DxD 0159: A Peculiar Spirit (1/2)
"Old man, let’s get it over with,” Abaddon said. He had appeared in a small, empty room. “I don’t think I can hold it back for much longer.”
“Finally,” Zekram Bael teleported beside Abaddon. “Go into the next room and sit down. I will invoke the ritual. You should find yourself in the special space soon. It will take between one to twenty-four hours.”
“Got it,” Abaddon nodded and walked through the dark corridor before encountering a door at the end. He entered the room and couldn’t help but whistle at what he saw. The entire room was covered in ancient markings, none of which he could decipher. “This so-called room must’ve been some kind of historic relic from the time of ancient devils … They are all markings that remind me of Runic Magic that predates the use of magic circles by countless generations of devils.” Abaddon didn’t take too long to appreciate the new magic that he’d seen. Instead, he moved to the center of the room and sat on the ground in the middle of the circle that was there to have him sit in it.
Just as he sat on the ground, all of the markings lit up, making Abaddon raise a brow. “I thought it would take at least an hour …” He mumbled, preparing to be teleported.
Nothing happened. The markings continued to glow as Abaddon waited, making him realize that the glow symbolized something else.
He shook his head before closing his eyes and meditating.
…
“So you are the one, for whom my clan’s destiny was eradicated. The one who used the blood and fate of our clan from time immemorial to elevate yourself.”
Abaddon heard a voice that made him open his eyes. He found himself in a grassy field with no end in sight.
“You are the one who stole my destiny from me just after I was born …” The voice seemed to turn a little ethereal as Abaddon turned to the source. The speaker was a woman, blonde with blue eyes. She had a sexy body with curves in all the right places, rivaling Akeno and Rias. Adorned in a blue single-piece armor that barely covered her torso from her shoulders to her thighs, leaving her arms and legs bare.
Abaddon whistled while impudently gazing at her body, “A great loss to the world indeed. Who are you?” He asked, not sympathizing with the woman in the slightest. He knew what he was here to do and what he needed to do to accomplish that.
“Kushia Abaddon. I was a mere babe when you were born, does it not make you feel remorseful that you not only killed the remnants of an entire clan but even stole their destiny …” The woman’s words didn’t particularly affect Abaddon. Instead, he was concerned about something else.
“What are you, Kushia Abaddon?” He asked. “You should not have been able to age in your current state. Just like Bedeze Abaddon and the rest of the members of the clan that were killed off. How did you age?”
Realizing that her words weren’t having any effect on the man in front of her, “I guess I have no choice in that case …” The woman said as her expression hardened. “Prepare to die, Abaddon Bael. So that I can bring back my clan’s destiny and revive them.”
The woman sent a strike of lightning at Abaddon which he deflected casually, “You never answered my question.” He said. The woman didn’t say anything, casting even more spells to attack Abaddon.
“It’s useless,” He shook his head, “Maybe people of Bedeze’s caliber can put up a fight against me, but not you.” The swords didn’t seem to have any effect on the woman’s motivation as she continued throwing magic attacks at him.
“Why do you even try?” Abaddon cast a wave of destruction to destroy the attacks. The woman was about to continue attacking him, but her eyes widened as she felt a spike of energy right behind her. The destruction attack hit her, making her grunt in pain as she stumbled forward.
“Hm …” Abaddon hummed, “Your armor is better than I expected. Then again, I can’t send particularly strong destruction attacks using this method.”
The woman showed an expression of fury and multiple black spots appeared around her before slowly getting enlarged. She had just used the Hole power unique to the Abaddon clan. She maintained the holes around her before continuing to send attacks at Abaddon who merely waved his arm, waving her attacks off. In the next instant, the woman’s eyes widened as the spike appeared again. It was so close to her body that the Holes were useless in stopping the attack and it destroyed one of the shoulder guards of her armor.
“How?” She grabbed her singed shoulder with her hand, grunting in pain.
