It was me and Linnea Johansson, The girl who tried to Assault me. I have many speculations about this girl. She may be klutz and unfit to be an assassin but when I think about it, How did she get past security of my family?

“Magic orb? Subordination contract? What is that?”
Linnea was startled but she quickly adjust herself. She then asked me with confused look.
I explained her about the Magic Orb.
“As for Subordination Contract, the name is obvious. If you accept the contract, You will become my subordinate and you cannot betray me and go against my orders. However, Don’t think you will be disadvantage with this contract since it will give you benefits you could never Imagine… Just one benefits on being contracted, You can use magic even if you don’t have Magic Orb….”
I explained everything to her about how the contract works. Linnea listened carefully as she sometimes points out what she didn’t understand.
It’s Impossible to use magic without Magic Orb, That’s given. However, With this contract even a normal person can become a magician, but at the cost of their freedom.
Also, My Mama told me she also used the contract to create a hidden force. I didn’t ask about it since I know it’s a secret.
It’s cool and all but the strength also depends the level of the mage. Another thing, The subordinate cannot surpass the master no matter what.
The master can also receive benefits when they contracted someone. 20% of that subordinate will be added to the master. In short the more subordinate you have the stronger you become.

After a few minutes, Concentrated light in a form of collar appeared on Linnea’s neck and while mine form of a ring on my middle finger. A thread of light connect the two lights as it finally feel like I control the life of Linnea Johansson, with a thought I can reap her life. Just from that thought alone made me unconsciously shiver.
For me, I would hate it when someone tries to control me. I like being free and unhindered. But being unbridled isn’t good after all, This is not the past me. I need to take responsibility of the consequences of my actions.
“The contract is done.”
Linnea Johansson stared blankly at me for a few moments before recovering herself from her stupor. She look around and took a deep breath.
“This is… I feel like my senses levels up. I can now hear that cricket over there. The footsteps outside is now very clear. My vision widened and brightened….”
“Fumu, This is just one of the benefits of being subordinate. Don’t be shocked since there will be more to it…. You’ll find it sooner.”
Linnea nodded as she feels very excited deep within her heart. She wanted to try her enhanced senses. She also felt like her strength powered up. Like a child eager to play.

People may think being a mage can only use magic. But in reality, The higher level you are. Not only your magic becomes stronger but also your body. Because a vessel needs to be formidable to store a large amount of mana. What’s more, The stronger you are the higher the density of mana you’ll store in your body. If you have a frail body and you are a level 3 mage, It would be a miracle if you didn’t explode.
So to prevent that. We mages needs strong body to cope with dense mana within us. Specifically, The magic orb. This is also why I recommended to Shakti that she should practice the technique of absorbing mana and strengthening the body and soul.
