DxD 0047: Appeasing the Mad Kitten

After his usual amazing morning, Abaddon had Aika clean him up in the shower before he went to class with her. Meanwhile, Rias finally woke up and took Akeno with her to meet with her new Bishop.

On the other hand, Aika, who had skipped school for quite a few days was pretty happy to be back. The best part for her was that she got to attend the morning lecture sitting in Abaddon’s lap. A basic memory spell was enough to make everyone think that that was how everything was supposed to be— With Aika sitting in Abaddon’s lap and occasionally being teased by him as she let out lewd moans that practically disturbed the entire lecture.

For once, Abaddon also had some fun attending the class as he had such a fun ‘desk partner’ to enjoy class with. This was why he didn’t ditch class and attended everything today. He didn’t have anything to do after skipping school anyway. Kiba was still pretty exhausted so wasting his time was also out of the picture, ‘I should start genuinely training him too… the poor guy’s lagging behind the others…’ He thought as he teased Aika’s body while the teacher spoke.

By the time the break came, Aika went to sit with her classmates while Abaddon went out of the class. He wanted to do something else. He didn’t have much patience for school stuff.

As he walked around the corridors of the school, he was greeted by a glimpse of short white hair with a cute black kitty clip. Just as he turned to look at the source of the glimpse, it disappeared.

Abaddon wasn’t one to give up so easily as a voice sounded out. He could’ve muted it, but he wanted Koneko to know that she wasn’t going to be his match right now.

«BOOST»

He’d just boosted his speed as he chased after Koneko. Koneko was a purely physical fighter and her speed, although not her forte, was nothing to be scoffed at.

But Abaddon had trained Sairaorg. Someone who’d reached the strength of an ultimate class through his physique alone. Koneko was not his match in any sense of the word. He was just boosting himself to make Koneko realize how hopeless her situation was.

With double his speed, he was moving much faster and approaching Koneko quickly who seemed to have increased her speed even more as she seemed to be determined to avoid him.

Abaddon went after her leisurely, as if he was a cat playing with a mouse.

‹The irony can’t be lost on you…›

Abaddon chuckled when he heard Draig’s words.

Soon, 10 seconds passed as Abaddon kept just close to Koneko.

«BOOST»

With the four-fold enhancement from the two stacked boosts, Abaddon reached Koneko before she could even realize it. He grabbed her waist and picked her up in the air so that she wouldn’t be able to run away anymore. That resulted in a comical scene as Koneko kept trying to run without actually moving.

“Hi, Koneko. How are you?” Abaddon asked her as he looked at the back of her head.

Koneko looked away from him with an expressionless face and a snort.

“What?” He asked with an innocently confused expression.

“Humph.” With a light harrumph, Koneko swung back both her legs and flipped her body, making Abaddon let her go if he didn’t want to be hit by her foot. She quickly started running again to get away from him.

Abaddon could’ve suppressed her here, but he was just playing with Koneko. There was no need to actually get serious.

«BOOST»

With the third boost and an 8-fold enhancement to his speed, he’d caught up to Koneko before she’d even taken another step.

“Let me go, pervert senpai.” Koneko didn’t struggle again but seemed to not want to be in his presence.

“Yeah, how about no?” He said. “I’ll tell Buchou…” Koneko played her best card.

“Hah. She can’t even stop me from bullying her, how’s she going to stop me from bullying you, huh?” He taunted Koneko before he put her down and before she could start running he started tickling her waist.

“Hey… haha… No… haha” Her unrelenting laughs were melodious as she struggled while trying to get him to stop, ‘She’s ticklish, huh…’ He realized with an amused smile as he kept going until she begged him to stop.

Koneko was lying on the ground, taking deep breaths as she tried to get oxygen back into her lungs when Abaddon said, “Now… Will you listen to me?”

Koneko was still stubborn as she turned her face away from him in protest.

“I’ll share my chocolate with you…” He tried to tempt her. Although Koneko got a conflicted expression on her face for a second, she still had her expressionless face as she looked away again.

“All right, you’re going to listen to me.” He didn’t bother entertaining her tantrum anymore and wrapped his arm around her waist. He hoisted her up like a large sack and held her between his arm and side. Koneko silently protested by swinging her legs but wasn’t very successful. Especially after she saw the gem on his wrist gauntlet glow for a fourth time. She knew that she wasn’t going to be a match for him right now.

