Chapter 409: Hang On, My Child
Morgana was having a great lunchtime with Hikari and her family. The kitsune girl was desperately trying for the last few days to recapture her lover's attention, and Morgana was all too happy to oblige her.
It was also a great opportunity for Morgana to break that hellish routine of training in the virtual reality room against monsters from her past, as well as the superhuman experiment that was going on inside her holy temple.
So far, the results were... unpleasant. Out of 100 humans, only 2 of them survived the early genetic enhancement, and the rest died within the first day.
'Sigh... how I wish that Lilith or Victoria were here,' she thought. 'They can make this entire process much faster; they were good with numbers, unlike me.'
However, not all of it was bad. Herma, the artificial assistant created by Anamnesis, was helping Morgana with this experiment. It wouldn't be long before Morgana would be able to create her uncorrupted super soldiers.
"Heheh," Morgana chuckled, sneakily throwing a glance under the table where two hands were secretly pleasuring her.
'Well... foxes are really sneaky.'
To the right of Morgana sat Hikari, eating her lunch while smiling and chatting with her siblings, and to the left was Hikari's mother—a mature fox-kin with a decent figure—who was currently doing the same thing as her daughter.
Stroking Morgana's cock.
'They are so cute,' she thought, looking at them. 'It feels nice to have a family like this.'
To make things easier for them and not draw attention or freak the shit out of everyone, Morgana grew two cocks so each one of them could jerk her off at the same time.
At first, it was just a simple lunch, but both Hikari and her mother were so eager to please, and Morgana didn't say no to that. In fact, she liked this type of secret affection and decided to play along with their game.
As for the lunch, well, it was everything but simple—made by the best chef in all of Vandor Kingdom. When Samantha knew that her goddess was going to have lunch, she immediately jumped on the opportunity, never questioning why a goddess needed to eat, and prepared a lunch fit for a royal family.
The main meal was... ahem... rabbit meat.
Morgana informed the blonde maid that her guests were fox-kin, so... yeah... it was rabbit meat. That's why Morgana placed a barrier around the table, preventing anyone from seeing or approaching them, especially the rabbit-kin.
'Maybe I should invite Celeste or Cotton?' The thought did cross her mind. 'Naah~ that would be too cruel.'
"Yes," Morgana mused, savoring the taste of the rich, seared rabbit loin. "This is exactly the break I needed. No more endless data streams, no more dead test subjects, no more screaming at Herma about optimization algorithms."
The kitsune mother, with her gentle smile, met Morgana's eyes over the rim of her wine glass. The red wine stained her lips like a kiss. She winked seductively while her hand never left the goddess's cock. Hikari, on the other hand, continued to chat with her siblings, pretending to ignore Morgana, but her up-and-down stroking started to get a little rough.
Everything was peaceful, quiet, and nice.
Until.
"MOTHER!! HELP!"
A scream broke the peace, a voice filled with fear and terror echoed inside Morgana's mind.
"WHAT?!" Morgana instantly became alert as she tried to use her offspring link to determine the source of the scream.
"What's going on?" Hikari and her mother both looked around, confused.
"Something's not right," Morgana growled, tossing the half-eaten meal aside. "Hikari, I need to go; one of my kids is in danger."
She didn't wait for a response before teleporting straight to the administrator's room inside the Nightmare Tower, where her power was unlimited.
"Who's in danger?" Morgana quickly scanned thousands of offspring links to find which daughter was in danger. The process took a few seconds to complete, but she was able to determine who it was and where she was.
"Nyari'ael? Is it you? Did something happen to my daughter?"
Morgana was even more worried when she couldn't instantly find the correct link. In normal circumstances, Morgana should be able to sense her daughter even if she were on another planet. She tested it before when she was in Lora's world, and Morgana was able to speak to Luna through the link.
But right now... it was like Nyari'ael just disappeared from her mind.
[No... Blocked.] Herma suddenly spoke up inside Morgana's mind. [Something is blocking her link.]
"Blocked? Like what?"
No matter how hard she tried, Morgana couldn't locate or speak through Nyari'ael's link, and it was a very bad sign.
"Mother, some bad people here are hurting big sister Lora!" Again, Nyari'ael's voice rang in her mind—it was filled with pain and fear. Somehow she was able to send her voice but not receive.
"Nyari'ael!" Morgana gritted her teeth. "What happened to Lora? Who is doing this?"
Swiftly, Morgana pulled out the Nexus System and sent a message to Lora, and when the latter didn't respond after a minute, Morgana lost it.
"FUCK!" she cursed, slamming her fist on the long desk, causing it to shatter. "Damn that... I'm going there!"
