Chapter 871 – Stashing the warehouse

"..." The girl didn't know what to think.

"How about arming the Foxes with these?" While most of them couldn't be used, some of them might still be usable.

Foxes were very... unique in their likes and dislikes, so they might not like these weapons. Of course, scrapping them is another option, but let's not do that just yet.

"I will think about it. I will also ask others for their opinion." Witch Aiko was not that big of a sucker for weapons. If needed there was a sling or a flag. Anything else? Not really necessary.

"Very well." The girl smiled briefly before dragging Aiko away once again.

"Oh? What is that?" Aiko pointed to miniatures of buildings.

"Oh that? Those are supposed to be Treasures, but we have no idea how to activate them." The girl tilted her head.

Witch Aiko walked over to look at it. These miniatures were small and cute, but this also gave her an idea.

'Why build large buildings, when you can enlarge small ones...' There could also be safety features, the same that are in the continental flying ship, and you would have a perfect home with a fraction of materials.

'But then the elements might get messed up...' Witch Aiko groaned, but this was not too bad for a temporary residence. 'For example, exploring the Realms.' She nodded her head.

"They are cute, can I keep them too?" Witch Aiko asked the Ancestral Beast.

"Of course. Our Clan will cease to exist with us, so it's better to take anything you like and what you don't like, you can scrap or destroy later." The girl smiled at her.

"No selling?" Witch Aiko tilted her head.

"Why enrich your opponents?" The girl chuckled.

"Well, even if you enrich them, can they use it properly?" Witch Aiko questioned that reasoning.

"You should always assume that they are capable of that. That way you will prevent the worst case scenario." The girl smiled self-deprecatingly.

"I will keep that in mind." Witch Aiko nodded her head. 'Let's make them happy first.' She had the Bloodline books, so she would pick something powerful for her.

'How about something that encompasses knowledge?' Witch Aiko pondered, but it would be better if she let the girl pick what she liked too.

"Good." The girl smiled.

Like this, they went around for the Herbs and other things. Not much was left in this warehouse, considering the previous size of the Clan, but that couldn't be helped.

That 'guest' finished most of the food and the Treasures were used for bargaining. Two individuals have no means utilising everything, but they needed the funds.

The girl believed that Aiko was smart enough to not need to sell something that could be used against her just because she lacks money...

"Okay. Let's just stash everything." Witch Aiko chuckled as she turned briefly into Sun Aiko. Her tails expanded through the Solar Essence and encompassed the whole warehouse.

'Whoa, this drains me even more than battles.' Sun Aiko sighed briefly before turning into Witch Aiko.

"Okay~" Witch Aiko hummed, turning around. "Hm?"

There, the Ancestral Beast stood unmoving. Just staring blankly into the distance.

"Hey?" Witch Aiko waved her hand, but the girl didn't move. She still had that blank stare, like she just observed the universe unfolding in front of her.

"Oh, she malfunctioned." Witch Aiko smirked.

*Smack*

"Kya!" The girl jumped, clearly startled.

"Hehe~" Witch Aiko giggled, that shape, that elasticity, that firmness-!

"Y-you-!" The girl stared at Aiko like she was a devil. Nobody ever spanked her butt before!

Witch Aiko sniffed her hand. "Divine~"

"Pervert!" The girl chased after Aiko, clearly embarrassed.

"Kekekeke~" Witch Aiko was the best when it came to moles- *Cough* cheering up others!

"Hold it right there!" The girl wanted to reprimand Aiko and chased her around.

*woof*

The 3 chased after each other before briefly pausing.

Aiko looked at the girl, the girl looked at Aiko. Then the both of them looked behind them, spotting a certain uninvited guest.

"Nero, wants to chase too~" Nero was already waiting there, with her eyes clearly excited.

"Run away!" Witch Aiko wouldn't be captured!

"Fufu~" The girl chuckled. "Let's chase her, okay?" She patted the uninvited guest.

"Nero is the best at chasing cuties~" Nero immediately rushed after that Foxy.

"That's not fair! Bullying!" Witch Aiko cried out as she was chased away.

"Uwah." The Nightmare Owl breathed heavily. "She has too much energy. I'm sorry Sis..." She apologised to her sister.

"How about taking that off?" The Ancestral Beast smiled at her.

"But twins are bad luck..." The Nightmare Owl sighed.

"It's fine, since we won't be living here from now on." The Ancestral Beast smiled gently at her, patting her softly.

"Sis..." The Nightmare Owl was clearly sad about her sister.

"Of course, we are going together." The Ancestral Beast chuckled.

"Is that even possible? I heard that she can't contract any more. It would be a burden on her Soul." The Nightmare Owl was concerned that they would be harming her.

"Is that what Aiko told you?" The Ancestral Beast tilted her head.

"No?" The Nightmare Owl was confused.

"Then why are you deciding things for her?" The Ancestral Beast chuckled.

"Sis..." The Nightmare Owl pursed her lips. She didn't want to make her sister sad, but there was only so much one person could do...

"You worry too much." The Ancestral Beast was mostly healed and while other injuries would take time, she could be said to be in her prime.

