Chapter 414: A Dead World

"AHHH!"

Inside the vortex, both the silver-haired goddess and the red-haired Collector were experiencing what it felt like to be a fruit in a blender. Their bodies were crushed, compacted, stretched, and torn apart by raw mana pressure, their very essences flickering between existence and nothingness.

Morgana's armor cracked first. Her blood magic and breeder skills tried desperately to stabilize her body, but every droplet that escaped was shredded by the swirling chaos around her. Madam X fared no better—her fire sputtered and screamed, snuffed out again and again before reigniting in flashes of molten agony.

"WHAT… THE HELL… DID YOU DO!?" Madam X roared, her voice breaking apart as space itself warped her words.

"I… should… be asking you that!" Morgana snarled back, her crimson eyes glowing like dying suns. She swung her sword toward the Collector, but the strike hit nothing—every movement was distorted, refracted, delayed. The vortex wasn't a portal. It was a dimensional wormhole.

The two women were tumbling through the gap between worlds—between realms not meant to exist.

A place that defied time, space, and life itself.

Then a sudden flash of blue light cut through the void.

The vortex began to pulse faster, the flow tightening, spinning violently around a central point of pure nothingness. The pressure was so intense that both women were... well, literally beginning to turn into worms.

Morgana was sure that she unlocked the "Worm Form" without the need to give birth to one.

Fortunately for both of them, the violent vortex began to slow down, and after two seconds, they were thrown out of the wormhole, landing hard on the ground.

"Guh! GAAAHHH!" Both of the women screamed in pain and horror.

"Fuck this shit!" Madam X cursed, coughing golden ichor as she tried to stand up but failed miserably. The flames covering her body sputtered and died out, leaving her beaten and broken. Her body was a bloody mess of gouges and gashes—too many to count.

Morgana was in a similar condition; this was her second violent teleportation, after all—the first being when she forced her way into Lora's world.

"Ugh… ahhh…" Morgana groaned, vomiting blood as she rolled onto her side. Her entire body ached. Her armor, Hunger, was badly damaged and in need of "feeding" to repair itself. As for the blood chains that still clung to Madam X—they had partially merged with her own body and were tearing her insides apart.

"Ahh..." Morgana rasped, clutching her ribs. Her left arm was twisted backward at an unnatural angle, reforming in slow, painful motion. Her breeder recovery skills were working overtime to bring her body back to the most optimal condition for breeding.

"Hey... Torch-head," she coughed, spitting more blood as she looked at the red-haired Collector who was also trying to stand up. "Where are we?"

"Shut up," Madam X spat weakly. "You… dragged me in here!"

"You're the one who opened the damn hole in space," Morgana snapped back. "I just didn't want to go alone."

They glared at each other through the haze of smoke and pain—two goddesses, broken and furious, yet too exhausted to keep fighting. The silence between them was heavy, brutal, almost suffocating.

The place they landed on was a ruined world—a desolate wasteland of gray dust and bone-dry soil. The air reeked of decay and iron, heavy with a stillness that didn't belong to the living. The sky above was a pale, sickly yellow, cracked with faint streams of light that looked less like sunlight and more like the dying glow of an ancient wound.

Everywhere the eye could see, everything was in ruins—shattered towers leaning like the ribs of a long-dead beast, rivers of black tar oozing sluggishly through fissures in the ground, and twisted corpses of trees whose branches reached upward like they were begging the heavens to return.

"This world is dead," Morgana muttered, slowly forcing herself to her feet. Hunger twitched around her body in half-melted plates, trying to regenerate but failing to draw enough mana to do so.

"..." Madam X slowly got up too, wincing with each step. She looked around the desolated wasteland, her good eye filled with sadness and longing.

This was once her world. The place where she lived for thousands of years. She built it with blood, sweat, and fire. She brought it into the light of existence.

Before she lost her godhood stats, Madam X was one of the few gods who fought against the Void. She was unlucky to be born so close to the frontlines of the war. So instead of focusing on her first world and risking everything, she decided to expand and create a second world in the neighboring galaxy.

She dedicated all of her time and energy to her second world and managed to rise in ranks, reaching Gold.

Unfortunately, she never thought that during a World vs World match, her opponent would dare to use a Void creature as a bioweapon. And it was an epic failure—the Void ate her world from the inside, leaving nothing behind.

Sadly, her misfortune didn't stop there. After the loss of her second world, she was forced to go back to her first one, and just after ten years, the Void managed to breach into her galaxy and destroyed everything, including her first world.

In order to survive, Madam X made a deal with the Nexus to become a Collector.

"It's been… millennia," she whispered. "I never thought I'd see this place again."

"You're saying this is your world?" Morgana, still clutching her side, tilted her head.

