Chapter 195: Ruphas is Dead

After me, Urduja also followed us to Sisa's temporary room, She has a duty to tell what happened to Crispin and Basilio, well, as anyone can observe, they have turned into splendid murderers in their early mid twenties, so this thing is for formalities only.

"Oh, they're already awake."

Urduja, who had just stopped beside me, said, looking at the squirming trio with their muddled eyes. What caught my attention, however, was that the moment the twins landed their eyes on me, they widened and frowned before looking at their adoptive and biological mother, but they did not say anything; instead, it was Sisa who spoke.

"In my whole life as an assassin, I would have never imagined that the enemies I once opposed would be the ones that will give me the chance to see my children again... thank you, Lady Sophia, Lady Urduja."

As Sisa looked at us, at me, specifically with gratitude, Crispin and Basilio has this unsettling gaze towards me, well, I knew why they are like that, first I am the one who coaxed Myra to die, and second, it is most probable that Sisa have mentioned what we agreed on, that is weird.

But, as all of you might have expected, Myra dying and me being the sugar mommy of Sisa is something the time loop, somehow, marks as a canon event, and it has to happen after Myra died and Sisa was captured, is time just after drama? Such are my thoughts when Urduja started speaking about how did she find Crispin and Basilio and how did they gr0w up, how did they find solace on Myra and how saddened they are when she died, I even felt kind of scared because Urduja's palace started to rumble upon mentioning my mom's death, her body started radiating gravitational nuclear reaction-tier of heat and her voice started to sound like it has a glitch text font.

Well, I can always escape and have a round two with her, but still, I don't like fighting my mother-in-law; I don't even like her ogling at me.

I sighed in relief when the story was finally over, and then interjected.

"Before we leave, I would like to request Aoi to help Sisa remove her psychological problems induced by her departure with her children... I will bear the cost."

Well, I said after the war, but I have to make the appointment beforehand.

Hearing this, Urduja nodded and then spoke.

"You don't need to pay for anything, however, Aoi is busy today and will just be ready before the invasion of Apolaki, so Momoiro will make do."

Urduja once again pulled out a comm. Crystal out of nowhere while I can't help but turn skeptical, as [Perfect Simulation] suggests, she is one, alongside the twins in front of me and Warden that are closest to Myra, they are like the way for my mother, before her death, to atone for her sins against me... I can't help but feel guilty, even though all the things have to happen because the time loop wanted them to happen, and whether or not I intervened is not what I can currently control.

_Well, she's a horrible mother for me... It's all a matter of perspective, I guess._

I can only console myself as such and as I did, Momoiro's forehead eye peaked out of the door and upon seeing me, the eye widened and hurriedly pulled back, after a while, the daughter of the almost exploding Urduja finally opened the door, looking as emotionless and indifferent as ever, I smiled at her out of greeting, yet she just gave me a glance of one of her eyes in her shoulders.

How cold... I should "apologize" later.

Anyway, upon entering the room, Momoiro looked at her brother who are, most probably uncharacteristically hugging the same woman (they are assassins, you know), she tilted her head in bewilderment, but before any speculations appeared in her mind, Urduja tapped her shoulders with her big hands, dispelling the imaginative brain of Momoiro.

"This lady here was helped by Sophia to be reunited with her children, that is, coincidentally, was saved by me a few years back; her name is Sisa."

After Sisa and Momoiro was introduce to each other and after I have to hear a "But if it's her mother she have to die?" murmur of Momoiro, Urduja started to say her circumstances, she did this so that Momoiro will temporarily not talk to me as she need some time to forgive me of what I have made Myra do. After Urduja fully explained the circumstances of Sisa, Momoiro agreed to treat her illness almost without hesitation, which makes me wonder if psychological problems of this world can be cured using these brainiacs called dodomekis.

The treatment is simple, Momoiro will hold the temples of Sisa, let her powers permeate in her brain, causing Sisa to roll back her eyes as she felt her brain being pierced by something, this scene lasted for about a minute with Crispin and Basilio holding the two hands of their mother in the process. Seemingly afraid that their mom won't be able to hold out such eye-rolling treatment, but how could that be? Sisa was so strong to not die despite going insane for so many years and even competed with Hebi with pseudo-hero prospect-level power while she's at it, surely she would be fine.

And fine, she did become, as Sisa's eyes that still had some haze even though appearing normal due to my illusion finally turned clear, her faint smile looked like it came from her new resurrected self, shimmering with newfound brilliance, and felt like the most beautiful of gardens.

"Thank you, Lady Momoiro."

She glanced at her back while Sisa thanked the dodomeki, and the latter nodded simply.

"I think Sisa has already told you my conditions, right? I am actually in quite a hurry as Urduja, I will be participating in the war that has the whole Genesis at stake, so I will let you immediately choose, Crispin and Basilio, will you go with me or will you stay here for a while?"

Sisa, Crispin, and Basilio looked at each other before nodding.

"We... have to discuss our transfer of nationalities to mother Urduja as we are the heads of her intelligence and assassination department... however, we also want to reunite with mother Sisa... can you leave her here for a while?"

Urduja's face lit up a little at this as if saying "nice assist my children", unfortunately, fuck no, if this is a canon event then I would throw hands with Eris right here, right now, she better put them up immediately or she will receive a right hook from the same race that birthed to the first 8 division world champion the moment she appears in front of me.

