Chapter 193: Sugar Mommy Sophia

Sisa's eyes glimmered with hope as she looked at me, for her, anything or anyone that can give her even the slight opportunity of meeting her children, whether true or not is something worth hearing out, but of course, now that she has her mental problems pushed backed from the forefront of her brain, the moment Sisa saw the operating table as well as the green colored doctors that are sterilizing the surgical equipments, plus the strange looking device on the table adjacent to the operating table, her hopeful expression dimmed down as apprehension overtook it, her hands clutched the bed slightly and there I can feel that she's feeling the 4th dimension and is relieved that she can use her powers again.

Well, I can handle her even with all those talents in space magic, so I did not bother resealing Sisa. Besides, resealing her might make the mana being administered by the arc reactor explode within him; sealing means blocking entry and exit, after all.

"What are those for?"

Sisa started to inch away from me, though I know that she is well aware that I can jump at her anytime, she is still very adamant on surviving, at least until she was once again reunited with her children, how inviable those two are, I hope they didn't put deodorant when they reunited with Sisa.

Anyway, in order for me to help Sisa, I have to explain things to her.

"Well, do you know what is inside those chests of yours?"

I smiled, making Sisa tilt her head a little, however, because I presume that she had a moment of clarity right after her defeat, I know that she knew of the artificial hero prospect crystal, and indeed, after a second or so of contemplation, Sisa nodded, I then walked away from her and wore my PPE for the surgery above my gown, after I which, I continued.

"Then, this would be an easier explanation... You see, as you know, the way the king of elves and the king of the underworld controls you is through your mental illness and the drunk debuff of the artificial hero prospect crystal, and even now that I temporarily suppressed them, these condition persists and also... you seem to have a psychiatrist friend before? Anyway, the debuff is still there and is accelerating the reemergence of the problems your brain has."

I paused for a moment and then leaned on the operating table and then pointed at the medium sized machinery in its side, it has a circular teeth and has a long wire with different small sub wires, this is the ones that will connect to the blood vessels and the main wire will be administering mana, at first, I was afraid of using it as a mana storage and artificial heart to living people because there is no way in hell that I can connect individual blood vessels that are clinging on muscles and bones to this device, look, even though the 4 nearest blood vessels to the heart big, they are only big relative to their peers, it's not so big that one doesn't need specialty in surgery to do something like this, and I am a physicist, not a doctor despite learning surgery because I want to have a second Dr. in medicine, you know for clout of being a teenager surgeon or something.

I am confident, but everything should have a limit... before, that is the consequences, but now that I can control atoms, so to hell with insecurity.

"This device is what I called the arc reactor, it uses special magic circles that we, the undeads have painstakingly formulated for a long time, this magic circle is used by the machine to syphon mana and turn it into pure energy, this energy is called "Planck", it's practically mana, but is more... hmm... say "stable", anyway, it is confirmed to be the driving force of the laws of the universe, this machine uses such sacred energy to pump mana and with some modification, blood throughout the body."

I can't say we didn't even take a year to make such a revolutionary machine come into existence. Sisa's eyes widened in surprise, or maybe doubt, though of course I ignored such doubts and continued.

"With this, we can remove the defective crystal within you alongside its debuff. This will weaken you, but even without it, you're already strong, so you don't have to worry... well, of course, all of this has to have your consent."

I smiled, this time I don't need any illusion to make Sisa say yes, she is a hopeless romantic for her children, thus the hope I gave her earlier is still there in her eyes as well as the understanding despite her being slightly drunk that she can put her children in danger if this hope was fulfilled and her mental problems are not yet resolved, so after a not so deep contemplation on the benefit of this surgery, she inquired.

"What will you get in return for helping me?"

There is no respect for such a question at all. Well, first, she's a pure assassin who doesn't engage in double identity infiltration because she can just always kill them with space magic, it's quite refreshing, I can't help but smile.

"Well, I have two ideas in mind as I am not a volunteer, if you are still willing to, you can participate in the war for the Apolaki's invasion, and if you're not, you can become one of my lovers, I would love to test my sex morphing abilities, so..."

I trailed at that as Sisa went into deep contemplation, though soon, she finally noticed the peculiarity of my proposition.

"Why do you need me in a war? You already have two heroes, and I am just someone who has a stronger foundation because of my natural space magic affinity compared to others... that doesn't seem logical..."

At that question, I propped a bitter smile and then replied.

"... You see, before I become this strong, I was once an orphan who is lucky enough to have a god look at me with fancy, he gave me the ability to turn people I killed into undeads and even though I do not detest this ability, I, in my subconscious still years for a living, breathing family, thus I established the city of the living, the one you have tried to invade, despite me knowing that they will be outpaced in terms of utility compared to the undeads. Now, I can only sell them off to Urduja, someone who is meant to be the ruler of the living in Genesis and will make my people showcase their true abilities, and to give some "leverage" to the prideful generals of mine, I made it a condition that all soldiers that died during the war will be turned into an undead, and even though I already made a precautionary illusion to make them not consider the suicide option, I still want you to monitor them, and if somehow, someway, they still intended to do kill themselves in purpose, you have to murder their enemy immediately."

