Chapter 26: Discussing The Dream
“Haaa… Haaa… Haaa”
I wake up with a start, my chest heaving and my heart pounding in the ribcage. The screams of that white-veiled woman are still lingering in my ears.
What was that? It seemed so real and different from the lewd dream I was having before… Almost as if it was actually happening…
It’s the day after I leveled up. The term of my school started yesterday, but I skipped it because I felt sick and tired. I remember reading about the changes that occur in the body when a person levels up, and my guess is that that was the culprit for my illness.
But finally, after a whole day of rest, the nauseous feeling has gone away!
[What happened, partner? You look like someone whose girlfriend got stolen. Are you feeling alright?]
Yeah… Just had a bad dream…
[Hold on, you didn’t really see your girlfriend get stolen, did you? Because I won’t tolerate that shit even in a dream.]
Fuck no, it was not that!
[Okay, okay. Then was it pegging? Some gay fantasy? Seriously, I respect fetishes and preferences, but not of my master! In my eyes, you would be deemed useless!]
What eyes, you organ-less fuck? And my dream was not like that! I was actually on a train surrounded by hot naked babes, and they were shaking their asses while telling me to stuff their holes with my cock and—
[Wait, wait, wait… I understand… I had my doubts but this confirms it… So, for you, this was a bad dream, huh? I get it now.]
[You know what? I think you should cut off that pathetic dick of yours. It’s not needed anymore. And then you can stuff it inside your own ass! Fufufu… not that you will feel anything…. with how small and skinny it is.]
…
Fuck you! Let me finish first, you bastard! The dream turned into a nightmare after that!
And these insults of yours are getting out of hand!
[Oh… Sorry, buddy. Please, continue.]
Hmph!
Well, the good things disappeared all of a sudden, and I found myself in a strange dark room. In there, a woman was tied to the floor with chains made of a weirdly glowing metal. I couldn’t see her though ‘cause she was covered head to toe in a white cloth—
[G-Glowing metal? A-A-And her body was covered with a white cloth? Like, you cannot even see her face or hair?]
No, her face was veiled. And she was also screaming and crying out for help. And I wanted to help her, of course, but I couldn’t move. Then suddenly, blood was spurting out from all over her body as if someone had punched in multiple holes, and then… she died.
[She… She died, huh?]
Yeah, I remember the blood pooling beneath her and she stopped moving…
[Puddle… W-What happened next?]
I don’t know. I woke up after that.
[W-Well, did you, by any chance, see anything peculiar there other than that woman? And did she say anything to you? I mean, except to ask for help.]
No, and no. I told you, the room was too dark to see anything other than the woman— who, by the way, was illuminated by a bright spotlight— and all she did was beg for her release.
But it was just a dream. Why does it matter what she said or where she said it?
[O-Of course, it doesn’t matter. On a totally different note, did something weird happen after you leveled up? I cannot remember how you reacted towards the new tasks and stuff…]
N-No, nothing happened… nothing at all!
[Oh… well, good! Fufufu, I am excited about the new tasks. And those skills? They are freaking amazing! And this time, you won’t be just advancing your sexual prowess. With magic unlocked, you can even use offense and defense if you ever get into a fight!]
[You should know, it’s very important to protect your women from those who might try to forcibly snatch them! Your women may or may not be capable of defending themselves, but you should always be prepared to defend them!]
Yeah, okay, all those things are good and everything, but what about the new Poison and that mission section, huh? Won’t they fuck me up?
[New Poison? What are you talking about? And the Mission section? Do you mean specific tasks?]
No, I don’t. The mission section is different.
[Huh…]
My SIS, which has turned pink again, erupts light and my system description appears before my eyes.
“What?!” I exclaimed loudly.
I read it repeatedly, unable to find a trace of the third Poison or the mission section I saw before.
[See? Nothing here. You must’ve seen another dream and got confused. That’s why I always say, a guy like you should always dream of banging hot chick… because you will never confuse it with the real thing. Hehe.]
Ha. Ha. Let me remind you that I had sex with hot women just the day before yesterday.
[Prostitutes do not count! They only fucked you ‘cause they were jealous of the Harpy, not because your manly charms swooned them!]
…
…
[No retort? Then I win again! Woohoo! Now, let’s forget about all these damned dreams. Especially the one where the woman died. It’s a loss for the whole world, even in a dream, when a woman dies!!]
Yeah, yeah, I get it.
[Good! Dreams like these should be totally forgotten! Thrown out of the memory like the garbage they are! Make it seem like you never saw it in the first place, alright?]
You’re trying too hard. It’s suspicious…
[W-What? Who is t-trying too hard? Not me—]
The pink letters stop appearing abruptly. A second later, my SIS shakes again and the system details pop up in front of my eyes. Although pink at first, black creeps up the letters as if corrupting them.
What the heck!?
As the black completely engulfs the pink holographic light, I see changes appearing on the system description as well.
The third poison is here! And that mission thing as well!
Then, to my astonishment, the whole system description vanishes and only the mission column remains. New words are appearing there.
[Mission]:
Time remaining to start the mission: 10 minutes
Reward: 2000 points
Penalty: 1000 points
{Master, I have recovered. And this time, I have come with a gift for you…}
