Chapter 259 – Poison in the Forest

*** Vanya ***

Shyla alerted us that Alzi was crying this morning. But of course, I won't be the one checking in on her. No, that'll be Elora or Inanos. Why let another woman try to see if they can get Alzi to actually like them?

I guess Alzi seems to like Inanos, and maybe she likes Elora after having been forced to share a room with her for a while. But how stupid is it that we don't even know how we stand with our own husband? I should at least know if Alzi likes me or would call me to her bed.

With her ability, she could own our wombs if she wanted. But as it is, I don't know if I should be looking to find other men to get me pregnant or if I can count on her letting me carry some kids for her. We don't even know if she'll stick around after the war.

No, as the weakest warrior, I get to run around the battlefield all day, doing the fighting. Elora is at least pregnant, but couldn't Geta fight more often? Do they even have someone that can counter her?

I guess that's the problem. They'll have to swarm her, and then I'll be out here anyway to bail her out again. In a fighting retreat, that would get some noble on our side killed again.

They just have to have an answer for why I'm running around nonstop, constantly trampling through the damn forest to get where I'm going.

"Hmm, you're not supposed to be out here yet," a voice cuts through my thoughts. "No, not yet. Coming early is a great way to ruin the date, you know."

"I'm not a man," I say, raising my sword.

"No, but some will throw away an easy woman. Now, what do you think that sword is going to do to poison?" Azula De Vil asks. Even with winter causing most of the trees and bushes to drop their leaves, there's still enough cover to hide her away.

There has to be some distance between us, or I'd be dead already, and these small trees can't hide her without that. Damn, the Evergreens mean she should have a good amount of coverage, even up close. I pull out the flare and shoot it up into the sky.

"Everyone knows you're here in the flesh now," I say. "Not just some trap you laid out. Your Queen, or lover, is going to lose even more ground now. The flanks are closing in. Why not tell us how much it'll cost to make you fight for the winning side?"

"Are you the winning side? Yes, my Queen isn't strong enough to fight back Yumanea. None of us are, really, but are you sure we won't walk away with exactly what we want? Think I didn't know I could sneak it right out from under your nose? I could even have you foaming at the mouth right now. But I want more, and you are bringing them right to me. The early bird may catch the worm, but there has to be a worm out to catch."

"We have the right mages to get you," I say. I need to find out where this fucker is. This is our best chance to capture or kill this bitch.

"Are you sure? How many traps are around here? What are all my Skills? Who else is here?" Her words float around me. Elyne better be at the front of the pack, or I may not be any use in this fight. "You should make sure Alzi is ready to come running out here to save you all again. Maybe this time, the women will be ready to grab the prize."

"You won't take her."

"No, I would never come that close to you all. But I have others who are more than willing."

I slash out to the right, my sword striking metal. Just a knife. Was it Azula or someone else with her?

"Question everything. Am I even here? Is this really a forest? What if everyone is already dying on the battlefield while you listen to a ghost?"

"NO! Someone is here, and I will take your head!" I scream out. I feel someone's presence, but who is it?

I send another slash out in front of me, this time hoping to cut down some of the trees and see who I'm fighting.

"You won't get me like that. Put some power behind it."

If she was here, I'd be poisoned by now, right? Am I poisoned?

"There you go. The wide eyes of one who isn't sure they're living in reality anymore. Are you fighting me, or are you fighting your wives?"

"You. I'm fighting you. They would've put me down by now," I mumble. Shimmer gave us all a rune to shoot fire out around us, and I need to clear some space quickly. She must need wind to push the poison to me from her hiding spot. Just a trickle of mana is required to activate the rune. It shatters in my hand before a ring of fire blasts around me, clearing out the snow and trees. Twenty feet around me is cleared out in an instant, yet I still can't see my target.

"Dangerous. Dangerous girl. You could've killed your wives with that."

She has to be behind me, or she would've run by now. I just keep facing forward and count on my wife to take her. There's no need to spook her partner into starting a fight until I get some help myself.

"You're a troublesome girl. Most would've moved at least an inch by now. Just standing in the middle of a new clearing for what? So your wives can run into my traps?"