Her Soul was no longer bloated, that dagger disappeared who knows where-

'At first I thought it was some kind of technique, but those tails are definitely alive.' The Ancestral beast narrowed her eyes. 'It will be so much fun following her around~' She was quite happy. 'But that slap-' She wouldn't let Aiko live that down!

...

"..." Witch Aiko gave up, becoming the hug toy of the Beast called Nero.

"You look nice." The Ancestral Beast giggled at her misfortune.

"Shat up." Witch Aiko was clearly annoyed, but she didn't move much.

"Fluffy~" Nero was currently ruffling her tails and if she moved wrongly, she would just store her in Aiko's tails.

'I'm not sure how well the injured Demonic Foxes are faring...' Witch Aiko pursed her lips. It was better to suffer for a bit instead of making others suffer.

'Let's just take time with this.' Witch Aiko nodded her head.

"You can't move because of those tails?" The Ancestral Beast tilted her head.

'As sharp as ever.' Witch Aiko found that others were also sharp, but they never let it on. Instead, this girl was more honest, probably because Aiko would be banging two sisters now.

"Unfortunately, the control is not perfect." Witch Aiko shrugged. 'Especially since Sun Aiko didn't have enough Solar Essence.' She pretty much was running on fumes.

'But it's good everything is doing fine.' Witch Aiko nodded her head. Moon Aiko would deal with this later, but first she had to get out of this place for that to happen.

Witch Aiko patted Nero, who was clearly asleep. 'She feels similar to me? Is she not from here?' She pondered for a while about this before giving up. It didn't seem like Nero would answer her, but that unique name... 'Whatever.'

"I heard that you can't contract other Beasts." The Ancestral Beast smiled, but the implication was clear.

"Ah, I suppose." Witch Aiko nodded her head.

"?" The Ancestral Beast tilted her head. She didn't expect that kind of answer, but the reason was obvious.

[You can no longer Contract ordinary Beasts.][Each Beast will be evaluated based on your criteria and criteria of Fate.][The Beast must have a stable enough mind to be able to accompany you through the journey.]

[The individual 'Ancestral Beast of the Nightmare Owl Clan' is eligible. Her Soul is damaged, and her Cultivation is shallow. She is the perfect target for the Contract.]

[The individual 'Nightmare Owl of the Nightmare Owl Clan' is barely eligible. Thanks to the connection to her sister, she is suffering bounds of pain. She is the perfect target for the Contract.]

"Something like that, yes." Witch Aiko nodded her head. She could no longer contract whoever she wished, but she also didn't have a limit on how many she could contract.

"Honestly. I like this body." The girl sulked. "But if I can leave this place, with a clear mind and body..." The Ancestral Beast smiled faintly.

"You don't have to leave immediately. I mean, I don't have to contract you immediately." Witch Aiko reassured her. She didn't have to do it right now. If they wanted to spend time in their bodies.

"No." The Ancestral Beast shook her head. "The sooner we leave, the better."

"Ummm, Sis?" The Nightmare Owl came and went. However, this time her expression was strange.

"What is it?" The Ancestral Beast smirked. She probably already knew what her sister would be talking about.

"D-did someone steal from our warehouse?" The Nightmare Owl stuttered. Their precious warehouse was completely empty! What happened to it?!

"Oh, we took it." The Ancestral Beast chuckled.

"Took it...?" The Nightmare Owl was trying to process that information.

"Yep, it's with us." The Ancestral Beast seemed like she was playing a prank on her sister.

"Right..." So the Nightmare Owl's reaction was only natural. "Okay, where are our Treasures then? We have to let Aiko choose some."

"They are with her." The Ancestral Beast beckoned towards Aiko.

"They are with me~" Witch Aiko said cheerfully, but her tails were really heavy and not because of all the Treasures.

"..." The Nightmare Owl almost spat out blood, but fortunately, she decided to ignore everything about this situation.

"Oh and prepare accommodation for Aiko. She will be staying here for a while." The Ancestral Beast smiled.

"Oh~?" Witch Aiko smirked at her, licking her lips.

"Yeah~" The Ancestral Beast smirked back, the tension in the air was incredible, even the Nightmare Owl was blushing.

"After all, you won't be able to wake her up." The Ancestral Beast suddenly changed her expression, laughing at Aiko.

"Eh? Ah! You-!" Witch Aiko felt played with, glaring at her, but... 'Wait, how am I supposed to wake her up?'

Nero's traits:

Heavy sleeper when it comes to fluff.Receives virtually no damage.Ignores loud noises during sleep.Has thick protection against temperature differences.

"..." Witch Aiko blankly stared at the ceiling, like she already gave up trying.

"Whoa... That was quick." The Ancestral Beast chuckled.

"Whose fault is that?!" Witch Aiko glared at her.

"Not mine." The Ancestral Beast played innocent.

"I'm sorry..." The Nightmare Owl sniffled.

"It's not your fault..." Witch Aiko felt like they were playing with her. 'Right! I will learn from my companions!' She would become more cunning about things-!
