Chapter 194- Unexpected meeting-1
Inside the car, Koori was quite nervous.
When she calmed down, the memories of last time began flooding back. The memories of being held by Kasumi, those sweet and…passionate moments.
She started thinking about it all over again.
Glancing at her, Koori couldn't help but feel her heart racing.
Wearing a white shirt and waist-high black pants, she gave a very crisp and dashing look. Her long hair was tied in a rough bun but that only elevated her charm.
Maybe she sensed her gaze as she glanced at Koori and said, “If you are going to stare that much, I might as well park the car on the side.”
Koori fidgeted, “I-I am sorry for distracting you.”
Kasumi chuckled, “It's nothing to be bothered about. Well, where do you want to go? Shopping?”
Koori tilted her head, “Weren't we going somewhere you planned?”
Kasumi grinned, “Quite the eager you are, Koori.” the pink head blushed in embarrassment as she heard Kasumi adding, “Well, we are going there in the evening. For now, let's do something you like.”
Koori blinked and then asked, “We went shopping the last time too…is there no place you like?”
Kasumi hummed, thinking for a moment, “Well, I like traditional cafes. And I know a perfect place where we could enjoy some peaceful moments.”
Koori smiled, “I would love to go there.”
…
It took them twenty minutes to reach the traditional tea shop situated in the East block.
The outer appearance of the establishment gave the impression of a traditional minka.
They walked through the small garden, their heels clacking on the stony path.
“There is a pond there…” Koori muttered as she saw a beautiful pond in the corner.
The whole place felt so calm and relaxing that she felt she had come to a whole different world.
Seeing the girl enthusiastically looking around, Kasumi couldn't help but smile fondly.
‘Adorable…’
They soon entered the cafe and standing there was a beautiful woman in her thirties, wearing a golden black kimono as she bowed her head, “Welcome, customers.”
Kasumi said, “I have made a reservation for a private room.”
The lady asked, “Can you show me your ID?”
Kasumi nodded before taking out her wallet and showing her ID.
Inwardly, the brunette thought, ‘Thankfully, I had Chinatsu prepare this…’
The lady confirmed it before saying, “Please follow me.”
The duo started walking, Koori holding the hem of Kasumi’s shirt.
Kasumi looked at her before asking, “Are you perhaps nervous?”
Koori ducked her head, her cheeks faintly red, “I-I mean..I didn't dress properly to be here.”
She was wearing a bright colored skirt…and the atmosphere here required more of an elegant look.
On the other hand, Kasumi’s appearance could work everywhere.
‘She is so admirable…’ Koori couldn't help but wonder when she would get such a dressing sense and maturity as her.
Kasumi suddenly held her hand, interlacing her fingers with Koori’s as she said, “Forget about the world. To me, you are the most adorable one.”
Koori’s heart skipped a beat hearing those words as her bright eyes looked up to match hers.
The lady who was leading them, couldn't help but giggle inwardly seeing how compatible the couple was.
*Slide*
Sliding open the door, the woman said, “Please enjoy your stay.”
Kasumi nodded before they stepped inside and the lady closed the door.
There was a small table set near the sliding shoji door, opening to a sunlit courtyard where a koi pond gleamed under the clear sky, its surface broken by the gentle drip of a bamboo water spout. The wooden veranda creaked softly in the breeze, and the scent of fresh tatami filled the air.
Koori couldn't help but smile in contentment sitting here.
“Do you like it here?”
Koori hurriedly nodded, “Very much! I have never been to a place like this before.”
Kasumi chuckled, “Well, I also don't visit places like these. Just a few times with clients.”
Koori’s ears peeked, “Oh, right…you run an underwear brand, right? What's the name?”
Kasumi froze for a moment…it wasn't like she hadn't thought of a name, but the problem was…what if she searched about it on the internet?
Saving Kasumi from her predicament, Koori's phone buzzed.
She checked it and said, “It's from my friend.”
Kasumi wordlessly urged her to pick the call.
“Chiaki-chan…ah, yes…”
As Koori talked to her friend, Kasumi decided that this lie wouldn't last if she didn't actually make a real identity for herself.
Minoru hasn't decided to reveal himself in front of her anytime soon. Koori loves Kasumi not Minoru and he knew how devastated she would be to find out that Kasumi has been lying to her about her identity.
That's why she needs to make a real background for herself.
While on the call, Koori noticed that Kasumi had a troubled look on her face, urging her to disconnect the call early.
“I am really sorry…it was important.”
Kasumi, who has been busy thinking about her own things, was startled by the sudden apology.
Then, shaking her head, she assured the girl, “It's totally fine. I was just…well, forget about that. Let's order something.” Changing the subject, she pressed the bell given at the corner of the table.
And not so long after, someone entered the room.
“Ah yes, we would like to-” Kasumi, who was about to give the order, froze in shock.
Koori froze as well as her eyes landed on the person who just entered.
The boy as well, was shocked to see the pink head.
A moment of heavy silence and then, Koori called out, “Naoko?!”
