Chapter 868 – Ornament and Warehouse

Witch Aiko took out the Pills that were supposed to be used in the Sacred Realm... and before. She didn't need them, but this girl was the perfect target to use them on.

"Hm? All of them are at least Perfect Quality? Who did you rob??" The Ancestral Beast was startled as Perfect Quality Pills were rare. Mostly because once a person gained enough attainment to make higher grade Pills, then they had no need to make lower grade Pills.

This caused a sour effect, which dried up the reserves of the Perfect Quality Pills.

Those Pill Refiners could make them since they were knowledgeable enough, but since higher grade Pills were worth much more, then they stopped making lower grade Pills.

They also never learned about Runes, so Pill Inscriptions were not a thing.

All of this combined and their arrogance caused Perfect Quality Pills to be a commodity treasured at around 50 to 100 times the price of the usual Pill.

"Now open wide~" Witch Aiko giggled.

"I still can't consume too many, and they won't help much since I have a high Cultivation Stage." The Ancestral Beast didn't want to consume too many, but since they were Perfect Quality Pills, she didn't need to worry about Pill Poison as much.

"Well, we can solve everything later. Now eat." Witch Aiko puffed up her cheeks. Nobody can escape her grasp, especially when she was helping!

"Fine, fine." The Ancestral Beast surrendered. She was talking to someone who could smack that bastard and not only get away with it, but also make him suffer. She was not your average Fox and maybe that's why she was so special.

"Good~" Witch Aiko hummed happily. She was looking forward to how they would grow up.

'It doesn't seem like poison was their main goal, but something that happened due to circumstances, but what if she learned bullshit-no-jutsu?' Witch Aiko wondered if the Nightmare Owls could bring any kind of 'nightmare' into reality. That would be pretty neat and if they could achieve that, then Aiko would be able too!

"What are you plotting?" The Ancestral Beast chomped on her fingers mercilessly.

"Auchie- Hey! I'm not plotting anything!" Witch Aiko defended herself, but it was obvious she made some kind of expression that alerted the Ancestral Beast.

"Don't try to lie. I saw your giggling expression." The Ancestral Beast shuddered. It was like a demon was giggling at her.

"I'm not plotting anything! And even if I did, it would be beneficial to all- most of my companions." Witch Aiko nodded her head seriously.

"That doesn't sound convincing." The Ancestral Beast said bluntly. 'Especially because of what I saw through my clones.'

"That's slander." Witch Aiko pouted her cheeks. "Anyway. Can I take it now?"

"Those Pills were more effective than I expected." The Ancestral Beast gave her consent.

The [Little #### Nightmares] woke up, but only one went forward.

The Ancestral Beast shuddered. It was rare that someone could intimidate her, especially since she threw her life behind her, but now she was feeling that familiar sense of dread.

However, this time it was from her ally and not enemy, which made her feel conflicted. No rather, how was she able to intimidate her when she didn't even intend to do it?

"It shouldn't take too long, right?" Witch Aiko asked her tails.

'And now she is even talking with her tails...' The Ancestral Beast's lips twitched. She couldn't believe what was happening. Sure, she already had some sense of what this Fox was capable of, but seeing it through puppet clones was something different compared to seeing it in person.

The [Little #### Nightmares] suddenly wrapped its tongue around the knife ornament, it didn't pull it out yet, just sucked on it. Then it slowly entered the knife and her body.

The Ancestral Beast could feel like she was growing weaker, but she didn't feel like her life was threatened. It was a strange sensation.

Some time passed and the [Little #### Nightmares] retracted. As expected. There was a hole in her stomach, but it was a lot smaller than it was supposed to be.

The end of the sword ornament was very wide and thick, so if she tried to pull it out the normal way, it would rip a whole new hole into her stomach.

However, that didn't happen. Or rather, it felt like the 'thing' ate the knife without actually pulling it out, making this whole process so much simpler and less painful.

"Phew..." The Perfect Quality Pills were healing her somewhat slowly, but there was less blood than she expected.

"Everything alright?" Witch Aiko leaned over, startling her.

The Ancestral Beast blushed, looking away. "I'm fine. Thank you." She thanked her for removing that cursed thing.

It could be said that she was now completely free to do anything she wanted, and it was also unlikely that bastard would be able to come over for the time being, so she didn't need to worry about retaliation.

"We can make a Contract later, you should rest now." Witch Aiko smiled.

"You and your Contract." The Ancestral Beast chuckled, shaking her head. "I'm not doing too bad, I might seem weak, but that's only because of the hole, I don't actually feel like I'm injured."

"Say that when that hole is patched up, for now you should rest." Witch Aiko shook her head.

"You don't want to visit the warehouse and explore it?" The Ancestral Beast tempted her.

Witch Aiko's ears perked up, but she somehow restrained herself. "I'm fine, you should rest first."

"We have quite a few things inside." The Ancestral Beast smirked at her.

