189 — Escalation

Mia's POV:

"I rode his massive, fat cock for a whole hour. And it was so fucking amazing." Su Ah continued, undeterred—a whole different person than her usual self. “It was so thick. So hard. I couldn't get enough of him."

"......!!"

"And you know what's even better? Jae-il was so gentle. So caring. So loving. I think I'm in love, Unnie. I think I'm in love with our little brother. He's the best."

"......!!"

Su Ah’s words hit her like a bucket of ice.

It was so unreal, the image of him pounding Su Ah up a mountainside. What the fuck.

This little bitch! What was she saying now?!

"But you want to know the best part, Unnie? Hear this out~ Jae-il came inside me, Unnie. Inside me. Filled me up with his cum. I'm sure it might still be dripping down my thighs as we speak. Isn't it romantic, huh~?"

Mia wanted to scream. She felt her entire body go numb as Su Ah's words sunk into her skull. "Y-you're lying! You're lying! You're lying! You're lying! You're lying!" She finally managed to cry out, pushing away from the wall and stumbling backwards, her back hitting the counter. Her fists clenched at her sides and she glared at her sister with tears in her eyes.

Su Ah let her go. "Oh, come on now. Don't get mad. You've been fucking him too, haven't you, Unnie? You're the one that started this. It's your fault, really."

"I didn't start anything! I just... I just..." Mia's voice trailed off, her head hanging low.

"Just what? Just wanted to fuck your little brother?"

"Shut up!"

"Just wanted him all to yourself?"

"Shut up!"

“Don’t you have any shame, Unnie?”

“Shut. Up!!”

"I really should've taken that shower with Jae-il instead~" Su Ah said, not mincing her words at all. "Bet he'd pound me right up against the wall~"

Something in Mia—maybe the last frayed thread of sanity—snapped with a guttural sound.

Before any thought could temper instinct, she lashed her hands and pushed Su Ah, hard.

Her sister stumbled back, eyes flashing with momentary surprise before narrowing into icy, vengeful slits. A snarl curled her lips. Yes, because Su Ah, despite her aloofness and dorky cuteness, was indeed her sister, a cut from the same cloth.

She'd resort to violence. She wasn’t far removed from that shit either.

Su Ah recovered faster than Mia expected, righting herself and standing her ground. Her shoulders squared as she charged at her elder sister like a mad bull. Mia didn't know who moved faster; probably her since Su Ah collided into her body with a weight that suggested she had expected a more successful impact.

The younger sister fell over sideways and tripped.

As a knee-jerk reaction, Mia rushed forward. The stupid, treacherous brain cells in her mind did the work while her emotions scrambled and jammed the signal, her mind racing in panic while her body kept going with the momentum, propelling forward.

Next thing she knew, her hands grabbed the edges of Su Ah's collar and held it in a vice-like grip. Mia slammed the traitorous bitch against the wall, but it turned into a wrestling match for the advantage, Su Ah's palms fisted the front of her pajamas to retaliate.

It had become so ugly so quick, like someone had put out gasoline all over their tempers.

Eyes alight with dark fury.

Mouths curled into snarls.

Nails scratching. Knees bashing. Fists grabbing, tearing. Feet kicking. Pushing and pulling. Hissing. Biting. Losing rationality. Not thinking. Blinded with rage and jealous over their man and getting riled up easily.

"Is that all you've got, Unnie?" Su Ah hissed. "Push and shove like a spoiled child?"

"Better than scheming your way into his bed behind my back!" Mia retorted, her own voice cracking with pent-up emotion.

Words flew like shrapnel.

"There's more to seducing your little brother than just bending over!” Su Ah snapped back, shoving Mia off of her and right back against the counter, where her lower back slammed into it, sending a lance of pain right up her spine. Mia winced as Su Ah continued. “At least I'd be able to show him a better time in bed, compared to the fumbling you've probably been doing! Maybe I should show you a couple of things—wait no, I might've fucked his brains out last night enough for him to finish inside me. Disappointed? Hah, you must—"

Mia's hand moved faster than her thoughts could arrest it.

A deafening crack put a stop to their quarrel.

Su Ah's face jerked to the right from the impact. The imprint of fingers reddened on Su Ah's pale cheek. The skin slowly pinkened in the shape of five delicate fingers and a slightly darker palm mark.

