DxD 0162: The True Trial (2/2)
The passing days essentially destroyed all of Kushia’s will to resist Abaddon. The man not only continued to dominate the daily battles against the Ultimate-Class devils of her clan, he was doing it all while protecting her from them. With her whittling mentality came obedience and eventually, the truth behind her peculiar existence.
“That’s because, you see, Abaddon-sama …” Kushia spoke hesitantly, “I’m not Kushia. At least, not exactly.” As she spoke the words, she lowered her eyes, “I am the spirit that is responsible for bestowing the power of the Abaddon clan to you once you clear half of their strongest combatants.”
Abaddon wasn’t that surprised and even almost expected that to be the case. After so many hints, Kushia’s confession was merely a confirmation, “I expected something like that to be the case,” He nodded, “That’s why the spirits with a conscience all want to kill you. They don’t want you to give me the power of your clan.”
“I do not wish to give you the power of my clan either …” She directed a tired look at him.
“Hey now, don’t be like that, Kushia,” Abaddon said. “We still have to understand the mystery of how you came to be. Your spirit has essentially melded itself with the construct and taken over the authority that was supposed to judge my performance. I’m sure someone had a hand in doing it. I’m just curious who.”
“Just leave me be …” She said weakly. “Now that you know my purpose, you can finally stop trying to break me.”
“That’s not possible,” Abaddon shook his head, pinching the woman’s chin and making her look up at him. “I’m still planning on getting you out with me permanently. And as I see it, you need a lot more training and convincing.” The man didn’t play nice anymore and roughly turned Kushia around, propping her up on all fours. She moaned helplessly as he entered her dripping pussy. It barely took a few minutes for her to start begging him for more. She was already a slave to her desires and by extension Abaddon, who was the only one who could fulfil those desires. Now, she was merely showing an outward defiance and nothing more.
Abaddon grabbed the chain that was connected to her metal collar and held it taut, forcing Kushia to arch her back to not choke as Abaddon relentlessly fucked her. That very collar had been her only clothing item for the past months as Abaddon slowly broke her resistance.
Even more days passed until eventually, Abaddon found a familiar Ultimate-Class devil. “Bedeze Abaddon,” The Bael clan heir spoke. “You were a troublesome one, weren’t you? Ranked third in the rating games, you even had a King Piece to yourself.”
The spirit didn’t even react to Abaddon’s words and instead turned to Kushia. “Pathetic,” He spoke. “All that effort we spent to bring you to fruition and you just waltz into the enemy’s hands … But it is still manageable. We accounted for the possibility of something like that happening when we—“
“I don’t particularly like being ignored,” Abaddon said, not seeming too perturbed by it, teleporting behind Bedeze and punching the man in the waist, throwing him to the ground. Without giving him any respite, the man was met with a kick from Abaddon that sent him flying once again. An explosion of destruction ensued from the kick. Abaddon crossed his arms as the smoking devil spirit fell to the ground.
He stood up without too much damage and cracked his neck, “You aren’t really my target. As long as I can foil your plan to steal my clan’s power for yourself, everything will be fine.” A burst of flames dyed the scenery around Kushia, drowning her in flames.
“Devils much stronger have tried, Bedeze,” Abaddon said. “In this place, you don’t have the boost of the King Piece. You’re just the pathetic talentless weakling that you were supposed to be.”
The devil seemed triggered by Abaddon’s words but still continued attacking Kushia as Abaddon both defended the helpless woman and attacked Bedeze. The fight lasted a while until Abaddon finally got rid of the troublesome devil and landed on the ground beside Kushia as she looked up at him.
“Abaddon-sama …” She spoke hesitantly. “Why don’t you free me? I might not be able to help you fight, but I can protect myself from their attacks.”
