay knew he wouldn't be able to play any role in this battle.
But with his fruit, he might have a shot at distracting Magellan long enough.
At this moment, Galdino became thoughtful.
He didn't care much about Luffy. His goal was to escape this prison, and Luffy was the key figure in this escape.
In other words, they must keep him alive.
"You are right, Bon."
"Huh? What? You are siding with him. I thought we were partners. I thought we were gonna run away together."
Buggy's jaw almost dropped to the ground when he saw his partner teaming up with Bon Clay.
At this moment, Galdino waved his hand and said.
"I don't care about his friendship, but Straw Hat is a key for our escape. Without him, we can't escape from this prison. So, he must remain alive."
"Of course, we also need to survive first to escape. So, we can't go there like this."
"First, we need to get some food."
Hearing that, Bon Clay's eyes lit up.
"Yeah, we need food. If Straw Hat Chan can eat a lot of meat, he will recover quickly. Let's go get some meat!"
Galdino stopped him and said.
"Who said we are gonna get food looking like this?"
He said while pointing at his prison uniform.
"We need a makeover. Most importantly, you need to change. Let's go! We are gonna find someone."
Hearing that, Buggy was confused. He felt like Galdino had some kind of amazing plan, but he didn't know what it was.
On the other hand, his old partner, Bon Clay, immediately understood his plan and asked.
"Who?"
