Chapter 398: Welcome to the Den
I left the gaming hub, leaving behind a stunned gaming goddess who kept touching her lips and blinking wildly.
Following the map of the city, I managed to find the portal that would take me to the Red District.
The Nexus had been strange before—clean streets of shimmering marble, holographic billboards, gods drifting past like living statues—but the Red District felt like stepping into a different reality. The air itself seemed thicker, perfumed with sweat, incense, and something sweetly metallic.
Neon runes glowed on every wall, advertising brothels, theaters, fighting pits, and gambling halls. Statues of naked deities lined the avenues, their stone eyes glowing faintly as if alive. And above, the sky—if it even was a sky—was a pool of golden red stars, burning with all the color of embers.
"Interesting."
And of course, there were so many half-naked bodies. Everywhere.
Everywhere I looked, bodies glistened like offerings. Skin kissed by divine light, muscles carved like art, wings fluttering in lazy arcs above wine-soaked balconies. Pleasure wasn't hidden here—it was the law of the land.
My kind of place.
Some women sat in lit windows, thighs parted, inviting stares like roses. Others were strutting, hips swaying, while men fell over their heels at their feet like begging dogs. Some were drunk and others simply laughing, feeding each other handfuls of grapes in the shadows of a grove. Every sight, every scent was like an arrow in my loins. My senses thrummed, awakened, aching for a single thing.
'I want a big fat cock right NOW!!' my horny mind literally screamed. I can't even remember the last time I took a dick inside me.
Every man I passed held my gaze. And not like I used to in the mortal world when men would stare and mutter, wondering just who that sexy creature they just saw was.
No.
Their gazes locked, lust swelling against my skin as if the air itself had swallowed the word BREED ME! and that sent happy little jolts straight to my pussy.
"Ahh~…" A soft moan escaped my throat before I could even swallow it back down. The sound vanished into the din of the Red District, swallowed into the throbbing music and pulsing voices. But in the fraction of a heartbeat, every head nearby snapped in my direction.
"Oh well...." I chuckled softly under my breath before pulling out the red card Lucy gave me.
The thing pulsed in my palm once before a small arrow appeared on the card, pointing towards my right. I followed the arrow till the end of the street, where the air grew hotter, heavier. Lanterns shaped like open mouths swung from chains overhead. Music drifted through the haze—slow drums and a low, throaty voice singing in a language older than gods.
Soon I found myself standing before a five-story building. A crimson door with gold etchings made an inviting curve, pulsing faintly with divine charm. It wasn't just painted red—it bled red, as if color itself had melted into the wood. The runes along the frame whispered softly, teasing the edges of my mind like fingers tracing skin.
Above the entrance, carved in flowing script that shimmered like wine under candlelight, were the words:
THE SCARLET DEN.
"Found you," I murmured, raising an eyebrow. I reached for the door, but it creaked open before I could even graze the knob. The darkness within opened slowly, the shape of a woman resolving from the dark like ink rising from water.
Black from head to toe with medium breasts, yet I couldn't even tell what the hell she was. Her entire body was covered with a thick layer of black substance that hid everything and gave nothing away.
However, with my breeding sense that helps me determine if my target was a good breeding partner or not, I was easily able to figure out that the woman in front of me wasn't alive.
She gave the same feeling as when I first saw Number Seven. A puppet.
"Invitation?" The woman stepped forward, a faint hiss of gears grinding out beneath her voice. It was like she spoke through metal, cold, uncaring, robotic. But the heat of her gaze swept across my body, studying, assessing, calculating.
I lifted the red card between two claws, and the woman tilted her head slightly as if to see it—or to be more accurate, she scanned it.
"Ah. Goddess Lucy's card. Please come in... Lady." The woman nodded as she took the card, her body moving backward to allow me to pass.
"Welcome to the Scarlet Den."
At that moment, the darkness came alight. Red and gold bloomed across the walls like spilled wine, a hall stretched wide and beautiful, lined with mirrors and silk. Each mirror wasn't a reflection but a window—flickers of other rooms, other pleasures, other gods. Bodies sprawling, moaning, mouths straining, dripping, stretched wide and waiting to be fucked.
