Chapter 14: Whole Family

Fuck! Maya, you have such bad timing…

Layla quickly runs out of the kitchen, while I slowly drag my feet behind her. By the time I reach the front door, she had already let Maya in.

Maya is a beautiful girl with dark blond hair and big brown eyes. Her face is full of delicate features, including her thin lips and pert nose. Although she has a relatively smaller stature, her fit white T-shirt and denim shorts clearly outline her moderate but alluringly curvy body. It can be said that she has the perfect balance of cuteness and sexiness.

But… there is something wrong with this beautiful woman right now. Her eyes are puffy and red with tears flowing down her cheeks. Her chest is also heaving as if she has just finished a marathon.

“I-I couldn’t find him. I couldn’t find Jacob.” She tells Layla, her voice cracking.

Wait, Maya is crying for me?

“I searched everywhere. He was not even near the—”

By chance, she turns her head in my direction, and our eyes meet.

“Calm down, Maya. Jacob arrived a while ago. He got late because the task given by his system was a little more time-consuming,” Layla says, gently stroking Maya’s back.

But Maya ignores Layla and keeps staring at me like an idiot. And the moment I start to say something, she suddenly bolts towards me at full speed.

“YOU IDIOT!” She screams, grabbing me by the collar before I can dodge her, and shaking my body wildly.

What the heck!? From where is she getting this much strength in her small body?

“YOU STUPID IDIOT! YOU ASSHOLE!” She yells while continuing to manhandle me. She is also crying in earnest now.

“You could have called me… You could have at least texted me…” She says emotionally.

“You know how worried I was—”

All of a sudden, Maya stops speaking as if realizing what she’s doing. She also stops shaking me and quickly removes her hands from my collar. Finally, wiping the tears from her eyes, she looks at me again.

“I-I meant to say… do you know how worried Layla was? And don’t misunderstand, I was not worried for you at all, okay?” she blurts out, her voice still shaky.

Maya, you are not convincing anyone with those teary eyes.

“I-I just got something in my eyes! I was not crying because of you!” She shouts seeing a playful smile on my face.

Come on, at least think of a better excuse than that.

“Seriously? But why do you look so haggard? It’s as if you were giving it your all to search for me,” I tease her.

“T-T-That’s because Layla asked me. I didn’t want to search for you, but she forced me,” she says while getting quite flustered.

“But—”

“I am tired! I am going to sleep in my room so don’t disturb me!” She quickly cuts me off and vanishes up the stairs at full speed.

“Fufufu… don’t mind her, Jacob. She was up all night waiting for you and ran outside the moment I mentioned searching for you,” Layla tells me while giggling.

“Is that so? It’s really unlike her to be this concerned about me…” I say, amused.

“Oh, you know that’s just her outer shell. And you just saw what she is like inside. You are her family, too.” Layla tells me with a smile before moving back to the kitchen.

Well, I guess that’s kind of true…

Maya is actually the daughter of Layla’s parent’s friends. Both her and Layla’s parents died together in a car crash five years ago when she was 14 and Layla was 17.

Both of Maya’s parents were the only children of their respective families, and she had no other close relatives who were alive. Layla, who was already an adult at that time, took Maya in after all the formalities a few months before she brought me to the house.

To be honest, what Layla did was very kind but expected as they are close childhood friends. There were no problems with the law either as Layla was already financially stable. Oh, and yeah, I will also mention that while the law may not have any problem with Maya being here, they may do with me.

I am kind of living illegally in this house? I don’t remember Layla going through any paperwork when she brought me here. But well, the government didn’t notice me when I was in the streets, why would they notice me now?

[So… are we going to ignore all of that just now? You are hiding two sizzling hot babes at home! You sly little son of a…]

It’s you again, huh? I was actually waiting for you. You see, tomorrow is the last day of my school holidays. So, I was thinking about going to a brothel.

[Don’t change the topic! What about that cute + sexy + busty combo pack babe just now?]

Maya? What about her?

[Do I seriously have to spell out each and every single thing to you? Fuck her! Fuck her! Fuck her!]

I don’t—

[And don’t even try to say no this time, alright? I am already letting you off with your romantic shit with Layla! You will literally die if you keep doing this!]

O-Okay, okay. But she doesn’t like me in that way. And I really don’t want to force myself on her in any way because she’s like family to me.

[Though I would like to agree that a hot babe like her would never look twice at a guy like you but… there is no denying the fact that it’s clear as day that she likes you. But well, you also have a good reason this time… if you have sex with her during the Beast Scent’s trance state without any buildup, she will recall everything that will happen… so, I recommend seducing her on your own first, and then using the skill. She likes you already so there shouldn’t be any problem.]

…

Hey, wait. What did you say about the Beast’s Scent again?

Don’t tell me… All those women on the train will remember what happened today?

[Well, yes and no… I guess. Their memories will be quite vague because you didn’t really do anything much with them. They will probably think that they themselves were trying to get close to you. Though I cannot say the same for that chick, Anna… she will remember everything.]

…

What the fuck!? What the actual fuck!?

She is a freaking policewoman! She was the only one who must not remember anything!

[Hey! Although I applaud your choice of women, it was you who decided to fuck her specifically. Not me.]

Don’t give me that! You fucking told me that they will forget everything I do to them!

[That would’ve been the case if only a certain someone hadn’t taken their cock out and rammed it inside Anna! I never told you that a woman will forget about it if you actually fuck her. You just blindly expected something from a level 1 skill.]

YOU are the fucking system! YOU should have stopped me when I was about to fuck Anna!

[Oh… yeah. I was so excited about it that I kinda forgot. I apologize!]

… I have no words for you anymore.

[Don’t worry, buddy! It won’t be so easy to trace you. I don’t even remember you buying a ticket before entering the women’s coach.]

I can only hope now.

[Well, that’s the spirit! Now, let’s earn some more points!]

Right now? Are you serious?

[Yup!]

But how?

[Fufufu, you are so naïve. Didn’t Layla mention that she and Maya were up all night waiting and searching for you… they didn’t have time for anything else, right?]

Yeah, so?

[Well, you don’t think they have taken a bath yet, do you? *WINK*]
