Chapter 622: Ice and Fog

Have you ever wondered what the perspective of the fruits inside a blender is?

What were they feeling? What were they thinking?

Well... I was experiencing it right now.

I was the fruit.

And the blender was the chaotic, violent void between realms.

One moment, I was adrift, a disembodied speck of consciousness in a sea of nothingness, the tentacle of Hunger, my last lifeline, stretched taut, still faintly anchored to the spot where the Bifrost had shattered.

The next, I was being torn apart.

It was both a physical pain, as if my atoms were being ripped from their comforting quantum embrace, and a metaphysical one, a soul-deep tearing sensation that was infinitely worse.

I saw flashes of worlds I'd never known, smelled alien spices, heard the silent prayers of forgotten gods, felt the death throes of stars. I was a piece of cosmic flotsam caught in a tidal wave of raw creation and destruction.

Then came the pull.

It wasn't gentle.

It was a hook in my soul, a gravitational fist that seized me and yanked. I was no longer drifting; I was falling, accelerating through a kaleidoscope of screaming color and fractured realities.

I lost all of my limbs, my organs, my blood... even my senses.

I was a nameless, formless echo, a whisper without a voice.

And then...

Solidity.

BOOOOOM!

The impact was jarring. I didn't so much land as I manifested. Reality snapped back into place around me like a rubber band that had been stretched to its breaking point.

I was whole again.

Sort of.

My body was a ruin. The hole in my stomach remained, a gaping wound that refused to close; my legs decided to walk away from each other. My left arm was missing, and my right eye was blind. My living armor, Hunger, was cracked and dull, its hunger sated into a quiet, pained hum.

But I was alive. I was breathing. I was in one piece.

A very, very broken piece, but still a piece.

I lay there for what felt like an eternity, my back pressed against a cold, frozen stone, staring up at a sky that wasn't a sky.

Fog.

Everything around me can be summarized in two words.

Ice and fog.

A swirling, silent sea of it.

The fog was so thick I could taste it—cold, wet, with a faint metallic tang, like old, frozen blood. The air was frigid, so cold it burned what remained of my lungs with every ragged breath. I could see my own breath, a tiny, pathetic wisp of steam that was immediately swallowed by the oppressive white.

I tried to push myself up, but my shattered body refused to obey. My remaining arm sank into a thin layer of frost and frozen moss. The ground beneath me was a sheet of ancient, unbroken ice, smooth as glass and just as unforgiving.

'Where... am I?' I thought, my mind slow and sluggish, like a frozen engine trying to turn over.

The last thing I remembered was Odin's terrified face and Heimdall's desperate command to sever the Bifrost. I'd failed to reach Asgard, but I'm not too disappointed.

Dragging that old fart's realm into the abyss was still on the table.

But... the Miasma.

Hehehe~... Even if I failed, I still managed to 'infect' the one-eyed fucker.

The tentacle of Hunger that was wrapped around his ankle... it had carried a trace of the Miasma along with it. A tiny, almost insignificant amount, but it was there.

A seed.

A seed of corruption that would slowly but surely grow, rotting Asgard from the inside out. Like a cancer that no divine fire could burn away.

"Heheh...he...heh..." a weak, wheezing laugh escaped my lips, a sound that was immediately stolen by the wind. "I... win... old man..."

I had won. Even in defeat, I had won.

Why, you may ask? Because Miasma can't be removed by any known means.

Once it's in, it's in.

And that's not even the worst part.

Thanks to Herma—who was the only reason I still draw breath today—the Miasma was slightly coded to first do one thing: target the genitals.

I can't wait to see the look on Odin's face when his precious cock and balls start to rot away.

Sigh... I really want to see it.

But my celebration was cut short by a sudden, chilling sound.

Creeak!... creeak!... creak!...

It was a slow, rhythmic groaning noise, like old, frozen trees rubbing against each other in a dead wind. But there were no trees here. Only ice and fog.

I strained my one good eye, trying to pierce the wall of white. For a moment, I saw nothing. Then, a shape moved in the fog.

A huge round shape at first, and as it drew closer, I saw it.

It was a polar bear, but not like any bear I had ever seen. It was massive, bigger than the biggest grizzly, its fur a patchwork of dirty white and matted gray, hung from its skeletal frame in frozen clumps. Its skin was a sickly, grayish-blue, and its eyes... its eyes were the worst part.