I explained in one breath, and Sisa was shocked, well, surely, she knew how nonsensical such arrangements for someone who killed and outsmarted the world's smartest man are, thus she couldn't help but ask.

"You... can just order them to kill themselves, right? That way, you can have strong soldiers..."

This person is a soldier too, after all, so she is hardwired to kill herself if her king said so, though of course, she doesn't understand my motives.

"But, that's not what they like... they wanted to be alive, they wanted to be the representative of the life cycle, the one before death, and I don't want to test their loyalty by making them turn back on their aspirations... it may sound stupid, but still, a queen can act stupid all she wants, right?"

I smiled at such a remark, well, there are things that one would justify as stupid and be proud of it, though hearing me, even Sisa was shocked, she looked at me with squinted eyes as if wanting to see through the layers of my personality, I hope I can see through the layers of your clothes too, Sisa.

Well, I can't say that now, can I? In any case, if you think about it, me and Sisa are kind of synchronous, one is abandoned by a negligent mother and one is a mother that is the very opposite of negligent, she even went crazy and apparently, according to my simulations destroyed a 4th of a district the day she found out her sons are dead.

The woman in front of me is still looking at me as if in deep contemplation of what she has to say.

"I... I agree to your suggestion, I will fight my last war for you just because of the little lead you have given me about my children, also because you will help me prevent endangering them if I do find them... and... in the case that we really reunite..."

Sisa, who is looking at me with eyes of resolution suddenly waivered as her face turned pale, I might be able to use [Perfect Simulation] here, but I choose not to as it's more interesting that way, and it's not like I was not able to guess something this simple, so I patiently waited for Sisa to once again regain her composure and with one last gulp, she finally regained her courage to look at me in the eyes.

"If... if that is to happen, then I will accept your second condition, becoming one of your lovers..."

Upon hearing that, my eyebrows shoot up rather involuntarily, she really said it, as expected, I'm not really angry per say, but Sisa who knew of how I was able to defeat Aerendil (by the virtue of my presence with her) misunderstood this action of mine, using her rather perky butt and long legs, she crawled to the other of the bed while facing me, the sweat on her face dripping all over her oversized hair and clothes.

"P-please, don't misunderstand... I don't like to take advantage of you, however... the moment you have appeared in front of me, it's just a normal inquiry to think that Tydings is not our home anymore and now, I'm a jobless militant who is very good at killing other people and all of my civilian skills have been wiped out from my skill set as I almost live to kill someone and never had the chance to relive my hobbies..."

Sisa looked at me, fear is evident on her eyes, yet in that fear, she refused to yield, well, I'm not particularly mad about this like I said earlier, but still, again, I wish I have a mother that can face a hydrogen bomb for some milk and diapers, such were my thoughts as I continued to wait for her to continue.

"... I... I still need to somehow find a way for my children to also have the option to stop fighting..."

Sisa nervously said, looking at the ground as if ashamed of her words.

"Alright then, if that's how you like it, then I shall willingly become your Dowager of Desire... your children... how enviable, I hope to have a mother like you."

I smiled, my sincerest one for a very long while. I will repeat this again and again, despite already forgiving Myra, I hope to have a mother like Sisa, and I hope I will become a mother like her in the future... or chromosomally speaking, a father.

The moment I uttered these words, Sisa's face brightened as she flashed a smile of relief, that she was alive and her children would not get bombed by me. After that, we confirmed some things and then I, once again made her fall asleep in the operating table and started the operation, it was not something that grand, I just pried open her chest get the crystal out of the place of the heart, made the atoms of the tips of the 4 main blood vessels near the heart float up and connected them to the wires of the arc reactor and then stitched back the wound, finally I used the medicine invented by [Guide] in order to make her body naturally recover as making her blood atoms adapt quickly as well as her body might have detrimental effects.

She's not an opponent, and honestly, I have never bothered to improve the MRI in my previous life, so who knows, I might make her an old hag if I do that... dang, it was confirmed by [Perfect Simulation].

It took her an hour in total to wake up, after that, we made several kind of tests like activating magic and feeling the mana inside her body, as she remarked, she have reached new levels in mana count as stated of her system information, which is a good thing, after that, we had a final check of her vitals before finally deciding of going to Urduja.

_I feel like I have become Sophia Soho with all these efforts for the reunion of a mother and child..._

Such were my thoughts as we walked into the 4th dimension.

[3rd Person POV]

As Sophia and Sisa traversed the 4th dimension, the latter couldn't help but look at the slender yet reliable back of Sophia, finding the person intriguing. Even though she is a very strong person, unlike Aerendil, she was not able to detach herself from emotions and even helped her out of envy, brought apparently by Sisa having a mental breakdown when her children went missing.

_Maybe I had to try the same sex..._

Considering that her first relationship led to an abusive cohabitation.