Koneko’s ever-expressionless face had a faint pout on it as she let him bring her to wherever he wanted.

Finally, they reached one of the higher windows which served as a sort of balcony where they could sit with their legs hanging, “Pervert senpai’s going to throw me off the building…” Koneko mumbled with a flat tone that didn’t give her thoughts away. Abaddon wasn’t sure if she was joking or if she was being serious.

“I could never do that, Koneko,” Abaddon said seriously but felt an intense stare from Koneko who looked at him with accusation, “Unless it’s for training… And I haven’t tied your wings either. You’ll be fine.” He nonchalantly mentioned Koneko’s cruel training that he put the poor girl through, “And it got results, didn’t it?” He put Koneko on the ledge and allowed her to sit before taking a seat with her.

“Now. You wanna talk to me?” He said, offering her some chocolate after breaking it into two halves. One for her and one for him.

“You’re a pervert.” She said, taking the chocolate reluctantly.

“I won’t disagree. I’m very lustful. But last night wasn’t about that and I’m sure that you understand it. You were injured and that was the most efficient method to get things done.” He said as he noticed a tint of pink developing on Koneko’s face. Though he didn’t comment on it.

“Of course, I won’t act like some saint and say that it was the only reason that I completely destroyed all your bloody clothes before sleeping with you. I could’ve given you a phoenix tear and you’d be perfectly fine. But I preferred this method.” He said as he smirked at the increasing redness on her face.

“Pervert…” She commented while she focused on nibbling little bites out of the chocolate.

He chuckled in response as he wrapped his arm around Koneko’s shoulder and pulled her close to him before saying, “Don’t be mad at me, Koneko… I can’t bear to see someone as cute and lovable as you being mad at me.” He said in an exaggerated manner.

Koneko let out a suppressed whimper in response to his actions.

“Have you ever been to a cat cafe? Sona was telling me about it the other day.” He asked her.

“Mhm…” She nodded cutely while leaning against him.

“Great, let’s go.” Before Koneko could reply, he held her waist and jumped down from the building with her in tow. She instinctively held on to him tightly as his sudden action made her forget that she had her own wings and could fly.

Extending his wings out, Abaddon descended to the ground slowly with a Nekomata wrapped around him and he enjoyed every moment of it. He may or may not have slowed down his descent more than necessary to enjoy Koneko’s tight hug for longer.

After they finally landed on the ground, Abaddon waited for almost a minute before saying, “We’re already on the ground, Koneko…” He chuckled.

Koneko reacted quickly as her feet hit the ground and she separated a good distance away from him.

“I’m not some plague… Come on.” He gently knocked his knuckles on her forehead before he started walking.

Soon, he looked back and saw Koneko standing in her original spot, “Come on. I don’t bite.” He said.

“I have class…” Koneko was a sincere student.

“Skip it. I’ll teach you and take care of things with your teacher.” He said. He was acting like the typical senior who coerced his junior into bunking classes.

Koneko hesitated for a moment before she decided that cats were more important and agreed, “Hm.” She nodded.

“Attagirl. Come on.” He held out his hand to her as she walked to him.

When she reached him, she paused and looked at his hand for a few seconds before looking up at him, “Pervert cooties.” With that phrase, she ignored his extended hand and moved on. Abaddon stood there for a good 5 seconds before he processed her words.

“Well, that’s just hurtful…” He commented with a sigh before walking up to Koneko and they made their way to the cat cafe.

“What kind of familiar do you have, Koneko?” He asked her.

“A cat.” Just as Koneko said those words, a summoning circle was cast and a cute little kitten appeared on Koneko’s shoulders, “This is Shiro.” She brought her hand to the kitten’s face and rubbed its chin with her finger.

Abaddon was floored when he saw the little kitten, “She’s so cute…” He whispered with fascination. Shiro had pure white fur with big golden eyes that were similar to Koneko, “How old is she?” He asked Koneko.

“Just a bit over a year old. She was part of a litter that was born to a dying mother. Her siblings are being taken care of by the familiar forest caretakers.” Koneko said with her usual emotionless tone and expression, though a hint of fondness was unmistakable when she talked about her familiar.

“Do you go to the cat cafe often?” He asked before adding a little offer, “I guess Shiro would also like some playmates…”

“I do actually.” Koneko agreed, “There’s a place close by where I actually have a regular contractor. He is very polite and lets Shiro play with the cats there.” Koneko told him.

“Sounds nice…” He said with a nod.