“And let you run into their attacks voluntarily?” Abaddon asked with a scoff. “Just quiet down and let me blow off some steam. That fucker was like a cockroach, constantly refusing to die.” The woman whimpered as Abaddon pushed her down on the ground and spread her legs before entering her. She moaned into his mouth as he used her as an outlet for his desires, bringing her to the epitome of pleasure. Unlike her outward expressions and resistance, she was enthusiastically reciprocating his actions, kissing him back with equal passion and even swaying her hips in tandem with him.
…
Soon enough, Abaddon encountered another devil that he was aware of. Kushia’s father.
The devil gave a disdainful look at his daughter, “Disgusting. Waste of my efforts,” He shook his head. “I had held out some hopes that you would, at least at the very end, show some use. But you are truly, completely worthless. Even your death must be granted by myself.”
“I never asked for this!” The woman broke out in tears, screaming at the flying devil. “You pulled me from god knows where and kept telling me of my destiny for years on end. You raised me like a fucking cow to be slaughtered once the time comes!”
“Because that’s all you are worth,” The devil spoke indifferently. “Your purpose of existence has been to make sure that the Bael clan doesn’t get a hold of the power of our clan. No matter the means. You were never talented enough to be able to forcefully control the bestowment, so the only solution you had was to kill or be killed. Instead, you chose to enslave yourself to the enemy.”
“Go fuck yourself!” She snapped with a choking voice. “You infused my remnant will into a spirit that you had no right to even come into contact with. I was never supposed to be treated this way! You …” Kushia and her father argued as Kushia got more and more agitated, continuing to scream at the top of her lungs about the unfairness of her situation. As for the apathetic devil in the sky, he merely replied in the worst possible manner, constantly pressing Kushia’s buttons.
As for Abaddon, he was sitting on a chair he’d conjured for himself and eating some popcorn. The drama not only gave him insight into the situation that Kushia was in, but it was also very entertaining.
“Look at yourself, naked and debased for the enemy who eradicated your clan. What respect do you think you deserve in the state? A whore would command more respect than you.”
“At least in this state, I know what to expect. For all my years of existence, you have treated me as nothing more than a tool with the purpose of dying. Greater purpose? Bullshit. You just want to use me to get some petty revenge. I never even met this eradicated clan other than its people always looking down on me and telling me that my purpose was to be killed by the challenger no matter what.”
At this point, the argument started going around in circles, making Abaddon finally stand up as the popcorn bucket in his hands and his chair disappeared. He symbolically dusted off his hands and wiped them on his trousers, “I think we’re done here,” He said, casting a spell at Kushia. A magic circle appeared over her head and started lowering itself. The moment it made contact with her head, it started bending like some kind of rubber cloth. It continued lowering and tightly captured Kushia within it as if she were being trapped in a vacuum bed. Neither her Ultimate-Class father nor the woman was able to react before she was wrapped from head to toe in a yellow magic circle that completely restrained her movements, causing her to fall to the ground, unmoving.
“Nice move, really. Even my new slave didn’t realize how you were using your voice as a medium to infuse your attack in her,” Abaddon clapped his hands in an appreciative move. “You were probably going to fight me and make me feel that I’m winning before detonating her, weren’t you? Sorry for ruining your plans.”
Kushia, restrained, couldn’t even express her disbelief in words, merely showing a betrayed expression as she realized that even to the end, she was nothing more than a means to an end for the man with whom she was arguing just now. Even the infuriating words of the man were a tactic to keep her distracted as he prepared his attack.
“How …” The devil couldn’t believe how perceptive Abaddon was.
“Don’t give me too much credit,” The culprit laughed, “I’ve been keeping a very close eye on her for exactly this kind of scenario. That collar,” Abaddon pointed to Kushia’s neck. “I have spent months subtly reinforcing its detection and defensive capabilities. Even under the circumstances that your attack did explode, Kushia would have been pretty much unharmed unless you bombarded her with multiple full-powered attacks. And the credit for this preparation goes to your clan members. They’ve all been trying their best to kill Kushia, making me prepared for a subtle attack.”
The devil showed a hardened expression, “Fine then. I guess I have to do my best to kill you instead.”