"So you can't move," I say. One of my wives must be close by now, unless they're waiting for more help. If only Shimmer could just clear out the forest.

"I can move."

"Then do it."

Her partner comes out swinging to my left this time.

I finally sense the second presence, and it darts behind me. A cloud of green fills my vision before my lungs burn, but my sword finds flesh, meaning I missed parrying my opponent's strike. Her sword strikes hard against my back. I stumble forward, swinging wildly, hoping for some luck. My lungs struggle to take in air. Instead, they seem to breathe in fire.

"ELORA! GET HER OUT OF HERE!" Geta shouts. I guess I won't have to worry about hitting my wives anymore. My arms refuse to move, and my vision darkens as fire fills my lungs. Why did Elora come back out here?

*** Alzi ***

I only got to heal a few more of the commoners before the nobles started to trickle in. I think most of the enemy noble deaths have been their fire mages, which seems like it would be really bad for morale. They must be the ones helping to keep the commoners from getting frostbite, right?

It does make it easy for me, though, not having to handle skinning women alive before healing them. I sometimes just cut the body part off and remade it. It took about the same time and mana, but the patients generally weren't too happy to lose a limb, even for a short period. They didn't voice their complaints too loud, but they did voice them. So, I can only do it if there are other things wrong with the limb.

"VANYA'S COMING IN POISONED!" Elora shouts.

"Kali, take over if you can. Otherwise, call me," I say. I just chopped off a noble's arm due to their burns, and it would be kind of bad if I left her like that. Kali and Esta still can't regrow a limb and still have mana left afterward, but they can skin a woman and regrow some of her skin.

"You need to get this one, Lady Alzi," Kali says. "I'll take over."

"Ok," I say. Shyla helps me out of the chair. Turning around, I see why I was asked to take over. Vanya is foaming at the mouth, her muscles spasming, and her body looks a touch grey.

I strip myself and Vanya and get ready to get all three of the warriors in the family pregnant. Vanya is going to need the extra burst of healing if she wants a chance at living. Someone puts up a screen, and I start.

"Vanya was a virgin?" I ask. Well, state, really.

"I guess we never played with each other much," Elora says. "Please focus on healing her. Please, Alzi."

"I am. I can have sex and talk. This is the second wife I'm fucking for the first time while they're about to die."

"Sorry," the Princess says. "I've failed so many of our relationship things. I don't want any of you to die before I get the chance to make it right."

So I can die after she figures out how to make me like her? Well put, Princess.

"Shyla, give me her hand," I say. I can't reach down to kiss her with my belly in the way.

"Yes, my Lady," Shyla says. The hand is still shaking as it comes to my lips, but not quite as violently as before. A bit of color has returned to her face, yet she's still foaming at the mouth.

My kiss shows she's still poisoned, and most of her organs are still on the brink of collapse. Shyla takes my lips, her hands cupping my head.

"My Lady," Shyla whispers. "Your body is divine." Elora directs one of my hands to one of her now free tits, which even grows a bit in my hand.

"I'm still making milk for your children, my Love," Elora says.

Am I supposed to focus on healing my wife or on trying to fuck my owner and maid?

"Our little one aches for you to fill my womb with more children," Elora continues. "She wants little sisters and maybe even a brother. Please, fill us up with your mana and kids, my love."

My hips move faster, needing to get to the stupid Princess. My hand slips to her belly. The smallest bump is present, her muscles fighting to remain defined over the child.

I fill Vanya up, and I don't stop. She needs more, and the bonus of her being pregnant will help me. But more will come if Elora keeps this up.

...

Sorry, Vanya. They made me do it. They kept begging for kids, but I couldn't put my dick in them. But at least you'll live. If the old Aurora can handle it, I think you can as well.

"Elora! Azula De Vil is coming in!" Geta shouts.

The Princess throws on a gown and steps past the curtain. Shyla helps me down off the bed and into my own dress. Vanya will have to rest naked for a bit.

"Alzi, you need to heal her," Elora says. "Please."

"I'm not healing that Shifty bitch!" I say. "I've got so many other people to heal who actually deserve it."