"Damned bird, tempting me. Just you wait, I will spank you later." Witch Aiko murmured, but the Ancestral Beast heard everything as she was powerful.

"Were you saying anything?" The Ancestral Beast chuckled.

"That you are pretty and that you should rest, or you will ruin your beauty." Witch Aiko would always try to bullshit her way out of everything... and for the most part, it would actually work!

"I will just show you the warehouse and rest later." The Ancestral Beast stood up weakly, but she didn't allow Aiko to protest.

...

The Ancestral Nightmare Owl guided Aiko towards the warehouse.

"Well..." She paused. "You should be careful, we might have a neighbour over."

"Neighbour?" Witch Aiko tilted her head. "You have neighbours?"

"Uninvited, but yes." The Ancestral Nightmare Owl nodded her head slowly.

*Creak*

The warehouse opened. Now that she was free, she didn't need any of these things. Well, she didn't have much since that asshole took most things away.

*Crunch**Munch*

There were eating sounds coming from the warehouse.

Peeking inside, Witch Aiko spotted something large. Well, looking again, she was quite lean, but with well-defined muscles. Her ears were quite wide, compared to Foxes and she only had one tail.

"Is that the uninvited guest?" Witch Aiko murmured, tilting her head. Was this just another foodie? Would she have to share food with her? She had many questions, but since she ate mostly poisoned food, it shouldn't be the same for this individual.

The Ancestral Nightmare Owl chuckled. "Well, she sort of comes and goes, leaving our warehouse empty from time to time, but we don't really need food, so we leave her be."

"Why does this sound like you already gave up?" Witch Aiko was puzzled.

"... You will understand if you ever fight her." The Ancestral Nightmare Owl sighed. It was hard to injure this individual, and she would also corrode most of the weapons, so it was simply not worth fighting over a bit of food.

"... Can we leave?" Witch Aiko would just come later when there was nobody around, but...

"Hm?" The neighbour turned around. "Oh!"

She spotted Aiko while munching on some delicious meat. "A new friend for Nero~" She hummed happily as she stood up.

"But she doesn't seem all that intimidating?" Witch Aiko blinked at her blankly.

"Nero is not intimidating." Nero puffed up her cheeks, placing her hands on her hips. Her well-defined abs were on full display.

"Less than Danji, more than Mei?" Witch Aiko tilted her head. She measured her proportions, but her butt was definitely on the bigger side.

Before Witch Aiko could react, since she was tired, Nero picked her up.

"Hehe~" Nero giggled as she kept swaying with her new friend.

"Release me." Witch Aiko was not panicking, since she couldn't feel all that much strength from this 'neighbour'.

"But, Nero wants to play with a cutie..." Nero tilted her head, seemingly not wanting to let her go.

*Whack*

Witch Aiko whacked this strange 'neighbour' with a paper fan, but all she got in return was a dull sound.

"Eh?" Witch Aiko blinked her eyes a few times. "What the hell??"

"Hehe~" Nero didn't even feel it. She was exceptionally sturdy, so something like a paper fan felt like a nice breeze to her.

"Hold on." Witch Aiko immediately looked at the Ancestral Nightmare Owl. "You didn't tell me she was built like a tank." She hit enough people to estimate their defences, but this girl was simply off the charts.

*poof*

"Run away first." Witch Aiko turned into her Fox form, trying to run away, but that was a bad idea.

"~♪" But Nero's eyes shone happily. She found a new friend, she was tiny and cute.

"W-wait! You are not supposed to chase me!" Witch Aiko panicked.

This wolf seemed a bit strange, something between normal and Demonic Beast. Her tips were red, which was closer to Demonic Lineage, but her tail's tip was white, which confused Aiko.

She was also somewhat fast, but her sturdiness clearly outshined everything else!

"I told you to stop chasing me!" Witch Aiko yelped, running away.

"... Shouldn't you help her, Sis?" The Nightmare Owl asked her.

"Why?" The Ancestral Nightmare Owl tilted her head.

"She is also a guest?" The Nightmare Owl always knew her sister was weird, but this was an even weirder situation.

"But both of them are." The Ancestral Nightmare Owl tilted her head playfully.

"One is uninvited." The Nightmare Owl tried to convince her sister to help.

"Let's just watch~" The Ancestral Nightmare Owl hummed, sitting down and placing tea before her sister.

"..." The Nightmare Owl simply gave up.

...

"~♪" Nero was hugging a Fox while sitting around a table.

"It seems things calmed down." The Ancestral Nightmare Owl nodded her head.

"Calm down my ass. Ugh... I'm so tired." Witch Aiko was being hugged by Nero, seemingly she was very well liked by her.

"You have one more companion, what's the big deal?" The Ancestral Nightmare Owl tilted her head.

"I will make you my maid if you won't help me." Witch Aiko glared at her.

"~♪" The Ancestral Nightmare Owl hummed innocently.

Over on the side, the Nightmare Owl stared at her speechlessly, was it possible that her sister liked yet another Fox?

It was not possible, right...?