'So this is how a brothel in the city of the gods looks like,' I mused, looking at one of the mirrors that showed a male god spanking the bare ass of a beautiful goddess. 'Not bad.'
"What can I do for you, Lady?" The puppet-woman glided toward me, and with the darkness gone, her appearance was much more noticeable.
She had charcoal-like skin, both in color and texture, that looked carved rather than born—smooth in places, cracked in others, glowing faintly red through the seams like magma trapped under stone. A faint trail of smoke coiled from her shoulders each time she moved. Her eyes, two narrow slits of burning amber, flickered in rhythm with her words.
Up close, she smelled faintly of fire and roses. The effect was… unsettling but beautiful in its own way—like an artwork that shouldn't have life, yet somehow did.
And of course, I couldn't help but wonder how my cock would feel inside her.
"I am the attendant of the house," she said, her tone perfectly even, though every syllable carried a tiny metallic echo. "If you seek pleasure, I can guide you. If you seek business, I can introduce you. The Scarlet Den requires intent, Lady."
"Well, I came here to make money," I said lightly, dragging a claw through my hair. "But depending on who's asking, I might leave with less coin and more satisfaction."
"You wish to work here?" Her head tilted, just a fraction.
"Yes." I nodded, eager to start.
"You're the goddess of?"
"Sex."
"Acknowledged." The woman nodded, her voice barely shifting tone, though I swore I saw a faint shimmer of excitement ripple through the molten cracks along her skin.
Snap!
She then snapped her fingers, causing the red card in my hand to glow for a few seconds before it died out.
"The approval is complete. Welcome to the Scarlet Den and congratulations, my Lady," she said, taking a step toward me. "If you have any further questions, please allow me to answer them."
"Could you please explain to me how the system works here?" I decided to only ask basic questions; the rest would be up to me to find out—it was all part of the fun.
"Very well." The attendant started walking further into the building, and I decided to follow her. "Your earnings will depend on your level, type of clients, customers, and the hours you work."
"The Scarlet Den has nine floors, each one dedicated to a certain... need," she explained. "As an employee here, you only have the first and the second floors unlocked to you."
"How do I unlock the rest?" I asked.
"Simple," she answered. "Offer your services and satisfy the clients. The red card will track your progress automatically and unlock the next floor."
"What type of clients can I take?" This was one of the most important questions for me. Money is secondary; my goal was to fuck and get fucked by every single big-dicked god in the Red District. And it won't do me any good if a certain cock wasn't allowed to fuck me.
"All clients on the allowed floors are open for you, Lady, as long as you can satisfy their needs. However, we have a few VIPs you don't have access to yet." The attendant suddenly stopped walking and turned to me.
"Be careful, my Lady. If you fail to satisfy a client, it will have repercussions," she warned.
"I fully understand," I smirked.
"We hope to hear great things from you, Goddess," the woman said while bowing in a polite manner before she moved towards a certain glass double door that was half covered with red curtains.
"We have now arrived," she said and extended a hand toward the door. "This is the break room. Feel free to rest as much as you like; we have many different beverages and foods."
'Finally.'
I was about to push the door, but then I stopped, turning to the attendant one last time.
"One last quick question—where can I pick up my clients, and what about my payment?"
"Use your red card, my Lady," she said, explaining. "It will grant you access to our local system; there, you can find clients asking for service. Additionally, you can also offer your services by reaching the receptionist. As for the payment, we have two methods."
"First is the hourly pay," she continued, "you can offer your services directly to the Den itself. It keeps your identity private and assigns you anonymous work through the network."
"For now, you can work in the gloryhole."
"Ohh~... interesting." I couldn't help but imagine sucking dozens of strangers cocks without knowing who they belonged to—it was the best way for the horny in me to relax.
"The second method," she went on, "is through personal contracting. Either you or the client approaches the other, and you discuss terms and agreement. You'll keep 90% of the price offered per job, while 10% would go to the Den."
"Nice!" This was an ideal way for me to grow more intimate with the client—a real boner. "This would be all for now."
"I wish you the best of luck, Lady." The woman bowed once again before heading back down the hall, leaving me standing before the red double doors, impatiently tapping my foot.
"Ohhh yes, this was going to be so much fun."