With that, the goddess pulled the pink cat sticker that Lora gave her as a key to her world.
FUSSHH!
The blue portal opened up normally, but when Morgana tried to pass, she couldn't.
"What the fuck?" she roared in shock as she tried again but failed. "It should be open!"
"MOTHER!... THEY ARE HURTING BIG SISTER LORA!"
The panic in Nyari'ael's voice was like thunder in the night—the desperation, the sorrow, the terror of seeing someone you love being hurt.
It was an emotion so primal that every mother would know.
"HURRY, MOTHER! HURRY! PLEASE!"
But there was nothing Morgana could do.
"I'M GOING TO SAVE HER MOTHER!... Fobo said if we break the thing around the scary lady's hand, big sister Lora would be able to escape!"
"NOO! NYARI... DON'T!!!" Morgana cried out through the link, but her daughter couldn't hear it. "DON'T DO THIS TO ME! STOP!"
But Nyari'ael's link was gone, as if she just...
No... it was impossible.
"Why? Why is this happening?" Morgana clenched her teeth, gritting so hard that blood dripped from her lips. She swiftly sent messages to Katarina and Lucy explaining the situation while Herma was searching through the Nexus, trying to find information about a skill, ability, or artifact that had the power to seal off worlds.
And based on Nyari'ael's last words, most likely it was an artifact of some kind.
"Oh fuck..." Morgana cursed. "NOOO... Nyari'ael, don't do this to me!"
The feeling of helplessness sank into her like a blade. For a mother, that sensation was unbearable—the silence of a broken bond, the cold emptiness where a child's light once glowed.
"It's okay, Nyari'ael. I'm going to get you back. You'll be safe."
She whispered the words, trying to convince herself. But they rang hollow. The portal still didn't open.
Thirty seconds had passed, and neither Lucy nor Katarina responded to her messages. Morgana's breathing turned sharp and uneven. Her nails dug into her palms until blood trickled down her fingers.
"Fuck it... I can't stay still here while my daughter and friend are in danger."
When shit hit the fan and nothing worked out as it should, there was one thing that always worked for Morgana.
Brute force.
Without hesitation, Morgana took control of the Nightmare Tower. She expelled everyone who was inside, sealing it off completely. Then she directed all of the tower's mana toward her body.
"Hang on, baby, Mother's coming."
One of the worst decisions that a person could make is to threaten the safety of the most precious thing in a mother's life—her child.
"UGAAAHHH!"
With a mighty roar, Morgana channeled all of the different energies that she currently possessed. The tower's mana, divine energy, divine aspects, and blood magic—all of these were directed toward one single purpose:
Destroy.
"URAARHGHHH!"
She screamed as the violent, unstable mix of energies tore through her divine body. The Nightmare Tower itself shook in agony, its foundations rumbling as its entire mana core poured into its goddess.
Stepping in front of the blue portal, Morgana extended her arms and 'grabbed' the barrier that was preventing her from passing through.
At first, it was invisible—intangible, like glass between worlds—but under her will, it took shape. The air crackled. The barrier rippled into view, a translucent dome of divine architecture threaded with runes that burned golden.
"Found you…" Morgana hissed through clenched teeth.
She pulled.
The resistance was immense, like carrying the world on her shoulders. But she pushed. Her fingers sank into the light as if through molten metal; her skin cracked and blistered, but Morgana kept pulling, tearing, screaming.
Ding!
[Morgana! You can't! It's too dangerous! The risk of damaging your soul is too high!] Herma warned inside her mind.
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" Morgana screamed back as she pulled harder, her divine energy surging out from her body. "YOU CAN'T STOP ME! THIS IS FOR MY DAUGHTER'S SAFETY! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!"
A deep, tearing sensation reverberated through her soul like an echo. The barrier trembled and shook. Runes flashed white-hot as they carved themselves into her skin. But she pulled. Again, and again, and again.
And then...
ROAR!!!
With a final roar, Morgana tore.
The barrier screamed—a shattering sound that echoed across dimensions. Cracks spiderwebbed through the portal, light spilling through the fractures like liquid sun. The runes that had bound Lora's world began to unravel, one by one, as the Nightmare Tower poured everything it had into the breach.
"Almost… there…" Morgana's voice trembled. Blood dripped from her lips, from her nose, from the corners of her eyes. "Just… a little more…"
As the barrier gave way, Morgana didn't hesitate, not even for a second. With a cry of primal rage, she shoved her entire being into the portal.
"Nyari'ael, Lora, hold on!" She shouted. "I'm coming!!"