Madam X didn't answer; she stood still, her crimson hair whipping in the toxic wind, her molten eye dimmed by exhaustion and grief.

"...Was." Her voice cracked. She swallowed the bitterness and raised her head, meeting Morgana's eyes.

This world was outside the Nexus's control. The system was useless here, and her plan was to send the silver-haired goddess to die here—but who would have thought that she would drag her along?

'Sigh... Well, it doesn't matter,' she shook her head, gathering what remained of her divine strength. 'I have a way out of here. All I need to do is reach the hidden bunker.'

She was silent, but in her mind, she began to count down the seconds.

'Three...'

'Two...'

'One...'

Then...

"O Flame, heed my call!" Madam X shouted with her full voice as she invoked the ancient spell and activated her divine energy. "Thy power, hear my plea, grant me one final hope!"

Her flames roared in response, rising from the ground around her in a pillar of light that cut through the toxic air like a knife.

"What the—!?" Morgana gasped, stepping back as a ring of flames materialized around them—a perfect circle of blazing power.

It was the most powerful fire-based spell Madam X had; she no longer needed to limit her power like the last time. The Nexus could not track her.

"O Flame, hear my cry and blaze the path before me!"

Madam X's voice tore through the still, lifeless air. Her words carried weight—divine, ancient, and laced with desperation. The ground trembled beneath her feet as the circle of fire widened, devouring the ash and dust around them. The very air seemed to ignite as the spell blazed brighter than the dying sky.

"Damnit…" Morgana muttered, shielding her face with her arm. The heat was so intense that it felt like her skin was melting. "I guess this is her last resort!"

Morgana was surprisingly calm despite being surrounded by fire. It was the first time she saw Madam X unleash her full strength, so she decided not to interrupt her and let her use all the divine energy she had.

It made things much easier for the tiny blood seal that was inside the red-haired woman to take form.

'Killing her is a waste of potential. I need to break her body and make her my slave,' Morgana thought as the flames rose higher, spiraling upward like a vortex of pure destruction. And from the heart of that inferno came a sound. A roar.

The pillar twisted, folding in on itself, and within moments, a colossal figure began to emerge—a burning silhouette wreathed in molten chains. The creature's form was humanoid, but its body burned like a living sun. Its hollow eyes opened, dripping magma.

"Ohh... a flame titan," Morgana narrowed her eyes, seeing a creature from her past. She turned, wanting to throw a sly comment at Madam X's face, but she was surprised that the red-haired Collector wasn't standing there anymore.

'...Where is she?' she thought, confused. But when she closed her eyes for a moment, sensing the blood inside her, she found that the red-haired woman was flying east.

"Does she have a way out of this place?" Morgana wondered. The Nexus system was out of reach, so she couldn't teleport to her world, and Lora's pink sticker was destroyed.

FUSSHHH!

The flame titan made a move, attempting to crush Morgana, but the latter flew out of the way.

"Slaying flame titans is easy," she sighed as she created a massive blood bubble around the flame titan. "Just avoid their attacks, and draining oxygen is the only way to kill them."

....

Thirty minutes later.

Fussh!

Madam X landed on the cracked surface of an old palace, her entire body covered in wounds. The flames she used to create the flame titan consumed too much of her divinity.

She was in her true form—a woman with crimson hair that fused into flames at the ends, wearing a black business suit with an eyepatch around her right eye.

She didn't linger long outside the palace and quickly made her way inside toward the underground vault that was at the heart of the building. Unlike the medieval style of the palace, the vault was built in a more futuristic way, with metal doors, security sensors, and a lock that even a god couldn't open without the right key.

"It's been so long since I used this." She let out a sigh as she created the "key" using her last drop of divine energy. And the moment she did—

Badump!

"WHAT!—... UGHHH!!"

Morgana's blood seal found no resistance and instantly formed roots inside her core. She tried to resist it, she tried to shove her hand through her chest and dig the seal out of her body, but before she had the chance—

"Finally," a voice suddenly echoed behind her as she felt two pale arms loop around Madam X's throat.

"H-How?.." Madam X's voice broke in disbelief, staring at the silver-haired goddess that appeared behind her. "You were—"

"Busy killing your toy." Morgana's breath was cold against her ear. "Flame titans suffocate. Eventually."

"B-But?!..."

"You didn't think I would let you leave so easily? No. That would be a waste." Morgana's cold smile widened as she reached with one hand to rip X's black suit, exposing her bare breasts.

"S-Stop!" Madam X shivered in fear and rage. "You... whore!..."

SLAP!

Morgana slapped X hard across the face, her smile cold and mocking. She tightened her grip on X's throat, squeezing harder, digging her fingers into the skin.

"A slave mustn't speak to their master like that."