“Although I can only teleport weak destruction attacks, I have immense accuracy when it comes to teleportation. Your Hole ability is useless against it. Though I do know another use that your holes could serve for me,” Abaddon gazed impudently at her, making her even angrier.
What followed was a wholly unmatched scruffle where Abaddon continued to slowly chip away Kushia’s armor, specifically focusing the attacks in a way that they would destroy her armor and not hurt her. With an infuriatingly arrogant smirk for the entire duration of the fight, Abaddon completely wiped the floor with the relatively strong devil for her age.
“I have to commend you,” The man said. “If you were fighting anyone else from my generation, you would’ve won. Except for my brother, I guess. But his strengths perfectly counter yours. You can’t absorb physical attacks with the Holes.”
As for Kushia, the woman was on her knees, panting, her body filled with faint blackened singe marks from the manner Abaddon destroyed her armor and left her naked. “Just kill me …” The woman said. “Spare me from this indignity ...”
“Actually,” Abaddon said, his demonic energy being released from his palm and wrapping around Kushia’s powerless body, “I have other plans for you.” His energy restrained her and pulled her up off the ground, making her float toward Abaddon. In her current state, she couldn’t even struggle against the energy, let alone free herself. Finally, Abaddon brought her in front of him. “You are special, aren’t you, Kushia? You want me to kill you for some reason, but that only makes me want to keep you with myself until the end.” The woman showed a struggling expression as she attempted to speak, but she couldn’t even open her mouth to do that. Abaddon brought his hand forward and cupped her breast, giving her nipple a squeeze. “Yeah, you can serve as my amusement while I completely take your clan’s destiny for myself while strengthening myself in the process.”
“Let me go, you disgusting man …” She struggled to free herself as Abaddon continued to touch her inappropriately.
“No, I don’t think I will,” Abaddon said, squeezing her breast roughly before snapping his fingers. She groaned as a thick metal collar appeared on her throat with a chain attached to it. At this point, Abaddon’s demonic energy stopped restraining the woman, making her fall on the ground as he let go of her breast. She looked up at him hatefully before attempting to conjure up some magic to attack him. “Why can’t I …” Her eyes glanced downwards and she saw some lines on her left breast. Abaddon wasn’t just touching her inappropriately, he had also inscribed a magic circle on her body that would keep her suppressed.
“Now be good until I have the time to examine the circumstances behind your existence,” Abaddon said. Kushia saw the chain that was attached to her collar attach itself to the ground behind Abaddon. It started shortening. Despite her resistance, she was dragged behind Abaddon and forced to lie on the grassy ground because of how short the chain got. She curled up, expressionlessly looking at Abaddon’s back as he cast another circle that surrounded her, suppressing her presence.
“Yeah, she’s dead, send the low-class ones, preferably in bulk,” He spoke out to no one in particular and a hundred devils appeared in front of Abaddon, all belonging to the class of reincarnated low-class devils. They weren’t even able to react as Abaddon turned them into nothingness with a wave of destruction attacks.
“Next!” He said impatiently as the number increased by a factor of a hundred once again, ten thousand low-class devils appearing in front of him this time. The clans had existed for a very long time, and each of them had a deep and extensive history that couldn’t be imagined by the normal person. Abaddon was sure that he would be fighting against at least a hundred ultimate-class devils through his trial, maybe someone even stronger than that.
As Abaddon continued decimating the low-class and middle-class devils of her clan, Kushia Abaddon merely looked on blankly at the senseless destruction that was being inflicted on the beings.
Abaddon didn’t particularly keep track of time, but he kept going until he felt himself getting low on energy reserves. Even with all his strength, he was still not done with the weaker rungs of the clan’s members as his tank emptied out and he had to ask for a break.
Letting out a tired breath, Abaddon sat beside Kushia, “I almost feel that fighting against a smaller number of strong opponents would’ve been better. I’ve probably killed a million or so and I’m still only half sure about when things will end.”
