Chapter 118 Mara*

Mara had begun pulling further and further away from us as time went on. Every year, we’d see her less; every year, she’d make herself more reclusive. The wound she suffered from her rival had all but healed, but she stayed around waiting. Waiting for me to reach the next status recalibration, and once I did, she pounced. I heard after the fact(as I was unconscious) that she showed up and dragged me off while I was still undergoing it.

I woke up by being jostled awake. She hadn’t even waited for me to regain my consciousness before she mounted me. Whatever allowed her to know once I began also allowed her to know when it was finally safe to have sex with me, and that is what she did. The entire situation was crazy. One moment, I’m picking crops out in the field, managing to pick a few epic ones in a row. Then I pass out trying to make it back to my house, and when I finally do wake up, it’s to a beautiful purple-haired goddess riding me as her life depended on it.

My hands instinctively grasped her waist even before my eyes opened. I watched the scene of her riding me in the cowgirl position. Her body bounced up and down, her breasts a tantalizing target as my senses were still coming online. I, once again, had no choice in our first time, as it was taken from me again. All the women around me seemed not to mind, but it was getting ridiculous that almost half of the women I slept with wanted to when I wasn’t in full control of my faculties.

There was an intense desperation to her, bouncing as if she had waited years for this moment. Well, she did wait years, but I just wasn’t aware that she had any interest in me and thought she’d be leaving soon on account of her pulling away from my family. Turns out, she did so because she’d have fucked me and made me explode in the process.

She had a raw, animalistic nature to her that her human facade couldn’t hide. A bestial nature that wanted to claim me, screw the consequences, but her intellect, age, and wisdom stopped her from making a mistake she’d regret for the foreseeable future. The stats I could provide her were paltry to a dragon, but every stat mattered in life-or-death struggles against rivals.

Her entire loss could have been reversed if her agility had been high enough to avoid the attack that landed, or perception to see the attack coming, intellect to know not to fight, endurance to weaken the blow, and strength to allow a more powerful counterattack. The biggest alteration to the situation, though, would have been luck.

Her stats were over a hundred, all except luck, which still had barely reached over four. Luck almost never mattered… Until it did; then it made all the difference. With the luck I provided, she’d have fucked me just for that, but apparently, being around me and seeing me be such a good man made her want to fuck me for other reasons.

I stopped thinking about why she’d want to fuck me and began fucking her back. My hips bucking up into her, which made her look on in shock as I penetrated her farther than she had gone before. Over a millennium of life, possibly hundreds of partners, but the depths I reached her while she was in her humanoid form did something to her that no one else ever had. It made her feel full and satisfied.

I had climaxed while I was asleep, and it didn’t appear it was her first orgasm either, but hitting deeper than she could reach herself set her off in a way she couldn’t by herself. It looked like my thrust knocked the wind out of her; she sat on me, shaking with her mouth open for several seconds before she finally began to moan in pleasure.

I could tell I was close to flipping her brain off with that orgasm; she was a second away from passing out before her brain rebooted. I hugged her to me as I rolled our positions around and began fucking her anew. While she had plenty of sex, very rarely did she let the males mount her, especially if they weren’t dragons. All she could do was take it and hold on for dear life as I brought her to orgasm over and over again.

Hours of fucking, changing positions, and her polymorphing herself into other races left me drained as we finished. I lay there, heaving for breath as she lay next to me in a half-draconic form. She felt more comfortable in this form than her humanoid one, only taking on the human appearance because of us. Now that she was comfortable with me, she was fine being in her true form.

She could alter her size, which led to her bullying me as a much bigger woman until she realized she didn’t much like that, instead shrinking down to a similar size to her humanoid form. The only difference was her appearance. Metallic dragons were good(usually), chromatic dragons were evil(usually), and gem dragons were neutral(usually).

Her purple lustrous scales would lead you to believe she was a purple dragon, but no, they shimmered like purple diamonds, because she was an amethyst dragon. Considered the strongest of dragons, they tended to be reclusive, only coming out of their hiding spots when they were looking for potential mates, taking sometimes centuries before they found someone that fit their standards… They were also the most likely to breed outside of their own race.

For a brief instant, her looks reminded me a little of Tems, but that didn’t make sense. She had white hair, while Mara had none; she was part kobold, but certainly more human-looking than kobold-looking. Just the mannerisms, maybe. I couldn’t help but caress her smooth body; her amethyst scales took more after the finished product of smooth jewellery instead of the jagged version you’d find in a cluster.

She smiled at the attention as she nuzzled up into me even closer. With how close she was, my neck vibrated when she spoke. “You know. I’ve been thinking about doing that for almost a decade now, and with all my imagination, I never thought it would be that good.” I couldn’t help but preen like a peacock at the compliment. It was one thing to hear it from my other wives, but a completely different thing to hear it from the mouth of a dragon.

I rubbed her back as I responded. “I’m glad you enjoyed it… I hope you won't leave now that you’ve accomplished your goal.” We sat in silence just listening to each other breathe for more than I was comfortable with before she finally responded. “No, I don’t think I’m going to leave anytime soon. You’re my mate now. So I have to stay around and keep you safe… And this might be a nice place to raise my children once I have them.”

I wasn’t sure if she knew she was already pregnant, or if she planned to have children with me eventually, but I was excited by the idea. I felt a stretching of my very soul, like pushing against something anymore could tear me apart, and I knew it was because sleeping with Mara was all I could handle at the moment.

Given enough time, I could claim more wives. If I underwent another status recalibration, I could add another dozen more, but did I really want that? I don’t think I did. That would just complicate the already precarious situation I had, and I was now more focused on raising my children than finding more wives. I knew, with my luck, more wives would come to me if the world wanted it to happen.