"... I'm not sure if she's truly safe here... but, don't worry, I will give you this."

As I said that, I wriggled my right fingers a little and produced a rip in the 4th dimension and grabbed two papers with pentagrams on them at my office.

"If you ever got jinxed without Urduja by your side, you can escape through this, come to my queendom, and maybe I can do something with the threat... though I doubt there will be someone stupid enough to have the guts to do something against the children of Sisa, Urduja and Sophia."

I then smiled a melancholic one.

"You two are so lucky to have three mothers... I only have one..."

I sighed at this, causing all people in the room to avert their gaze towards me awkwardly, well, it's a good thing that this is not a cannon event, so we said temporary goodbyes before we go back to Kamatayan, and in there, I have received the news I have been anticipating, yet reluctant to accept, in my mind, [Guide] and Bakunawa rang out simultaneously.

"Ruphas is dead!"(Bakunawa)

"He's dead." [Guide]

Sigh... I knew this would happen, but still...

I pondered for a moment if I have to find a way to tell Eleanor to not kill Hebi, but because Eleanor is a new hero and might have to go all out just to fight Hebi, I refrained, afraid that my first wife will get in danger...

_Fuck all this canon event._

Sisa, who had her arms latched onto mine, wanting to fulfill the lover role early on, noticed my frown and then whispered into me.

"Is there something wrong, Lady Sophia?"

I looked at her and she smiled as I said: "Nothing... let's go prepare for the invasion."

You know what? I can make Ruphas stand up again, so I just have to make do with him being grey.

Thinking of that, I made Sisa go to my arsenal to pick new weapons. I then used the 4th dimension to see the corpse of my goat.

[3rd Person POV]

The orders of Urduja's god is to help Sophia cram everything she have to do inside Gjallarhorn as fast as possible, so Urduja immediately ordered the priority summons of her children that are close to Crispin and Basilio, as for the orders, Urduja have started questioning the god of the sun, but Sinag seem to be confident that his hero will be able to learn of it on her own, so Urduja did not pursue, Crispin and Basilio did not dally either, afraid that once again, they will be separated with their biological mother, they thanked Urduja, Momoiro, Warden their other siblings and the wives of Urduja for accepting them warmly, soon, they used the paper given to them by Sophia to arrive at Kamatayan.

Usually, Sophia is polite and hospitable to her visitors, but because she's preparing for a war, she is nowhere to be seen, and Crispin and Basilio were immediately commanded not to fight in the war, in which, without them even noticing, they immediately agreed.

One can say that illusions can really work wonders.

However, of course, Urduja, with her perpetually stone-faced child, Momoiro, is not aware of this; instead, the latter asked her mother.

"Why... not even a punch or slap for Sophia?"

Momoiro was really frustrated to this otherwise fascinating lady such as Sophia, yet, because Sophia's action is like picking out the last bones in one's throat and the fact that she can't do anything but stare a second more than normal against the officially smartest mortal in the planet that has created earth trembling explosions, she even have to be careful to not look at Sophia wrong as she is not one to be able to gauge emotions if she can't read the mind of a person, she didn't do anything that antagonizes the fallen hero.

She just knew that Sophia never looked at her decision like it was wrong but necessary, for the woman, her will is always right.

Urduja, who is eating a slice of cake after a day of being part of Soho's team (1), remained silent, though the slowing down of her fork and her trembling hand came as a shock for Momoiro, making her tilt her head.

"... Because I am a coward compared to Myra."

[Sophia's POV]

In front of me is the body of a giant goat, in the neck wherein the head was severed, several magical threads suddenly appeared and then shoot themselves towards the head that is adjacent to the body, forcibly dragging it back, alongside such a strange phenomenon was accompanied by Ruphas' body becoming grey, Bakunawa and I looked at this, with Bakunawa becoming increasingly worried about Eleanor even though she will still not pursue her because of my illusion, I can only make myself look calm, the [Perfect Simulation] can't be deceived, so I knew that Eleanor will not die even during the "failure" part of the plan, but I can't tell Bakunawa this for she might consciously break the pre-destined course of the time loop for her.

That would make the plan fail before I intend it to be.

"Sigh... I thought I would be free from fights..."

Ruphas, as expected of his lazy ass did not immediately stand up, instead looked at me with a mix of disappointment and gratitude.

This goat is lazy, unlike the woman that had the same name as her, well, it's a herbivore that can't be hunted by predators, so he have all the bragging rights to be lazy. Anyway, with some simple greetings and me making Bakunawa prepare for the invasion of Apolaki, I stationed Ruphas near the waters of Stardust as I went and visited the conjoined navy of Stardust and Kamatayan.

During the entirety of the Second Elven-Undead war, these navy produced warships without rest, well, four days is certainly a short day to create warships, if this world doesn't have magic, slapping some magic circle to wood planks to make them float and nail themselves together and then coating them with magic metals by processing those said materials the same way will make us create hundreds of warships in a single night.

The design of the warships is very human (undead?), and it's very easy to use.

And in the main mothership wherein the admiral is stationed, I am looking at a giant table with a corpse on it, it was of a girl with her heart ripped out, Yamato Mamorite, one of the heroes of the Leviticus continent.

I would appreciate her brother more, but he was already reduced to carbon, and I can't resurrect someone who can only become fuel for my barbecue stand.

Thinking of that, I started to resurrect her.