They weren't the eyes of an animal. They were glowing blue pinpricks of cold, hungry light, devoid of any life or intelligence. They were just... markers, beacons in the fog.

The bear stood on its hind legs, letting out a silent, open-mouthed roar that was nothing but a blast of frigid air, and I saw its muscles.

They were made of ice.

Sculpted, frozen muscles of solid blue ice, interwoven with strands of what looked like dark, necrotic tissue. It was a walking contradiction of life and undeath, a creature of frost and rot.

And it was looking right at me.

Its nostrils flared, tasting the air, and the glowing blue lights in its eye sockets flared brighter. It could smell me. It could smell the blood, the life, the divine energy that was still leaking from my broken body.

I was a warm, fresh steak in a freezer full of expired meat.

'Hmm?... a bear made out of ice?... not very creative,' I thought, a strange sense of calm settling over me. 'I wonder if his cock is made of ice too?'

Herma: [...]

'If he breeds me, would it melt inside me? Would my daughters be born with ice dicks?'

Herma: [...]

'Oh hey, Herma, how are you doing?' I asked in my mind, 'As you can see, an ice bear is about to 'eat' me, but I still don't know what kind.'

Herma: [...]

'Fine... be like that,' I sighed in my mind.

The ice bear dropped back to all fours and started to approach me. Its movements were surprisingly silent, its huge paws making no sound on the frozen ground as it closed the distance.

Me, being the clever little horny goddess I was, I had a plan.

I played dead.

"..."

What?! I had a hole through my stomach, no legs, and no arm, so 'playing dead' wasn't much of an act.

The ice bear reached my side and lowered its massive head, its cold snout sniffing at the gaping wound in my stomach. The cold breath that escaped its nostrils was so intense it froze the edges of my wound, numbing the pain slightly.

Then it bit into my shoulder and started dragging me across the frozen land.

'A bear made of ice and fog... dragging a half-dead goddess with a hole through her stomach... this is the start of a very horny joke,' I thought as the cold ice scraped against my broken body.

Wherever it was taking me, it was better than just lying here waiting for something else to find me. My guess was it was a cave.

I was right.

After what felt like hours of being dragged across the frozen wasteland, the bear pulled me into a dark, gaping maw in the ice—a cave.

The inside was dark and cold, but there was a faint, eerie blue light coming from deeper within. The bear dragged me towards the light, its grip on my shoulder unyielding.

The light source was a cluster of glowing blue crystals embedded in the cave walls. They pulsed with a soft, rhythmic light, and the air was slightly warmer here, though still freezing by any normal standard.

The bear finally let go of my shoulder, dropping me unceremoniously onto the hard, icy floor. I didn't let out a single sound, still playing dead.

However, playing time was bound to be over.

"Sorry, big boy," I said, "I don't hate to fuck on the first date... and to be honest, I prefer warm cock in my pussy."

The bear paused, hearing the strange voice, and the moment he turned to face me, I lunged.

BOOF!

Using my blood magic, I forced my body to explode into a red mist.

The ice bear was caught off guard by the sudden explosion, stumbling back with a roar of frustration. It swiped at the mist with its massive paw, but it was like trying to catch smoke.

But the mist wasn't just for show.

It was a weapon.

The fine particles of my divine blood, infused with my will, swirled around the bear, seeking entry. They found it in the cracks between its icy muscles, in the gaps in its necrotic flesh, in its glowing blue eyes.

Its movement became stiff, and I slowly started to reform my body right above its head.

"Feeding time!" I hissed as my vampire fangs elongated.

They sank deep into the bear's neck, and surprisingly, the ice bear did have blood. A thick, viscous, dark blue liquid that tasted like... well, ice cream that was about to melt, if I'm being honest.

ROAR!

The ice bear thrashed wildly, trying to throw me off, but my fangs were like hooks, and my grip was like iron. I drank deeply, the cold, lifeless energy filling me, healing my broken body.

My missing arm started to regrow, followed by my legs, and the hole in my stomach began to close.

Within seconds, I sucked the bear dry.

The massive creature collapsed, its body shattering into a thousand pieces of ice and frozen fur. I stood over the remains, my body whole again, my power surging through my veins.

"Ahh~... it's good to be back"