Her head remained slightly turned, her own hands clenched so tightly her nails bit into her palms.

Shock rippled through Mia's frame like a sudden plunge into ice water.

Su Ah's wide eyes snapped to meet hers, no longer just defiant—now hidden behind a film of angry tears that hovered precariously on her lower lashes.

One rolled down her cheek to trace the path of Mia's violence, followed swiftly by another.

They stayed like that for a long second, frozen. Eyes locked. Breathing hard. Heated glares and angry scowls.

Mia's palm burned.

She couldn't look away. It was her little sister. Little Su Ah, whom she'd grown up protecting, and the memories of Su Ah's anguished, tear-filled gaze at the unfairness of the world.

Memories.

Oh, she had so many damn memories to sort through. But everything else faded.

This rage was not new.

But when directed towards her younger sister, Su Ah, it was hard.

Unprecedented. Unacceptable.

And unforgivable.

Because no matter the intensity of her emotions, no matter how upset or how hurt she got, she couldn’t do physical harm. It was the one thing she swore she would never, ever stoop to.

Not to Su Ah.

The unthinkable suddenly became acceptable. And the line, crossed without regard.

In that instant, looking at her sister, Mia felt herself drowning.

They stood suspended on a precipice, one breath away from a collision neither truly wanted, yet both had been moving toward since Jae-il first became their joint obsession.

The thought of the consequences finally pierced through Mia's murky eyes.

Her fists gradually unclenched, the white tension draining from her knuckles.

It wasn't about them—not really. It was about him. They'd drag him back into the conversation. They'd put him in the middle of their war if they continued like this, if neighbors were woken, if their mother came rushing downstairs to find them on the verge of bloodshed over their brother.

"I... I…” Mia began, finding the ability to speak, reaching out to grasp her younger sister's shaking, unbruised shoulder. "I didn't mean—"

Su Ah roughly pushed her hand away, and without another word, headed straight for her own bedroom, slamming the door loudly behind her.

Mia flinched, standing there, in the middle of the living room, terribly alone with the guilt of what she’d done.

“......”

How did they get here?

She couldn’t believe she and Su Ah would ever turn to this, resort to such petty and vicious measures, but, the truth was that Mia knew herself. Knew her past actions, knew how desperate she could get when she saw something, someone she wanted. Knew how possessive, how unreasonable, how clingy she became.

Of course, that would mean admitting to the worst, darkest things lurking within her; like the way that as soon as Jae-il showed signs that he wouldn’t stay, the fantasies about keeping him imprisoned, at least, sexually, escalated into ones with ropes, and chains. With the fantasy of a secret place to stash him, away from other women.

Where he belonged to her, forever.

Things were no longer funny.

Things were getting a bit scary.

A bit alarming, too.

She would probably kill him if he ran out of her life now. Mia wasn’t lying about the deadly means and intent, either, because it would shatter something within her, break it so irrecoverably, she would find that he either was by her side or not in existence at all.

That's how much she had come to adore him.

And she hated herself for it too, because she knew there was nothing right and justified and remotely sane with any of those thoughts or actions. But those had become part of her now. Like it or not.

Had to live with that. A miserable existence—that was what she was. Look at Mia, beautiful, perfect Mia, who was nothing more than a depraved monster born with a silver spoon.

But she didn't want to live in a world where she'd have no choice, where he would slip right under her control because of her own emotions running rampant, because of her indiscretions, her irrational jealousy and distrust and desire to control. Because Mia's definition of love was actually quite screwed.

She didn't want to have to hurt Jae-il, or Su Ah, or her family, ever.

Mia wished she could change herself.

Because, what's the point of staying sane in an insane world, right?

"Ughhh." Mia moaned softly, bringing a hand to her eyes.

They hurt. Warm. Wet.

Her hand was trembling.

This was all a mess and her own fucking fault. How was she supposed to make this right now? Why the hell was her sister not following the script in her head?! Why did Su Ah do the things she did?

If only Su Ah hadn't—

If only she had stayed in her fucking lane.

Mia had gotten with Jae-il first, and Su Ah knew it. She knew it!

With a mighty sigh, Mia made her way upstairs with tears streaming down her eyes, to stand in front of Su Ah's bedroom door.

Monsters knew the monsters' scents all too well.

And these sisters, despite being very competitive and all that, loved each other in their own, twisted ways.
